Have you ever felt deeply moved by the sight of ripples on a calm, quiet lake? Or flocks of birds making patterns in the sky at sunset? It’s one of those moments in life, when trying to describe it, that I am reminded of how limited language can be. There is no English word, nor a German one, which would capture the depth and essence of what I’m feeling then.
This is what the Japanese call Yūgen, a word that has no translation in English, but it’s a feeling we all have felt at some point in our lives.

Of course there is a word for it 🩷 I experience this so many times a day that life seems so unreal & overwhelmingly beautiful sometimes. It's like, am I the only one who sees this beautiful dream we're living in? I love how a part of yūgen's meaning is that the feeling is indescribable. I try my best with words because I love to write but I don't think there's anything I could say that would wholly & adequately convey this feeling to someone else. It's an awareness born in one's own heart.
Thank you for the explanation🩷 Now I have a word for the wonderous wonder ✨️

Yesterday I was looking at some drawings I drew years ago ,I couldn't believe that I had lost the skill ,seems I need to go back to it, really liked drawing when I was young but then ,I don't know when I stopped😁 life happened.
