I was collecting Star Wars, Marvel, and DC figures, but the Review Spot had showed me some of the Neca figures that I hadn't seen up to that point. However once I saw Spot's reviews on the Ultimate Freddy Nightmare on Elm Street 3, and the Ultimate Jason Friday the 13th part III figures I was amazed at just how well those were done. The details were "Spot-on", sorry. Awesome accessories, and given the characters, decent articulation. I ended up becoming a serious collector of NECA action figures. I have a couple different Jason and Freddy figures. A Back to the Future Biff Tannen. A couple different Alien figures, and my favorite one, the 🎃Halloween👻🎃Michael👻Myers🎃 figure. I still have a couple others I still want to find. One being Pennywise from the movie IT. Also the Texas Chainsaw Massacre figure, and lastly, the Back to the Future. The Marty McFly 1955/1985/2015, Doc Emmitt Brown 1955/1985/2015, and the other Biff Tannen figures from multiple decades as well. Also IF I can find them the Jaws figures. And if they aren't insanely priced. Spot showed me a entire line of figures that blew my mind! The Spooky Spot series was the ones that did it, and I am grateful! 😊
oh man that rip on the box from the glue hurt me to watch! i'm always surgically careful with those, I had my outer box replaced for some other cosmetic dents by Shout Factory, just had to send pictures of the damage and my order receipt to them.
How long did it take them to send out a replacement box? I recently had to reach out to them for a damaged box I purchased off of Amazon, (since Amazon told me I couldn't exchange or replace it, only return it for a refund). Scream Factory was cool enough to help me out and put me on their list. But it's been a few weeks and no update lol.

Sometimes those digital movie codes are usable even after 5 years! I always check when I buy lots of blu ray on ebay! Its kind of an obsession since they started cutting down on physical releases! 😂
Shout Factory is replacing the discs that have the incorrect content.
I must have this set, and I will in due time. My one and only gripe with it is that Scream Factory did not include the alternate "I
I just ordered mine for $100 bucks on Amazon. I hear you can get replacement discs if you get one that’s defective. If I had ordered directly from Shout it would have been $60 more or so. Although they say they have taken quality control and you won’t get any of the bad discs.
Also I waited too long on the Halloween box set from a few years ago and I regret it. So this time I was like F it. I don’t have any of these flicks on Blu-ray so no double dipping for me
They had to get legal permission to use the I love NY poster and they weren't allowed to use it for this set.
The part 5 cover is the original poster art. The vhs release used the hockey mask cover instead but that was never the theatrical poster
Just watched all moves for the first time over the last two weeks... Was always a Freddy fan in the 80's-90's. Great review. I might pick this up.
That happened to mine it was a huge tear, luckily scream factory replaced the box for me

I like how they used original poster art for the covers...hasnt been done this way since the original vhs releases, except part 5 vhs cover that had a different type of hockey mask with square holes. And i also was hoping to see the alternate part 8 poster inside, what a wasted opportunity. Still an awesome set
Actually, 1-4 DVDs had the original VHS covers but they started using those shitty new ones when part 5 came out on DVD.
I know this is well over a week ago, but the features on the set are all from the previous DVD & Blu-Ray sets. Obviously there's new stuff as well, but no the making ofs were from the Deluxe Edition DVD sets that were ported to the first Blu-Rays. Crystal Lake Memories & His Name Was Jason was left off due to not being able to come to an agreement with those who made those 2 documentaries. The features on Jason Goes to Hell was made by Adam Marcus & those creating the JGTH Documentary coming out next yer, so Scream Factory really did nothing more than license out some interview footage. The issue with that disc was the scene where Joey B's son has his wrist snapped is trimmed. There is a lot of footage that was cut and is not on the disc but it wasn't on the DVD release either, it had more character development & more Creighton Duke back story. Jason X had a small audio issue when the virtual campers are being killed in sleeping bags & there's a minor issue with the 3D Version of the opening credits. I also was disappointed we got no Horror's Hallowed Ground filming locations features like we got with the Halloween set & other releases. The filming locations on this set are SOOOO boring. Sean Clark told me he would've liked to have done it but wasn't contacted. I was told that Scream Factory had restrictions that the studios game them, so the FVJ & Remake are just the same original disc & they didn't have access to everything, which sucks. That makes me think it was mostly WB that was keeping them from doing everything

I kept most of my covers stock. I changed out Part III, Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, Freddy vs Jason, and the remake because I liked the spine fonts better.

My name is Josh and i bought this Friday the 13th bluray boxset that was released on Friday November 13, 2020 and i'm happy that i did. The version of the Friday the 13th bluray boxset i have already had the corrected discs for Jason Goes to Hell Unrated Cut and Jason X. My favorite part of this bluray boxset is that there are 22 audio commentaries.
The man who played Jason in Freddy vs Jason had a scene in Jason takes Manhattan the big guy in the diner I believe

To me the Paramount films are the best in the franchise. Once it moved to New Line I just feel like things changed for the worse.
To me Jason Goes to Hell is my least favorite. Mainly for the fact that it doesn’t really feel like Friday the 13th or Jason and it more feels like a body hopping movie. I will say the opening is cool and the end is cool.
Jason X is a guilty pleasure. I think it’s goofy fun, and the low budget feel of it adds something.
Otherwise I probably would say that I really enjoy The Final Chapter a lot. Feels like the best made film of them all. It really did feel like it could have been the last one if the studio didn’t feel the need to go back to the well to make more money.
Jason Lives is quite good, but I kind of like pre-zombie Jason personally. Still an enjoyable film though.

Wow! you only got the set on Amazon for 109? that's a great deal for getting the complete series Michael! yeah I've noticed that with Amazon too that the price for this one is all over the place one minute its high then for a time it drops really low before it goes back up again but to get that for 109? I'd be almost tempted to get one more set for myself lol.

Though Zombie Jason from Part 7 is my favorite Jason design-wise, there's no doubt in my mind the first 4 movies, and in particular 2-3-4 are the best ones in the franchise and have never been surpassed. I did quite enjoy the 2009 remake and I'd put that in my TOP 5, right below 2-3-4 and above Part 1.
With modern post 2016 sensibilities regarding horror movies (in particular gore, violence, themes & casting choices), I do not think you can do a new Friday the 13th installment because it would be tame and PC in comparison. Maybe I'm wrong but after watching 2018's Halloween it's really hard not to think like that.
BTW I've read this box set had some concerning QC issues ? Like some ppl got duplicated movies, scratched disks and the lack of an unrated version of a sequel I can't remember now. Hopefully most fans got a good box without issues.

Gosh. Grew up on these as a kid, I was such an addict for these movies, they were some of the first DVDs I ever collected, just begging my mom to grab any she could find for me whenever she had the chance.
To me Friday the 13th stands head and shoulders above Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. It is just pure 80s, pure slasher. Violence, nudity, sex, murder. It gets it right.
It would be amazing to have the great white Buffalo of getting EVERY film fully or even partially uncut. We do get 25% of the films uncut. Which is better than nothing.
You would think between the footage in the films, the uncut footage available, and all of the tricks of modern technology...restoration, upscaling, enhancement, etc...that they could at least "reconstruct" partially uncut versions of most of the films.
I'm not advocating for a bunch of extra CGI blood or something....but I think they could create something that feels more uncut and less censored than what we have.

Spot- it sounds like the issues are more technical issues with the films themselves. I believe there are issues on Part 3, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X
I have this set and I think there might even be a problem with part 4. I noticed a bunch of scene flashing from dark to light near the end of the film. Its really annoying. Don't know if its part of the film negatives they had or something they messed up because I never noticed that before on the DVD version

You really should start using your digital codes. I never used them either by once I did I regretted al the ones I just threw away!! SO CONVENIENT!!! When your traveling you can always watch on your phone Or computer or game system or even smart tv without having to look for the disc!!! It really is sooo much easier I love it.

Has anyone noticed how blurry/hazy/faded alot of the shots on the part 3 BluRay look? Is it just me or did it always look like this and I am only just noticing it for the first time?
It's the disc. Shout Factory will send you 3 replacement discs. 2 other movies have issues too.

Could you do a video on unboxing the dvd deluxe editions? You have all of them, and I really want to see what's in them. Plus no one else on youtube has a video on all of them, so it would be nice.
I ordered it off Amazon. And I had some fingerprints and scratches on a few of mine. I rubbed the fingerprints off, will have to test if the scratches cause any problems. For me it was only on the later releases. I ordered it a week or so ago for time reference.
I saw it on Amazon for 95 dollars so I had to buy it also need some friday the 13th in my collecting since everything I own is halloween since is my favorite but friday 13th my 2nd so can't wait to watch all bonuses features too
Of the ones I have so far, I would say, from worst to best, Final Chapter (I can hear you all yelling at me now), Part 2, Part 3, New Beginning, Jason Lives, and finally, Part 1.

My only issue was that FvJ had no new material. True, the original release was stacked with features, but some new stuff would have been great as it is my favorite entry.

PART 3 (When viewing in 3D) - First instance of 3D opening credits does not come out of the screen correctly.
PART 9: JASON GOES TO HELL (Unrated Cut) - Missing "snapped wrist" gore in an uncut scene.
PART 10: JASON X: Missing audio during a scene in the film in which Jason kills camp counselors in a sleeping bag.

Friday the 13th has never been my thing.
I own the first collection on DVD and I´m more than fine with it. I also have Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X...still missing the remake.
I used to hate Jason X but I´ve ended up really liking it. Freddy vs Jason is fantastic...but could have used more Freddy. And the remake of Friday is much better than the Nightmare one.
I hope we get a new Halloween set with the new movies and that artwork would be awesome
Right now Shout just released the first 5 Halloween flicks individually with 4K and Blu-Ray coupled together with bonus stuff. They’ll release all of them individually and hopefully do another box set.

You forgot to look at the 2009 disc.
The Review Spot the controversy with the Jason/Hell unrated disc wasn't that there was supposed to be a new third version with more scenes, it was because the same unrated version we had over the years was missing a small gore shot on the new SF release and was just an error on their part. They did correct it and sent out replacement disc with that missing shot put back in.
yes, actually got the replacement discs sent in the mail, I think it was the additional scene in the jail with Duke no?
@@TheReviewSpot No, the scene that was missing was at the diner when the fat dude walking in the parking lot gets his arm snapped by "Jason" and you see a very graphic compound fracture. That was basically it. If you watch the theatrical cut, you'll notice the compound fracture is missing and you only hear it instead of seeing it, SF accidently put the theatrical version of that scene in the unrated cut. Ironically the old New Line DVD did the same mistake but in reverse, they accidently put the unrated version of that scene in the theatrical as well lol, that compound fracture shot was never supposed to be in the cut theatrical version, but New Line never corrected their release.

Part 1 was ok for being the first movie especially the jump scare towards the end will always be a classic.
Part2 again a good movie for it's time but what the fuck happened to paul?

Part7 the best design plus lane hodder gave jason emotion, my favorite kill was the bitch that got the axe in her head and then tossed, good fight between Tina and jason but wtf is it with that ending.
Part8 was actually the first movie I saw when I was 6 and what actually got me to like blonde white girls (you know what scene I'm talking about) awesome to see Jane hodder back and loved the boom box scene but again wasn't a fan of the ending.
Part9 my least favorite for many reasons.
Jason x again glad to see Kane hodder again but it wasn't like the past movies
Freddy vs jason sad that kane hodder was replaced but it was awesome to see freddy get his ass kicked
The remake meh and wtf was that necklace scene? I mean with part two when Ginny wore mrs voorhees sweater and pretended to be Jason's mom it made sense but waving a necklace around didnt.
