My gosh, people....don't just drop by to others unannounced - especially not to someone you feel like you "know" only via the internet! Bealtaine Cottage is a place understandably many would love to visit, but it is not fair nor welcome for the cottage or Colette to come by uninvited. The appropriate and respectful way to visit Bealtaine if not invited is to do so remotely by watching the many videos Colette is kind enough to share. As someone who values his privacy I personally would be angry if people I did not know but who only watched my videos showed up on my door!
I wonder when she said "cold callers" if she meant people selling things, offering to do work, or even people like Jehovah's witnesses, sometimes I get all three knocking on my door!
I so agree. That's her private world. ❤
there are people with no manners at all. they have seen the channel and all its wonderful content and would do such a thing?
I find it bizarre that people think it's ok to just show up at your house. They should respect your privacy
Yes I was thinking the same thing. I must admit I was a little shocked.
@@muddyboots2531 Yes I find it strange as well.
They should at least call first.
@@DebrasBeautifulMusic They're strangers who know who she is from social media.
@@TheAdelaideWoman That is creepy, to me anyways.
Hi Colette,I lost my husband in December and I'm slowly getting round to throwing thingsout and rearranging my house to suit just me. It's a difficult time but I have to do it. SO today is bedroom day, and I'm watching your videos for inspiration xx
Sorry for your loss. Your strength is admirable ❤ Good luck with everything ❤❤
You’ve got this! Sending love ❤
So sorry for your loss. It can be particularly hard to let go of things that we have sentimental attachments to.
Sorry for your loss. ❤🙏🏻
Many blessings. May your path open gently. 💝
I love the secret garden idea. I've always loved the thought of a secret garden where you can go and dream surrounded by beauty!
The idea of a sacred garden is a lovely one. You do work hard, Colette - all power to you!
I'm 76 and I agree.. Just do it yourself and get it done.. I have a secret space in my garden .. A place to go and rejuvenate.
The secret Garden was one of my favourite books, as a child.
Your whole property is a sacred garden, and your new little herb garden could be considered a medicinal healing space with intoxicating fragrances. Everything you've done is so lovely.
I hope you mean sacred.
@@witlof5492 Woops..I'll fix that. Thanks
Colette, I love your videos and really look forward to them. Really appreciate you showing us around and also for your words of comfort and wisdom ❤️
You are so right about nature. Nature can be very dangerous to us if we don't respect it. God gave us beautiful nature to live in❤😊
I can't believe people just turn up without warning. It's a huge invasion of your privacy. Good luck with the herb garden. Hugs from Crete!
So true. My unannounced visitors always say, 'I feel like I've intruded your privacy', to which I answer, 'Yes, you have'. And, I have a gate!
The stained glass is a brilliant idea. So very pretty and so very private. And the secret garden idea is a wonderful plan. I love the whole idea. It sounds so wonderfully fairy-like.🧚♀🧚♂❤❤
When I had a picket fence put around my cottage I had the gates put in invisibly. They are made of pickets and no one can find them unless I go out and open it😂😂
Colette we like the changes you are making in and out of the cottage. Hugs and love to Patsy and you ❤
You're looking invigorated Collette. Out with old, in with the new! Big changes happening everywhere. Your cottage looks so welcoming and cosy. Sending ❤ Perth Western Australia
You give me inspiration as I really begin to focus on cleaning up my gardens since my husband passed away almost five years ago. I am always amazed by the abundance and wild growth in my garden and your nature discussion wad so helpful. Blessings from Oregon.
A secret garden is a wonderful idea ❤
I would love to get lost in the beautiful magickal garden you created. It's so lovely! 💚 🌿
Love watching these vidios Collette I suffer from depression and low energy but seeing all that you do inspires me Thankyou x
YES, It is a process of getting into a gentle and healthy relationship with each moment to moment adventure of life unfolding in the mystery. Celebration of being alive and focusing on the many different blessings that exist now as you are now regardless of any kind of distractions and outside influences.
Stay present and aware of the wonderful things that are enjoyable and rewarding to do to enhance your life and your joy ❤
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us ❤
What an Inspiration you are dear Colette.A secret garden sounds fab.Love to you both.🤗🤗xx
Oh I think a Secret Garden maybe edged in herbs would be brilliant, Colette!! And the stained glass is so very pretty and useful!!🌲🌿🍀☘️🍃🌱
Fantastic to see you on the screen looking amazing as always beautiful lady
As my granny used to say; "Nothin' to it, but to do it".
❤😊❤
You have created the most beautiful world of Tranquility. Definitely a Secret Garden ❤.
Wonderful to see you energized in the woodland and gardens! I enjoyed hearing the wind and the chimes and movement which were also energized! Enjoy the long sun-high days🩷🐇💛
Lovely effect on your front door, and reassuring' to know you have privacy. I'll never understand people who think it's fine to just drop in on you. My upbringing taught me to always call ahead. As a visitor, you never know what's going on in someone else's life that you might disrupt if you just 'drop in'. Im in my 70's and my grandmother also taught me as a child to 'clean up as you go along', and I've done so all my life. Sadly most people either weren't taught this, or chose not to subscribe to this axiom, but I agree wholeheartedly that it's the best way to go. It's NEVER fun to return to a task that is a big mess, and all your enthusiasm is quashed! You have done some lovely changes and clean-ups in your home and garden, Collette. Good for you! There's nothing so satisfying as achieving your goals, eh?
Hiya Colette, much appreciated a visit to Bealtaine Thankyou and blessings Luv Southern Ontario Canada 🐝🇨🇦
I grow my herbs in large half barrels. It’s so easy to maintain and the herbs are doing so good because of the good drainage. Just an idea for us older ladies.
I love the idea of a secret garden !!!!
I feel very in tune with what you are doing. Have loved wandering along your paths with you. It’s my time for simplifying my life. The freedom and peace it brings are immeasurable.
I think your grandchildren would love that. A great idea.
Delightful! What an inspiration you are, Colette, and your Secret Garden is another Bealtaine Cottage masterwork we can enjoy along with you... (of course, we do appreciate your doing all the work!) 😊
Thanks again and again for taking us through the garden and the opportunity to realize how much you have done inside of your home too.
I hope people will realize the importance of respect for people's privacy. I know that they are not interested in doing anything harmful but it is extremely rude to come to anyone's home without an invitation.
Learning how to live together harmoniously and respectfully is a very important part of our journey together with peacefulness and kindness with thinking clearly about the needs of others as well as our own interests.
The idea of a place of peace, secretly hidden in the woodland garden is a splendid thing to create and use for a new energetic atmosphere of otherworldly magic and sacredness in a untrodden area that is always a sanctuary for contemplation and rejuvenation. ❤
We all deserve a peaceful and safe secret space for our lives with the healing and the ability to be peaceful and calm and unavailable for the rest of the world in this place of love and relaxation. ❤
I love the window panels! Beautiful. I would want to take down the curtains to let those colorful colors shine through. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Yes to a secret garden!
Hi covering your side panels you won't be able to see out either, you side curtains cover them and give you the options to look out..such a beautiful home and gardens..well done have a beautiful weekend,xo
Your gardens are just so beautiful. Gaia is amazing.
Your gradens are lovely and a secret garden would be a wonderful addition.
Hi Colette a sacred and secret garden is perfect ! So well deserved a place to reflect and be delighted in your place in nature .. like your walks are ..and just enjoy .. We could enjoy tea time with you time to time :) Sitting in the garden on a bench covered in a rose arbor with your tea! Roses are herbal! Maybe a place to write and read ..maybe grow some teas chamomile, melissa, some scents, lavender, roses.. This will be an amazing space "to be" in and I can't wait to see what you create! ❣
Secret garden sounds quite magical. I shall be watching with much interest Colette. Blessings to you and Patsy.😊❤️🏴🇬🇧
You re so blessed to have a lot of rain in your country. Here in Greece, Aegean islands, Cyclades, some rain only in winter time. We have to save water and be very careful with its use.
I admire your house, garden and, of course, the work you do! ❤
Ooh, a secret garden within the secret garden that is Bealtaine Cottage. Wonderful idea, Colette.
Herb garden great idea. Miss mine in London, it had meadow sweet in it as well smells amazing in flower. 😊
Lovely video Colette, thank you for sharing. You're looking fantastic Colette xx
Yes..a secret garden would be perfect..just like the book and original movie🌸🌸🌸
Hi Colette & Patsy! The cottage & gardens are looking so beautiful. I think a secret herb garden is a wonderful idea! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Blessings to you & Patsy ❤.
I’m flabbergasted to hear that privacy is an issue at your beautiful cottage in the woods Colette! Really shocked to hear that. Your work ethos is truly inspiring, makes me get up off my backside ha ha . Love your dress sense, blessings to you and gorgeous Patsy 🥰
Awesome view from the top of what will be your secret garden! I think I'd find that a very inspiring place to sit and let the visual feast feed my soul. 👍😎🇨🇦🌱🌿🌾🌸💮🐝🐛🦋
Hi Colette, I really like your sticky back stained windows. They look so effective and pretty! I'm sure they will give you more privacy too! Enjoy the rest of your day, Blessings to you and little Patsy ❤❤

This is the first time I have seen your videos. The garden is beautiful .The secret garden is a good idea. !! James
How rude! Keep your windows covered...be SAFE! Gorgeous grounds, Colette!
90% of the time I prefer to do any task myself. Electrical and plumbing I still ask for help but that's only my fear holding me back. Your home is inspiring.
LOVE THE SECRET GARDEN-- a gate made from dropped branches
Hi Collette. I live in Tennessee, US, far south west, bordering Mississippi. Not the same climate, but find following you and others around the UK, we seem to be on track with the Celtic calendar as far as plants as well. Also, I have a property not unlike yours, and veggies are not my priority, but I like to grow what I can. I have 4 simple raised beds, and some containers. The only way I can manage and control. Around this I plant flowers and herbs, mostly in ground. Everything benefits, and the veggies get the TLC they need.
The lodge and herb garden are looking great! That rustic rose arch is holding up beautifully and the roses are a vibrant pop of color! Sending hugs from Oviedo, Spain!
Your apples look wonderfully healthy Colette and so far ahead of mine in the Welsh valleys. It is a wonderful climate you have there much helped by the little ecosystem you have created around you.
loving the cottage cleanup/move about going on Colette nice movement happening there oh yes hello Patsy...blessed be all ..overgrow overshare overcare overseed everywhere worldwide..goddess bless...nice fake glass panel...have a great day..cheers
Love the stick on window privacy prints, they bring a beautiful hue into the rooms also, it’s a breeze warm day here, recovery is moving along nicely and I am behaving while in the process, many flowers have popped open these last few days bringing such mighty colours into the garden and a wonderful neighbour has come to pick rubbish from the garden beds and tidy about, really though, what would we do without nature, my gosh if our lives revolved around the news, anyway thanks as per, you continue doing Trojan work, keep safe and Patsy has the right idea…
What an inspiration you are dear Colette.Love to yo both.❤❤😅😅
Here in South Saint Paul, MN, our light is similar to where you are and I feel it so strongly all the time. In fact, I've always found it odd that the meteorological first day of summer always felt so odd and a bit melancholy to me. I can feel the shifting of the time and the season. It doesn't feel like the first day at all, but the beginning of the descent, which is, of course, what it is.
Likewise, winters here can be long, but February light always cheers me immensely! I don't DISlike the growing darkness. I enjoy it and embrace it for what it is. But my BODY responds to the changing of the light and even though it's only just past the height of summer, I feel myself preparing to turn inward. The Celtic calendar literally FEELS so much more aligned with me and the climate here. Not so for everyone in the world, but it is for me right here.
Thank you for all you share, Colette. Always a delight and calming breath when I visit.
In regards to your vegetable garden being transformed into an herb garden and now a secret garden, I can totally relate to having one vision but as you work on it, your ideas change and you come up with something else. Can't wait to see how the space continues to transform.
Beautiful! Blessings on you and your beautiful piece of nature ❤
The stick on stained glass looks lovely, I have used this myself, lets light in and looks pretty while giving privacy.
Everything is looking great. Thank you 4 sharing...
Sua casa é seu Jardim parece cenário de filmes é tudo muito lindo ❤abraços daqui do Brasil ❤
a bird bath and a small chair and side table would be nice and maybe some solar lights?
Hi Colette, the state I live in was experiencing an awful drought, yet two weeks ago certain plants started to flower. They knew rain was on it's way. Just look at nature and she will tell the story. A secret garden sounds lovely and fun ! 😊😎
God bless you woman!
Abundance, beautiful abundance ❤❤❤
Love the idea of a Secret Garden…. Your whole garden is a beautiful secret garden❤ just love it …. Here we are July already 😮 we are in our Winter here in Australia, very chilly here in Tasmania, similar to where you live
Yay! A new Colette video with my morning coffee. Love your top.
Many blessings to you as well.
Hi Colette cottage looking good. I have same stuff on some of my windows great stuff enjoy the day Love to you and Patsy xxx
so beautiful. Here in middle Tennessee, we won't have any rain for the next 12 days and 95 degree days....oye.
Yes yes to the secret garden 💚🧚🏼🌿
Beautiful gardens and love the stained glass look on the door
Always a pleasure. Also am happy for you. You keep making boundaries about your channel and the subscribers keep coming!!! I also have a veg bed Im changing into a different bed. There's too much shade now and a groundhog family too near to keep it going. For changing the bed Im using cardboard to stop the plants I dont want and covering it with soil and mulch. Then I plant straight into that. I did a bed like this last year and it is splendidly weed free with thick hummus and no sign of last years cardboard. Lovely to see you and Patsy enjoying life. Have a lovely day.
As your ex veg plot is rectangular you could put a circle area to sit in the middle, leading to the path... Grow herbs all around it, you can sit and smell the aroma of the herbs. Love your work ethic Collette 🤗
Love the secret garden idea!
Beautiful home unreal beautiful xxx
Your home looks great. Pretty soon I will go into dialysis training to do dialysis on my Mom at home. Have a nice Summer day.
This is a very important skill for the betterment of her life. So many people have kidney disease and require dialysis to live.
Blessings to you both ❤
Breath taking wood beautiful. Nature abhors a space I find, and the greens spring up no time. Luv your gaff similar to mine somewhat higgldy pigeldy!, plus I also have a few demi johns with blossom brews on the go in my back parlour!, what's not to like blessed be x I have been thinking same creating a secret garden bottom of the garden
We put up same ( different design) on our front door. Some years ago. Yours Looks lovely. 😊😊
When I deal with weeds, I considering it to be harvesting them for mulch and compost. Same with cutting the parts of the lawn I haven't converted to garden yet.
Well done with the project, you could put membrane down and gravel, a nice bench and have the herbs in pots xx
Lovely video , please show what you do with your secret garden. I’m creating one for myself and would love to see your ideas. Blessings Colette ❤
Another great video, Colette. Thank you!
You look great, Colette! And full of energy by the look of things! ! I love the idea of a secret garden! Maybe use some of that willow gone mad to create another archway? Whatever you decide to do, I know it will look magical!
Looking forward to seeing your new adventure 😊
dear Col,ette..............once you start rearranging your home, you can,t stop...................that,s what happens to me every time......................but you did a good job..................your sounds sound great.....wish I had some of the big...but here they are very expensive......Blessings and Greetings and for Patsy a big hug from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘
Good morning Colette, enjoyed your video I agree with many others in comments re cold callers, unbelievable. I have the same design of roll on " stain glass" effect, on my kitchen / garden door glass panel it gets the sunlight in the morning and throws a beautiful light across the room. Also upstairs bathroom windows, no need for any other window coverage. I have a few of your calendars and have followed the same Celtic seasons, In my garden it's almost like a very early Autumn coming in lots of leaves wind blown, Hugs and Blessings to you 💚🌹
Love the stained glass..great idea!! Your paradise is looking fantastic dear Colette...job well done. 😂 I can understand that some people mean well just to pop in ..but i think it's rude and inconsiderate after all.
Great 👌 idea of secret garden.
Yes, definitely a secret garden as that would be a beautiful thing to do in that area.
Would you consider a seated area there, too?
I'm in the middle of a fatigue crash, and your videos are a comfort that this will pass, and I can get back to doing things.
Blessings 😊
Hi Colette, have you heard of keyhole gardening? You could do that in the veg patch and, in the middle ,have a structure to sit under and tend the herbs, etc, and a nice cup of tea❤😊
Yes, a secret garden 🪴!
Hmmm what a challenging question... Let's say it can be either a "why not" or a "big YES" to Bealtaine Cottage Secret Garden!
Beautiful colette xx
Fantastic garden
