  • This week Kyiv Post interviewed two Russian prisoners of war.
What we learned is that the situation in the Russian army is really as bad as many Ukrainian and Western reports are claiming.
In this video we’ll look at what motivated these men to join the army to fight in Ukraine, how poorly prepared they were, how they feel about Vladimir Putin and how they see their future prospects.
    Read the full interview here:

Watch the report on Russian losses here:
    • EXPLAINED: Record Russ...
*The interview was conducted at a military facility in accordance with the international conventions on the treatment of prisoners of war. There was a Ukrainian soldier present in the room with the captives and the reporter. The captives were not required to answer any questions and could leave the interview at any time.
The prisoners identified themselves by name, but Kyiv Post has used pseudonyms to keep their identities confidential.

What motivates Russian men to fight in Ukraine? Poverty. Debt.

    • @terjeoseberg990
      @terjeoseberg990 Před 6 měsíci

Poverty and debt created by Putin so that he can use it to motivate Russian men.
Because of this, a western army is significantly more expensive than a Russian one.
Imagine Putin has $300 billion saved up from the last 20 years of stealing the wealth of Russia, and each Russian soldier costs $2,000/month. Putin can afford 1 million soldiers for 150 months. That’s over 11 years. This is because Putin has kept most of Russia in poverty.
Weapons manufacturing in Russia is also extremely cheap for exactly the same reason. Labor is cheaper. The minimum wage in Russia is $162/month. In the United States, someone earning minimum wage makes $162 in one and half days. In Brazil the minimum wage is $250/month.
The extreme poverty of the Russian population is an advantage for Putin. Fortunately advanced Russian technology is a fantasy. A myth that’s been debunked by Ukraine.

in relation to what I'd ask a Russian soldier . that's easy. considering he's a prisoner who doesn't want to go back i'd ask him if he's willing to warn his family, his friends & his fellow countrymen about the truth of everything and set up a support team of like minded prisoners as a think tank to create ways to reach his countrymen spreading the truth in such a way to dezombify them and make them stand against Putin using videos, msm, even direct phone calls. if Ukraine has 17,000 prisoners that's a powerful propaganda army against Putin and his cronies. if the people know the truth of what Putin is doing he will loose grassroots support which will in time spill over into less conscripts & eventual rebellion & civil war

Hello. An interesting video. They are fighting for money. Learning about Russian salaries I no longer wonder, why larger salaries will be so fascinating they are ready to risk their own lives. The hope of speedy freedom from prison can be a very inviting thought, - provided the
Russians will let them actually return home. I doubt it. - Out of interest, I was figuring out what I would do if I were a Russian, who is offered a fake job as a border guard or is openly forced to go to fight. I firmly believe the best and the only choice would be getting in touch with the "I want to live " line, going to Ukraine, and trying my luck to let the Ukrainian Armed Forces pick me up. They could give me new ID papers and a new life someplace else. Not many of us get a well-organized plan B, the chance to begin a new life. Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦

Early in the war I subscribed to Zolkin? or something like that. But they want to show 45 minute to two hour long boring videos instead of editing them. So thanks for this update.

There have been many POW interviews. But they have to be careful what they say. The FSB does keep track. Many in off camera questioning do confirm what your analysis is. It is very dystopian to hear them almost recited propaganda by many but reverse that off camera.

You can ask the POWS (you asked in the video) if they are aware that Russia threatened the European continent with nuclear extinction. And if they are aware about that those are 500 mil. people. And that Putin declared war on the entire continent. And if they do know that Irish, English, French, Spanish etc. can see what they are doing & how this looks for those "to be conquered/extinct" Belgians (f.e.).

but i also see videos on youtube where POW get intervied and one video they said there are units that are out there with mobile furnaces to burn bodies no body no money, and often the zink coffins are empty when to are open back in Russia. I'm asking me often where all this should end or where this leads.

There are hundreds of interviews with POWs on "Volodymyr Zolkin" channel. Alas, they are all in Russian. No autotranslation is available. If I recall correctly, there is another channel where some of those interviews are at least partially translated into English. I cannot call the channel's name to mind.

wow that's scary! It does explain why the Russian Army has been largely ineffective and disorganised! My question for the POWs would be How do we bring this "war" to a conclusion?

  • @frasercrone3838

You have to wonder though that if this is so why is the front holding up. I would have thought that whole pockets of soldiers would just fold rather than fight. Who are the ones that are able to stall the Ukrainian advances?
