    I get between 80-100mbps most of the time with my Starlink sometimes even close to 200 and I’m about as rural as it gets. Maybe your area has a higher concentration of users?

      That as well as a low number of satellites and ground stations for the satellites in my area I believe

      The Starlink Sat's are in Low Earth Orbit about 350 miles above earth. Boeing Passenger planes fly 5-6 Miles in the sky. However Older Modeled Satellites Pre-2019, are above 3,500 miles. Which with that distance makes a lot of Lag between communication and speed. Elon designed them to be Low Orbit, that way there's less Lag, more speed.

      I just done a speed test and it said 94mbps but average has been about 50

      @JAK91 I installed starlink in Meadview, Az, a few days ago. It seems real fast, although the speed test's seem low @ 33 dl / 10 ul with 31 ms Latency

    one of my costumers bought one and it's refreshing more than four times while watching a movie only one TV on service no other devices using Internet at the time the idea it's good. but needs more to develop on this technology.

      Could be a bunch of reasons. It could be a high congestion time. Not enough satellites in their area. Obstructions. Low priority. Throttling. A combination of these things. The tech is miles better than the competition and grows constantly as Space X is always adding more satellites

    I think this will be much better once theres 8000 satalites up there if your around the equator theres loads but if you high north or low sputh theres not as many and speeds are much lower

    in my country starlink would be good for peeps that dont have access to fiber but they cant even do that basic stuff, had 40Mbits/s like you, that sucks, its so slow for the price (and the satelite was getting 250Mbits)....

    How did you run your cable down the wall to a outlet in a room?, is there a bulkhead available to connect to from the room side of the wall?
    The plug is 40mm wide, how does it fit through the horizontal no guns in the wall cavity?

      I drilled a hole and ran it through my attic. The dish side unplugs as well and is a smaller plug

    Ya I did a speed test the history was over a 100 Mbs and the lowest was 85 which was the base.

    I’m consistently 300mb, but I damn sure wouldn’t trust flimsy 1x pine/fir soffit board to hold these things. That’s about a 6 month solution right there. 3 months if you install it at Thanksgiving. Tops.

      Been a lot longer than that. Holding on great also the lags are in 2x4 supports that are behind the soffit, thanks for the concern

    Do they offer area wise (small towns )distribution or dealership (franchise type)for internet dish 📡 .

      I'm in East Texas and it get very windy. Mine holds up fine. I used nut, bolt, washer and lock washer combo instead of lags

    I avg 80-130 Mbps Down 10-20 Mbps Up.
    High Traffic times as low as 30 Mbps Down and 5 Mbps Up

    All engineers test outdoor starlink performance. Why not test indoor performance. I do not think a window will stop signal or performance? All buyer could think about indoor or outdoor conditions based on your home.

      It runs in the 50’s majority of the time. A bad storm will make it worse but for being satellite it is surprisingly stable

    I get starlink in my village i put it on the roof ,it is so good , but there are obstructions appear and cuting in internet, while there is nothing trees near ,
    There is a mountain about 500 mters from my house and its very high .. i do t know if it causes these obstructions ...please anyone give the solution

      Yea when I first installed it said partially obstructed but then after a few months it must’ve readjusted itself now no obstructions

      @@JAK91 sorry, I don’t want to be annoying but I’m pretty sure you do need a great upload speed and latency. Maybe you don’t know how it works to say that, but that’s fine. Recommend you reading more about it in dedicated tech articles/forums (no ego involved or bad intentions here, but you probably have no idea about what you are saying to say you don’t use much. Even my 10yo daughter needs a decent upload speed and latency, even more than download speed. Ya. All good mate ✌️👍

      I understand upload and download, I don’t have any need for very high upload speeds. I average around 10mbps currently but for years had much lower. Yes I do use upload but not nearly to the lvl of needing a super fast upload speed. Thanks for the discussion

      Kind of. It's $600 for the equipment and about $140 a month for service. It has raised significantly since I first got mine. Started at $90

    Holy cow that is slow. Anything below 200mbps is slow. I get 400+ mbps. Not saying my connection is superior. But I can't imagine waiting forever to load up a 4K HDR video on CZcams. I do game & have 12+ devices connected so I need the speed.

      I wish I thought 200mbps was slow lol. I get 2mbps download 900kbps upload. To me 40mbps would feel like gigabit internet.

      Most people don't have 12+ devices. Around 100mpbs is totally fine for most people, including gamers/streamers :D

      Here in Alaska, currently paying $140 a month for 20 mbits and its the only provider in town... starlink is a godsend out here

      Where I am, around bancroft ontario canada, I get a stable 40mbiton bad rainy days. , with sometimes getting as much as 170mbit. With starlink. That 40 might sound low, but my only other option is to go through a regular provider, and the fastest I can get currently is 5mbit down and 1 up. So I will take that 40 any day compared to 5. ( BTW, that's 5 on a good day, most often I get 2.5mbits....)

      In your place.. I have max 20mbps 4g in my place and the starlink is 100mbps+ in my country. In the city I have min 250mbps + 5g but in the middle of the nowhere Im happy if I can watch CZcams in 1080p xD

      Personally I have seen as low as 15mbps and as high as 130, average ping time is between 40-50ms. Hopefully it works out for you if you have ordered it.
