Angela! This is fantastic! Look at all you’ve accomplished is six years! From nothing to this…Wow. I’m imagining some of your children getting married in this garden and grandbabies running down the paths someday. Well done!
It looks great so far! Well done. Your children are just precious helpers.
"Still At It"... Of course you are darling Angela... Your focus & determination are just two of your qualities that keep me excited to see your evolving creation(s).
Angela, beautiful! No one can appreciate just how much labor is involved in laying so many bricks! I bet it took several days before you were able to stand up straight! I bet you look at it in awe and feel a sense of pride! Well done you!
Your garden is looking so lovely and the brick path is so nice. Beautiful 🥰
Love you Angela! You determination is an inspiration!!
The roses are stunning! You are an inspiration
It looks lovely. A job well done especially with your little helpers. Your garden is so beautiful and look how far you have come from when you first moved in.
Oh, to have so many helping hands!!! How wonderful. To be alone at 73, projects are becoming harder and harder. I adore brick paths, and yours is coming along . Love the round pond in the middle. Having goals and projects keeps life interesting! There is always something to look forward to. Hopefully we are never done!
My husband built a beautiful brick fence, patio, then room dividers separating our lining room and dining room. He was a master brick man from the word go!! Love seeing your expertise also!!! Amazing!!
When you said you were tying up your roses I immediately thought of Mrs Honeychurch and Poor Charlotte struggling to tie up roses. And then you said the same thing! Best movie hands down what a beautiful garden they had at Summer Street. And what a gorgeous garden you also have. All the hard work is worth it. Thank you for sharing with us.
And here in Lancaster ,PA we would love the rain. Record breaking heat and minimal rainfall. It looks beautiful!
The memories are what it is all about … the easier it is the less memories you store
Paths are looking great and the roses, oh my
Your garden is still and always a beautiful work of art 💖💖💖Loving it!!!!
The brick path, so far looks good with your beautiful roses, keep up the good work Angela it will pay off in the end!
My husband and I wanted a brick pathway, a brick=floored covered patio (we called it the Tea House because it looked Oriental) and a brick surround on the hot tub. Wow, an old brick wall was being torn down because the Methodist church wanted the property! Lots and lots of hard work but what a beautiful project that turned out to be. Yours will be so beautiful. Old bricks are both soul= satisfying and stunning.
NOT LONG ENOUGH!!! I don't think this project would feel as daunting had you not laid hundreds of tomettes in the kitchen first. Junior has grown up so fast!!! Send the rain here please. I will take it all for you. Can you grow boston ivy or creeping fig up your house? Both of those would help cover your house like you want. I want to see the kitchen progress soon, please! You work so hard and your kids are darling to help. Do the older ones help you too anymore?
Good brick is SO hard to find! We had 2 of our 200 year old brick chimneys restored last year, and it was like each replacement brick was like a little mythical unicorn trying to weave in new with old!
It's looking absolutely stunning! Hang in there- I see your weather on my radar and I'm gobsmacked with the intensity of the rain. Courage, Mon amie! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
The garden is luscious an beautiful!😊
Great job Angela.Best to you and family.Love from 🇫🇷.
It's Beautiful, Angela!
I absolutely LOVE the brick!! It brings elegance and beauty!!! I think I want to borrow your idea!!
Love the brick paths, well done!
It’ll be worth it! Everything is sooo beautiful
Can’t wait to see what it looks like! So much hard work
Chin up, it all looks beyond gorgeous to me! You work so hard, but it is paying off!
Wow, that is a lot of work. It looks lovely. Blessings.
The pathes are already beautiful Angela. I love brick too and it's hard to come by.
Before the rain I would cut as many as I could and enjoy in the home ❤
Looking GOOD!
I was having a garden day...or shall I say pause...and I thought of you and sat down with a coffee to find your current video. And poof here it was. Your having the same vibe I am. Projects ...love but finding it hard and tiring. Rain rain rain every day. I have 2 decks to paint and can't....cause the rain is always around the corner. I love the rain....but it does make for picking and choosing what to do in the day. I also feel the weather or season isn't at parr yet. The gardens are just there....not much happening. Flowers are slow growing even with all the rain. I feel we are missing 2 weeks? Your pathways are beautiful... every step will bring you a lifetime of smiles. Happy summer days. I am in southeast side of Saskatchewan. Same weather pattern?
It’s all just so lovely. I can close my eyes and smell the freshness after the rain. Please send me some rain!! It’s very dry and brown in Southern California.
Looks beautiful so far...

Looking good!!!
I can't believe the cost of old bricks on Marketplace. Our ancestors would roll over... I'm dying to add a new garden path but we'll wait. Love this project and the kids are sweet! Such wonderful helps! ❤
Beautiful❤
Oh my gosh, that's a lot of work.... I sure hope this last you for years and years...and years.... Your garden is so tranquil and pretty. Did you tell us what roses you planted? If so, I missed it.
I don't know about there - but I can't do ANYTHING unless it rains because our soil is so heavy and clay - the wet makes it easier to get into. it will be worth it!
I wish you had a lighter rope to make a straight line, that looked painful 😖 You go ! I admire your tenaciousness ! It will be beautiful and more so because it came about with sweat blood (hope not more then a skinned knuckle) and tears maybe .P.S. your garden and roses are beautiful!
The SECOND you said you were tying up your roses, my mind IMMEDIATELY went to Mrs Honeychurch out in the wind doing the same 😂😂😂😂
Looking good so far...l know right my garden is really moving along like a ole snail ... especially my rose's...😊
Love your plan, but I’m dying to know the progress on the kitchen!
As I have said before your house is my dream house and dang it know are your gardens my dream gardens :) so beautiful !!!!
oh my, how badly we wish we could have a little of your moisture here in the west...tragically dry, dangerously hot and fire prone!
It's looking great, Angela. Too bad you can't hire teen boys, cheap. At 74, what little garden I have is hard. Zucchini and green beans doing great. Still waiting on tomatoes to get bigger and red. Front flowers were thinned out by landscaper guys. Good luck dear girl. Ask Gaia for help...
What a workout! The brick looks amazing and the roses are lovely. What kind of greenhouse do you envision?
Beautiful. Love the brick. What rose is that? It's gorgeous 😍
What type of roses are those pink ones? I’m in Iowa so they might grow here as well. It is nice to have the children to help. They learn along the way.
Your roses are gorgeous! How do you keep the pests away?
🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️💚
Do you ever get time to just “ stop and smell the roses”?
@3:10 "Truth be told I'm pretty sick of this." 🤨
I don't know HOW many times I've said that during one of my projects.😏🤦🏻♀️
Angela, I would like to minister to you, if you don't mind.
Whenever I want to do a project I purpose in myself to get 'er done without ANY meltdowns or a zillion frustrated "F Bombs" flying out of my mouth.😩
Yeah well, I'm sure our Lord lovingly looks down upon me with a sad yet amused half grin, 'cause truth be told, he knows that's a long shot.
Anyway, when I need materials or direction - knowledge of how to do something I ask him and trust him that he'll help my sad SAD self. And with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes I can tell you in all thruth that he comes through.🥹
I don't know WHY he bothers with me, I really don't, but from one "tortured" artist to another, he knows...he understands us creators of beauty, 'cause he's the great creator.
I recently had to move an arbor with a glorious jasmine in FULL bloom. Why? Because the abandoned house nextdoor FINALLY sold. My small beautiful arbor was in the way of their driveway pour, so I HAD to cut down that exquisite jasmine and move the arbor. I was physically exhausted and emotionally upset so I prayed for guidance on what to do, and the Lord Jesus came through! The way I was going to "get 'er done" and his way were so shockingly different. My way was painfully hard, his way was so amazingly EASY. I was moved to tears of awe and gratefulness as I stood there with tools in hand.
I hope I never do another project without consulting him first.🥹💕
And he even provided another jasmine of substantial size in full bloom at our orange box store at a HUGE discount!
It looks like I never had to move it. Trust the Lord Jesus Christ, dear Angela, ask for his help and trust him.🥹😘😘😘
The roses are stunning! I appreciate how real you keep it , not glossing over the challenges during a project. 💪🏻🧱 I've heard you mention humidity before and I wondered how the roses cope with it? I'm also in the midwest and yet to choose roses for our garden - it gets super muggy. 🌹
