I have a 3D TV and l have not watched a 3D movie on it since Texas Chainsaw 2013. Finally part 3 in 3D the way it should be. This is gonna be sweeeeet!
So glad you got to be involved with this! It is only fitting! Thrilled with my copy of this set. As a fan since the 90s, I can honestly say, this is the best box set this series has ever gotten. :-)
The character that got the axe in her head in the first one was Marcy. Shout Factory really needs to do Nightmare on Elm Street next exactly the same
This is actually the first unboxing of it I've watched. I've come across others, but I'm usually not interested in unboxings - except sometimes when it's from someone whose stuff I know I like. Good video, and it looks like a great set. The poster and lithograph are very nice
Loved the 3D version! It made the same movie I’ve seen several times exciting all over again! Loved the part two deleted scenes and I’m currently on the second audio commentary of part two I’m so happy with my purchase. Glad to see your unboxing
Is the 3d version much better on this release vs the old Blu ray?

We all were looking forward to your review. Great job. Definitely do a full review if the box set. There has been some talk about missing footage/audio in a couple of the films.
They got this one right...love the clear cases with reversible artwork. No eco cases unlike the Halloween Collection. Always loved the cover for Jason Takes Manhattan the most with Jason's image looming over the city.
Omg yes please do a vid on the extras! When you did the Halloween box set form scream factory you talked about the extras, so it only makes since to talk about Friday the 13th!

Piz, you are not kidding. The algorithm shot up so many unboxings like several days ago. Everybody and their mother rushed to do an unboxing. I am glad you finally got yours in. ;)

Great video, you are the most informative of all the unboxing videos. I ordered that just for the Blu ray 3-D of the film, since it was not sold individually. I wanted to make sure that it was the Blu ray 3-D and not the old fashioned cardboard one. You are the only one that confirmed it. Now I am glad I ordered the set.

Yes that would be so awesome if you could do an in depth discussion on the entire collection of friday the 13th deluxe blu-ray box set. I found out mine was shipped out Saturday morning. So I should receive it anytime
Got my set yesterday, thrilled with the look and amount of content. Only had a chance to watch a handful of extras yesterday, looking forward to diving further into it this weekend. Loving seeing positivity about the set, the bluray.com forums are losing their minds about some relatively minor release issues. Glad I'm not the only one still thrilled with it!
Thoughts on deleted footage part 2?
There issues with three of the discs, which I'm sure Scream Factory will address and make right.
@@pizowell the 3D issues don't really bother me because I'm unable to watch 3-D anyway. The other two one night friend is annoying in the other one it's not really an unrated version if that seems not in there. Last I heard they said they were looking into it and assessing the next step. I just watched some of the interviews with Tom McLaughlin, do you know if that Mortuary he's interviewed in is the same Mortuary from Phantasm 3?

The part 1 reverse artwork is the original 1980 international artwork printed in the US. And it's done by Joann Daley, the artist for the creepshow ticket taker one sheet

I'm praying for Scream Factory to this same thing like a Friday 13 box set from Nightmare on Elm Street box it I've been praying and hope it comes my dream comes true that and I'm a lost your box that will be released
According to one comment on youtube they never will because they don't own the rights
@@markpugh6808 Shout Factory doesn't own any of the rights to like 99 the half percent of the stuff that they release. It's leased out to them by the studios that do on them that's why they go out of print after so long

If I remember correctly, the artwork on the inside part of the sleeves are the teaser posters that hung in theaters months before the release, often while shooting or editing is still going on. The exterior artwork is the final theatrical posters used in theaters when the movie was released. Wish they would have included the “I Love NY” teaser poster that was used in the run up to Jason Takes Manhattan.

That axe artwork for the original Friday The 13th was used on many of the foreign posters including Italy, Japan, and Australia. I think that image is actually more common in foreign territories than the silhouette artwork we're used to here in the US!
Good news, bad news time.
The bad news, Scream's F13 box set is suffering some errors. This is what's so far has been reported according to twitter and Blu-ray. com:
F13 PART 3D: After the intro & title, credits recede back and then pop out to roughly the tv depth space rather than pop out beyond properly. There is a small jump cut before it starts.
JGTH: Missing one of the uncut inserts when the guy's wrist is snapped. Audio is momentarily out of sync.
JASON X: Sound effect missing during sleeping bag death
The good news, Scream Factory is aware and have stated this on twitter:
"It's come to our attention that there are some potential errors that affect a few of the films in the set. We are looking into the matter. After we have fully investigated, we will report back with the outcome and advise if any steps need to be taken. Thank u for your patience."
I wonder if there are any updates on these issues. I’m considering buying the set but I’ve heard somewhere else about the errors you’ve stated

should've got it from shout factory. The extra stuff looks sick. someone might sell it on ebay. THe documentary i can get from Ebay. I got the first doc just the digital for around 20.00 It's awesome.
They definitely worked their ass off on this set, but quality control did miss a few mistakes namely Jason Goes to Hell's unrated cut where a piece of unrated gore is missing.
The documentaries slice and dice and scream queens, are those docs new? Because I don’t know if I ever saw them before. We’re they released someone else in the world or were they features on some other release? Does anyone know can tell me thanks.
They are new. Their is a lot of stuff not found on previous features. Also seeing the uncut version of the original is a must.
Piz just wondering if you checked out the scream queen doc on the Friday the 13th special features disc. Mine skips and hesitates quite a bit. Audio issues as well.
I've not made it to that far yet, but I'll keep an eye out.

Don’t know what they are talking about on the OPENING CREDITS of FRIDAY THE 13TH part III in Real digital 3-D from SHOUT FACTORY. Shout made no mistake and did it RIGHT on the original blu ray . NO need for correction or a re-placement disc. I was a motion picture projectionist for 30 years and ran this Film . and this how the title card was designed… [CROPPED FRAME] Jason is in full 3-D on the last shot of him lying on the shed’s floor and grabs his knife there is a cross-fade [ NOT a SPLICE ] to the mother’s head…
THE MAIN TITLE POPS FROM HER EYES in FULL 3-D …title stops at mid-way…
Then comes right at you popping over your head. Done right …then cross-fades [NO SPLICE] to the rest of the credits ARE POPPING but they have to stop at mid-way for sharpness done right . watch this title card 3-D segment on a digital projector 200”screen size and all the credits are popping off the screen in the right fashioned
NO NEED FOR CORRECTION.
That was AWESOME!

If you notice, from part 9, nowhere doesn't it say "Friday the 13th" this is because Paramount did not sell the rights to that phrase to New Line Cinema, it only sold the rights to Jason's name, the official saga ends in part 8 Jason Takes Manhattan

I thought that fly part 2 came out in 1992?
I'm sad to see the VHS art isn't on the reverse of the slip for part 5. They could have added another slip in there with it. Also, the I "Jason" New York isn't the reverse of part 8... :( If they'd had put those two delights in this set, I might have thought about getting it. I want it, sure I absolutely do. I do not have the money, though.
And of course I want to see a video, or live stream, as someone suggested in the chat, regarding EVERYTHING. I've read there's scenes missing from Jason Goes to Hell's unrated cut. Would be interesting to know why.
By the way, I did notice many of the other videos related to an unboxing. Seeing how you are the CZcamsr who made the former Sausage Factory, now Regionfree, possible, I didn't watch any of those others yet. I really wanted to see yours first. It's a pretty amazing thing to have so many contributions to the horror genre, whether it be an online streaming platform introducing many different opinions to those who are willing to listen, especially when you and your fellow Regionfreers go off on fun tangents. As well as contributing to a box set most everyone was giddy to get. You've done the genre a real service. Thank you for this video! I appreciate it!
@AL Suspiria Would you believe me if I told you a majority of my dreams are with me browsing my old rental store's selection? What's even stranger, it isn't the 80s nor the 90s; it's today. I'm going gaga in the store within the dream because, even though I don't really want to watch VHS anymore, I've wanted the experience back. Someone reopened the store in my dreams, and I am looking through everything, even the cartoon section.
Now, the two remaining Family Video stores...one is closed, and the other is closing. Not more than two months ago I received a voice message telling me I had a free rental coming my way if I got there within two weeks. I had so many Blu-rays from pandemic sales, I didn't go. I regret not taking advantage of it, because there are so many new movies I am missing out on...!
