Hello brother thank you so much for explaining how to make this door work I HAVE A MONTY CARLO 2DOOR 73 HAVING TROUBLE WITH SIDE MIRROR CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE ADJUSTMENT KNOW FROM THE PANEL ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE PLEASE CONTACT ME 403 909 4210 THANKS
Thank you Chris, I just did both front door windows, replace with new glass, because of you video I found 5 parts missing, all are in now. Complete re-build better then new. Joey -1970 Chevelle SS 454
Chris - Thanks for posting this video. I just picked up a 72 Chevelle that somebody started to restore. The new doors are shells and while I could figure it out this video takes all the guess work out of it.
Solid vid Chris. This setup is almost identical to a Cutlass. Helped me refresh my mind on how to put mine back together. I took step by step pics, very detailed... but my hard drive crashed and I lost all my project pics! So this was a huge help. All your vids are really good and you're very detailed which I love👍👍
nice detail i would like to see you do the door panel and adjust the glass when you get there man i will have so much work to do when i get to the 68 chevelle but your videos will help out a lot thanks
Awesome video I followed your instructions on my 70' Monte Carlo and finally got my windows in correctly. It is the same hardware and internals as the Chevelle
Nice videos Chris! I have a 1969 Chevelle that I need to remove the doors off of, there are lots of internals loose and clanking around realigning will be the real complicated task.
Great videos first off, second I was wondering if you could do a video on cleaning out speedometer cluster without pulling dash completely out! Just want to clean out inside of plastic so I can see the numbers! thanks for your time and the great vids!
+Zach Mehus you can on an SS dash with gauges... I don't know about the sweep style... It's super glued to the cluster so you have to pull it.. it will come out
Lot of engineering inside a door. No idea what grease was used, I just use chassis grease except late models. On those I actually use the same white grease that's sold for garage door tracks. Works nicely.
Can you please show how and where to bend the door handle rod like you mentioned when the inside door handle dosen't pull the door latch enough to open it.
Where do I get the clip for the rod to the door latch ? I have a 70 Chevelle and my door rod for the passenger side door keeps falling out and I realized it doesn’t have a clip there to hold the rod in place . Video marker 11:41 is where the clip is mentioned and shown I just don’t know where to get one
Nice work . Is there any chance you can tell me how to open a stuck door on my 70 MONTE CARLO. I put new weatherstripping on the door then closed it with no door panel and now it won't open from the inside or outside. Do you have any suggestions. Please respond. Thank You
Thank you. It was 4 years ago when I took mine apart. I took some pictures, but your video is way more detailed than what I have! Thanks again!
Literally the perfect amount of detail and explanation

Man, thank you so much. This video really helps. Do you have a video on how to adjust the glass? Thanks!
Awesome!
Thank you!!
Great video. Where can you find those black plastic buttons that snap into the glass? The ones
on my door are cracked and dry rotted.
Great video- I think I just need those 'breakable" white pieces. Do you need where I can get them? thanks..

It is a sweep style, I'm doing an SS Clone! Thanks alot, wish you were in North Dakota for some much needed help lol
any chance you can swap out the old kit and install it in a new fiberglass door?
does any thing go to the door lock cylinder ?
sometimes the paint supply stores have the clips for the doors. I m going to be putting some dynamat on the door. the thin kind.

you literally BOW it to shorten the throw.. shorten the rod by putting a bend in it..
Chris. Any way you can do the back window install in a new video. I have a 69 GTO but windows and doors seem exact same. Dash wasnt
I will when I get there.. I use 3/8” ribbon sealer 3m from oreilly

I need that same clip, did you ever find where to get one?

vice grip the inside handle rod open and kick the door open from the inside
What did you let the metal items soak in?
Berryman chem dip
Can the outside door handle be replaced without disassembling the internal door parts?
yes.. but you are very very likely to break the clip because you can see it ..
Did you use the original rod? I can’t find one for sale anywhere
original.. are you in the USA?
Where can I buy the clip for the inside door handle rod? I can't find one online anywhere.
opgi has them all
What happens if you didn't mark your glass bolt holes when you reassemble?
good luck
