#1 Reason: You have abandonment issues. If you get a GSD, you will never be alone ever again. Ever.
😂
Not going to lie, this is true. Darned dog will NOT get in the bed unless snacks are involved, no matter how darned cold it is. Only part of his past I haven't been able to recondition. Also, guess who the protector is? Hint, she's over 65 and weighs 115 :/
Hip dyspasia has become common in this guys
@@Indianpetguy Much less common these days, fortunately. Much has been done in Europe to remove the problem from the line by testing for it and strictly controlling the breed, less so in the US but it's gotten better since the last few decades.
@@IndianpetguyThat is why you don't get a show line GSD. Get a DDR line GSD. Less joint issues, typically live longer, although high energy, super shedder, strong willed. They need a strong Leader, lots of training, and socializing. I My DDR is the best dog I've ever owned.
I grew up with a German shepherd. She protected us from a robbery on the street once and then protected me from a man who jumped the fence into our yard one day.
But she never once tried to harm me or anyone in our family...best dog ever.
Reason number 5: They're absolutely gorgeous animals
Best breed in the world ❤️.
I know someone finally understands
My german shepherd Sherman is amazing and cross trained in obedience, assists with helping me maintain my balance and reaching thing when my MS acts up. He is also amazing with the children in the next door park and I show kids how obedience helps him help me
They’re such smart sensitive helpers! Bless you and your pup.
Couldn’t agree more. We’ve had GS’s for the past decade, and my wife and I have loved every minute of it. Very protective. Loyal. Great personalities. Very trainable. We dug deep to find out why they bite. Sometimes we found…. because they misinterpret actions that they see as dangerous to us. such a shaking our neighbors hand. Wonderful dogs.
Hey, I’m considering getting a mixed GSD dog from our local humane society. Definitely looks like a German Shepherd and not sure what the mix is, she’s still a puppy. Only thing I’m concerned about is she seemed overly friendly, I want a protective dog and she didn’t seem the least bit on guard when she first met me. I’d love to hear feedback and recommendations if I do get her.
Loyal beautiful animals ❤️
They also sing to you when you get home ❤️ (if you have multiple)
I have one and he sings a two hour long concert when i get home 😂
if german shepherds sing then a husky is a whole dang orchestra.
Yep, my GSDs know the sound of my diesel engine and begin serenading me as soon as I pull up to the house. 😂
Mine sing early when i check on her and rub tummy, have to tell her not that laud and mine is so adorable , so kind and gentle
I've had many rescue German Shepherds in my lifetime, some were purebred, some were mixes. Loved them all!
Thé most noble créatures ❤
I’ve had two in my life. The heartbreak is the hip dysplasia. They are the smartest, mot loving, loyal and sensitive protectors.
Hip Dysplasia: InClover, Barleans for Animals, Bromelean/Turmeric 1 450 mg capsule daily & Pet Releaf (CBD). My GSD at age 10 began walking on his knuckles when he walked, became bloody. Put him down at 13.6 years old. Good luck if & when you have to deal with arthritis or dysplasia again! A rock solid raw diet is key too, don't forget the green tripe.
This is a breeder issue, not a breed issue. Usually in show lines. People who care about the BREED don't breed slope back
@@NoNo_IStay no kidding. I've bred show lines, imported both puppies & adults from Germany for over a span of 25 years. Guess what? Only 2 from the better part of both 60 puppies & dogs were diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Yes, it it is true show lines are more apt to get it vs working lines because there are irresponsible breeders who breed OVERLY ANGULATED dogs which can unfortunately create hip dysplasia. However too many "experts" confuse slope with appropriate angulation. You do know that a West German show line 🐕🦺 GSD covers more ground in a gait than a working line GSD? I would also like to point out that the "angulation" in an American line Shepherd is deplorable!
@@brendanperry6429 one was a German dog. He was broken at birth. We went through enough interviews and paperwork to adopt a child. The breeder gave the dog to us @ 49 days so that he’d be bonded to us. The puppy showed pain and no desire to run. We got him to a good vet who’d been a Canine Police officer veterinarian. He said his elbows were malformed. It was so sad. The breeder said bring him back and they’d euthanize him. I couldn’t do it. He suffered very much and it took me more than 15 years to get over it. 😞
That's why you need the original straight-back breed from Germany and not the sloped back common in show lines. That aids in hip dysplasia. Original breed were straight back. Man ruined the GSD from its original form.
The FLOOF!! It goes everywhere 😂
My absolute favorite breed, I was raised around shepherds from a small child. Since my last one passed I keep telling myself that I don't want another dog then I see your shepherd video and now I want another German shepherd. 😍😍
I had German Shepherds growing I bought a Kangal a couple of years ago everything he said a Kangal is better at the best dig on the Planet ❤ but definitely must be trained properly and Socialize them as a pup
Good for me I have one Already.
We just Lost our German Shepard of 15 years, She was just the best, loved all of us, great protector.
Once you own one, you need two, and then all of a sudden you’re debating on a third and one day you wake up and realize you’re a German Shepherd collector.
if only life could be that great
That ball of fur you saw at the end is about 3-4 brush strokes 🤣
We have a couple of check republic working line German Shepards and they are amazing
Perfect GSD's. None better.

Sable's?
I watched a GS breakup a fight between two other dogs in a dog park by pushing its body between the two and quickly knocking them in the nose with the side of its body. I was amazed.
Love my German Shepard
The best dog breed. They still have wolve instinct knowing how to watch with mind. They Know when to act and expect you to collaborate not just dominate.
I just adopted a German Shepherd , husky mix. She has one brown eye and one blue eye . Shes about a year old. Super smart dog but she is pure energy. I played with her for four hours before she took a nap .Also she see, hears, and smells everything.
The best dog breed.. Period .
The only flaw of a gsd is the shedding creating 4 new dogs a day but i wouldn’t change it for the world 🇩🇪🐕
Indeed, it’s worth it. If I didn’t love her (GSD’s) sooo much, I wouldn’t be able to handle it. But my love for her, is more powerful than my hate for all that hair.
German S
Extremly popular and best dog in the world
My all time favorite breed ❤
My first german shepherd was a showline she only lived close to age 8 she had a huge mass attached to her spleen. So painful losing her. She was great with my cats and children. She was my dream dog as a child and i had to wait to get my own home before i got her. She made me believe in the breed and taught me so much both in life and after her passing 💔 RIP Shiloh. My 2nd GSD another showline was an awful experience. Her heart was failing her only 25 days in of bringing her home. A major heart valve issue. RIP Dixie. My 3rd GSD a working line She is 10 weeks old. I absolutely love her and the working line. She reminds me of my first sweet girl. She was heaven sent. RIEKA 🐺 has my heart and i love her drive. She love to guard the soccer ball as we play and shes good making sure i dont score 🤣 and she's a super fun pup! Nothing better than a dog and ill forever have a special place in my heart for German Shepherds ♥️
it took my dog a small month to do cool cute tricks! (I try pointing and telling him "give me paw" to say as well, i give him small treats that are a bit enough for him to try it often! And best for him because it is made with good peanut butter in it!)
I have a shepsky puppy but unfortunately not train yet but that's on my part still loving tho
The most lovable dog I ever owned was a German Shepherd
Best dog breed. Ticks all the boxes.
I miss my girl. ❤😭
I have a 6yo black German shepherd and the hair tumbleweeds are insane! We added a pit/rottie puppy in November of last year. I was so surprised in how much hair she sheds! Now we have black and white tumbleweeds
You want to feel what True Love feels like.
That is a beautiful shepherd in your video!
Can you do a video on Standard Poodles positive and negatives
I had a good one once upon a time.
Best dogs EVER
My German Shepherd was totally infallible when it came to detecting evil people. You can't fool these dogs.
Top 3 reasons I have a GSD- 1, 2, 3, SHES A GSD 😆🥰
It's hard not to love a GSD.
The amazing heroic shepherd!!
Goodness that gsd is stunning!!
After having a german shepherd, I'll never get a different dog.
We love our German Shedder 😂🤣😂🤣

Ah the German shedder. Wonder what the top reason not to get it is? 😂

Love you channel btw
Hello, I was wondering what you think about the boxer braid??? Would really appreciate your input. Was wondering if you could make a video on the boxer breed?
My box MAX Is the best❤❤
Brought up with Alsatians and they are the best dogs ever. Yeah, they shed all year round but thats no reason not to get one. They need exercise everyday as well. Lots.
My german shepherd likes to play football.
Best dog I ever had, my best friend and no one comes near my house without my authorization
Mines a German Shedder but I still wouldn't give her up
dont ask a german shepard what he did in 1939-1945
😂
😂😂😂😂😂
He was cooking 😂
*erika theme intensifies*
He did precisely what he was trained to do. Just like a firearm - can be trained for good or evil. Ask him what he did in Vietnam, Korea, Irag, Afghanistan... He saved MANY lives. I really hope you're not implying the dog is Anti-Semite, they also served US forces w/AKC endorsement "Dogs for Defense" (1942) owners donated their dogs for protection of US facilities. They then were the best detection against German non-metallic landmines further helping allied forces to win the war.
I would call my good boy Luger.
The shedding
I HAVE A GERMAN SHEPHERD KYLO❤❤
My gs Koda knows his command words but he has much energy to keep his focus for long.
I was lucky enough to have grown up with a wonderful male shepherd, our family dog, and had wanted to get one my whole life since then. I finally had the circumstances to be able to properly take care of one a few years ago, and adopted an abandoned female at 1 ½ years of age.
She was housebroken but completely untrained and barely socialised with other dogs, in spite of this, and with consistent handling and unlimited amounts of love, she matured into the most calm, stable, affectionate, and well behaved dog you could imagine. They are an incredible breed, to my mind the king of all breeds for their versatility, athleticism, and intelligence, including emotional intelligence.
Other dogs recognise their natural place in the scheme of things, mine os quite naturally dominant without needing to show it too overtly, but she will submit gracefully to certain dogs, like dominant huskies and certain dogs much larger than her.
The most amazing thing is to watch how she adapts to other dogs during play, she can mix it up with even the tiniest dogs without hurting them, and she adapts t their play style and is endlessly creative when it comes to playing with other dogs, a beautiful thing to watch.
It helps that I live in a place where we can spend hours in the forest and climbing mountains, we walk about 10km a day and it's rare she doesn't get a chance to interact or hang out with other doggy friends every day, she really needs this, having become accustomed to it.
She is truly an ambassador for the breed, we've even been able to help kids and a few adults who are afraid of dogs to overcome their resistance and fears.
I have had a German Shepherd since my was 6 years old. Sheba was my first one, then Rosco, Riley, Aries, kya and finally my beautiful baby girl Luna!
And very lovy
I have a female one, damn that dog liked playing when she was younger.
I'd always be tired when I spend my day at home.
I had a German shepherd but she died her name was amara she died from leg cancer I miss her so much
We are quite happy with ours.
And Shed like crazy😂
I have two German Shepherds
Mine died after the back half of his body randomly stopped working and they had to put him down. He was pretty old but should have had a few more years in him still
You can make lots of pillows with their hair 😂
The German Shepard yarn barn
So true ❤
Which dog breed is like a GSD minus the hair ?
Ma runs a daycare and willow (female german shepherd) took her maybe 1 full month to get use to a daycare not because of the kids but different adults coming to pick their children
Yup. I have 2 female GSD's. Love my fur babies! ❤
Dont forget the floof the ball of floof
U guys see the dust ball on the dog bottom left corner
Would a German shepherd be good at following a blood trail when you’re out hunting and you’re tracking an animal you shot?
If you train it to, it will
I always have a dream of having a German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees and BernaDoodle on acres of land.
Good dogs for sure 😊
I have always been leery of German Shepherds . My first memory of German Shepherds is going to visit my Dad's Cousin and his family and their son's face was all bandaged up . He had been playing around with his friend , play wrestling , and the his friends German Shepherd attacked him . He was saved from more serious injuries only because he was able to protect his face with his baseball glove .
That agility clip was giving show line 😂
I’d love to have one but too much hair is my problem 😷🤧
I have a German Shedder mix, he's a great dog but dang does he shed...
I happen to love Dutch Shepherds, if only because in my opinion their intelligence is almost human. Which is also the very thing that makes them difficult to handle. However, German Shepherds have that air about them, of being the adult in the room, all grown up as opposed to the Dutch Shepherds being the juvenile hooligans tearing up the neighbourhood. Malinois are kind of Dutch Shepherds with better manners...
belgium shepherd: chaos the destroy items
what happens if two people tell Thanos “here”, and what happens if you tell thanos to guard a person?
You should also check the parents out, my GSD husky mix is an amazing dog. 0 protective qualities. We got her for the temperament and pattern. Trainer thinks she should be exposed to search and rescue course because of her and her Mama's nose. Puppy mama is a retired narcotics dog, nothing but a sweet little narc/tattletale. Just like the dogs that fail out of police K9 training, some of them refuse to be guardians or be aggressive.
They are amazing. I have two - they match my mood and energy. Just lovely breed ❤
German shepherd ❤😍😍👍
Mine just turned one. Time flies. Best decision of my life. 🩷🩷🩷
Shed like no other
Try a German Shepherd / Norwegian Elkhound mix😂😂😂
When they are losing winter coat
