Well... I had a go at cutting my glass... I found out the hard way it was tempered! Not all tempered glass has a stamp on it apparently.

Since most of us are beginners: The advice would be to take the glass out of the frame before trying this yourself? Also, is the soft carpet/surface below crucial to the process? I'm guessing it is. Also, we are going to apply masking tape to the glass just incase it breaks for safety reasons.
Can you cut a 1'x1' square cut in the bottom of a double pane window then frame the cut-out?
People who want to find out how to do this definitely won't have that type of cutter.

When you're out in the field and have to do it on the fly, you draw the circle on to the glass with a marker and trace it with the normal cutter, less convenience but work's just as well 👍🏻
Most sores are laying flat Ona vice when someone needs a cat flap cut out of a door.

Would this work with tempared glass for a cat door, it's not thick glass
No tempered glass cant be cut, it would explode if you tried, so dont do that
well, it doesn't help me much if the glass is in my sliding glass door. I really thought you just used the circular cutter and bam..it's done. lol may have to rethink the car door.

You are looking at about 30min to an hour, as long as you cit on the smoothest side you should be good 👍

Same thing, glass just happened to be out of the frame, but it's the same deal, we do it everyday at work, you always take the glass out to minimize the risk 👍
