- A quick video of a 68-72 gm a-body factory ac unit that I restored. This is a video showing all the parts right before final assembly. The next video will show it all assembled and ready to be bolted to the firewall. I restore these so if anyone is interested get in contact with me
Thanks for making the video. Great work with all the restoration you do. I have a 71 Chevy Impala which my dad gave me as my first car. However, stupid me back in the 80's figured I'm gonna modify the car for more HP and remove all the excess weight off the car to make it lighter and faster. Well long story short the first thing to go was the air conditioning which I tore out. Fast forward to today, I still have the car and I now regret my foolish mistakes back than. I would love to restore the car to make it the beauty it once was. Could you help me with getting the parts I need. Thanks so much.

I have a stupid question, I have a 68 chevelle and want to put in vintage air . They ask if you want the kit with factory air or with out . My question is how can you tell if you had factory air or not
If it has the in the dash air vents it was factory air if not it probably had under the dash unit.

How do I buy that same kit? I am restoring a 1970 El Camino and need it. I searched on Ebay and can't locate that ENITRE kit.
Got 69 Nova, non air car 350 engine. Want to add air. Compare yours to Ventage Are. Cost, installation, looks and functionality.
I don't do aftermarket air conditioning systems. I do factory AC. For a factory non AC car, you should definitely go aftermarket although I'd prefer a Classic Auto Air system over Vintage Air
