    I have to change my buddies Can Am oil later today. I looked through about 10 videos before findings his one and this was the first that actually, quickly and simply explained the procedure. Thanks for a QUALITY video without 20 minutes of extra drama and excess yacking....Thank You!

    Great video, all the other guys that attempted to post this wouldn't show how to actually do this service they just talked alot and then said they were done and talked about every thing except how the oil change is done. Thanks for the step by step video.

    I have a 2012 RSS SE-5. Thank you so much for making the video so detailed and clear! I did my oil change myself and have a lot more confidence in maintenance as a whole. The only thing I could add is that my oil drain plugs didnt loosen until I warmed up the ride to a good 4 notches. After that, ur instructions were golden. Much respect.

    I don't know how you do it. I don't even own one of these bikes, but I still find each of your tutorials amazingly interesting. Well done! Aloha. Clayton

    Great video thank you. I’m not particularly mechanically inclined so this helped tremendously. I needed step by step directions. Also if you do a brake pad change can you make a video of that please with the same level of direction? Thanks again.

    Hi you sound Aussie 😊 I have a 2008 Can-am Spyder I live I. The country so long way to nearest town and I’m pretty sure I need to drain the petrol and put fresh petrol in as last time she seemed like she was a bit starved for fuel and I couldn’t risk being stuck in the middle of nowhere I have very low kilometres on her but my my question is would l need to change the whole fuel filter and petrol or what’s your thoughts on just draining the petrol and putting fresh petrol in? She is always garaged and has very low kilometres and I’m not mechanical at all I have tried to look online where to drain the fuel from but no luck so far any chance you have any idea for me please. I’m tired of asking for help around here so I would like to do it myself. Thanks for listening 😊 and yes I’m female if you can’t already tell 😂

    Going to do my spring oil change in the next week or so. This is my first one on my 2013 Spyder RSS SE5. I have a service manual and have located the torque specs for the oil tank/pan plugs, but can't seem to find them for the oil filter and HCM filter housings. I was just wondering if anyone would know them or know where they are located in the manual.

    Whats the torque that needs to be applied to drain screws?

  • @markhurlburt4284
    @markhurlburt4284 Před 10 lety +1

    Good video. Are there torque specs for the plugs and hex bolts?

    • @spyderstuff8398
      @spyderstuff8398  Před 10 lety

      There are torque settings but I never refer to them. The plugs just need to be tightened till they are firm.

      Sedrak Tovmasyan - only one filter for the manual model. The auto has two, as you point out.

    WHAT GRADE OIL DO YOU USE?

  • @pins44

    I can not get the oil plug out? What am I doing wrong?

    • @spyderstuff8398
      @spyderstuff8398  Před 8 lety

      These plugs are susceptible to stripping where the tool is inserted. Many people have replaced them with normal hex nut ends rather than the Alan key type fitting.
      Could this be your problem?

    • @pins44

      I figured out what was wrong. The darn thing was sheared off. I will have to wait till Tuesday when shops open. :(
