@@hotbread1004and someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d definitely say this is anxiety induced panting based on “tail up curiosity”. I can only assume the anxiety comes from the idea that this was her first moment where Prince corrected her into a spot where she instantly knew she was now no longer the dominating, in your face alpha, but now the submissive beta. It’s kind of like a school bully that loves to intimidate and then gets that dose of reality and instantly calms down.
@@kevinexline5392 the alpha and beta thing has been disproven ... I cant believe people still are dumb enough to believe a false study of wolves. Not to mention that dogs developed a whole different structure. Dog trainers who believe that are trash lol
@@GayTruckDriver agreed. When my father stopped working our farm, our kelpie sheep dog basically went mad from not having anything to do any more. It was really sad. I always tell people not to get working dog breeds if they can’t run them until they drop every day. Otherwise they and the dog are going to have a difficult time.
Non-stop barking drives me nuts! I feel for this guy!!! I have a pit bull who doesn't like people walking in front of the house, so she will stand at the window and bark. She is a good girl and very easy to train, so I taught her 'inside voice". When I give her the command, she goes from barking loud to barking under her breath When she just can't contain herself, she will grumble all the way up the stairs to try and get away with barking upstairs. She is funny, If I have to give the command again she usually keeps it down, but if she knows she "has to" bark, sometimes she will put herself in her kennel. Almost like putting herself in time out.
The main issue is people insisting on buying working breeds that need jobs, purpose and ways to release their energy, but their own family lifestyle just isn't able to provide what is needed. People should be picking the breed of their potential dog based on how it will fit into the family's energy levels and lifestyle, instead of just going with what they think is most cool.
I had a few clients who came to me because the border collie husky mix was restless and acting out in their. Studio apartment. Why did they get that dog
@@nessie6899 Pretty wolf looking brand. It's absurd how many people take dogs and just pets in general because they find it cool to own it. They don't think of the damage neglect does. So many little breeds and hyperactive/work breed need special treatment, hells, even labradors which are super family friendly compared to majority aren't that easy. Really, people just get puppies for the looks, and when they realize it's A LOT OF WORK, they either give up on the dog or abuse it cause they have no idea what it means to educate a dog. They treat it like an object to be playful for the 5% of the time when they decide they want to have fun, and quiet the 95% rest. Worst is that they usually treat the kids the same way when they have some, or let the kids have their way with it and it completely fucks the animal up.
These dogs, sadly, are dumped at the shelter and put down. Almost all the dogs at my city's animal control facility are shepherds and huskies. The suffering over-breeding and irresponsible purchasing is causing is unimaginable.
Breed this Breed that. Stop being racist. It's a dog. Just because it has certain gens it doesn't matter. It's how you raise it. Every dog can be working or family depending on upbringing and training
@@CJ-wh7ik you should probably research stuff before you claim it my friend. Dog breeds are bred specifically for certain purposes. Like it’s just a thing
I can tell you from a GSD owner’s perspective, they are a high maintenance dog when they are puppies. You have to train them early and often. Mine is 7 and if I lapse, I see things that may grow out of control. I get compliments all the time about how well behaved he is. He is well behaved because he is well trained. Same goes with kids! Haha
Prince’s temperament was AMAZING, I can’t even imagine a PERSON staying SO stable and good spirited ALL the way through this, even AFTER correcting her it was like nothing even happened, totally content and happy and at peace. It actually brings tears to my eyes, at moments, in shear respect and admiration for him, not just seeing it as a dog but an admirable quality even for a human. Amazing!
He’s also a male against a female. As little puppies with 0 training whatsoever, males often give up to females just to let them win. They know they’re stronger, but their instinct is to be gentlemen. They can be aggressive male to male, with no training, and females can aggressive towards males, but a male dog would not wanna hurt a female, ever. Correct? Yes. Attack? Nooo, never. I was out with my male GS on a beach, lots of dogs there. One in particular, a female, was almost psychotic. She was a Belgian shepherd, she tried attacking my dog when he was in reach. My dog who has 0 issues claiming a territory and showing dominance was sooo confused. He didn’t even bark, he jumped out and looked at her with pure confusion- what do I do? She’s a female, I can’t hurt her!
That's quite an imagination you have there. No employee works for affection because they have bills to pay, and the utilities don't stay on if you offer them a hug.
Omg I thought I was the only one. Just had a huge discussion about this with someone online that insisted their backs were SUPPOSED to be roachy and that's how the breed was originally supposed to look. :/ what is wrong with people.
it's very interesting that she's treating Prince like a sheep lol Once Joel pointed out her being wired for work but "not knowing what to work for" it became really clear. She's just treating everything and everyone, especially the other dogs walking and running around her, like a herd of sheep, barking to get everyone in place and obsessively watching a following some object of her attention but not getting any sense of purpose or completion out of these engrained behaviours in her, for these subconscious tasks, seems like. I'm no dog expert, so I could be completely wrong, but that's what it looked like. Very fascinating. Makes me think how so many breeds are potentially rly ill-fitted to be just random home pets for random families , unless the owners really have the whole environment for them that's appropriate to their dog's needs and special patters
Exactly! She has a deep instinct to work and herd that has now become an obsession since she wasn't given the proper outlet, training or (biggest issue) boundaries around what she naturally wants to do - no one is cooperating and following her directions, it's driving her nuts, poor girl! I have a friend who's family breeds and trains herding dogs, they had one that was born with some kind of heart defect so he couldn't safely do the training to become a "real" stock dog; they tried to keep him happy and raise him in the home, keeping him separate and away from the livestock, etc. but as you can guess...he quickly became obsessive and controlling of everyone's movements, nipping ankles, and BARKING like a lunatic (if you watch herding teams, while the dogs are working a lot of them bark constantly, especially super high energy ones), just like this girl. Very sad, he didn't know what to do with himself or appropriately express his natural instincts...but thankfully its turned out alright for him! He went to live with the owner of a rescue for pregnant dogs that come from Mexico (I help deliver pups when they get a mama with special needs/disability that makes it a high-risk birth, so I get to see him those times), my friend had visited the rescue and the dog was with her that day and somehow or another it was figured out that he LOVES puppies, his demeanor completely changed and he was so gentle and attentive that even the moms didn't mind him around the pups, and he fell in love with the woman who owns the place - so she agreed to take him in and he immediately found his 'job' as a (we call it) Special Forces Puppy Nanny, the last word in high-security puppy care.. he takes his job very seriously 😂 he gets to herd and guard pups 24hrs a day, he's super happy doing what he was born to do just on a muuuch smaller scale from livestock😅. Shows what can happen when we fulfill a dog's natural needs!!
This is super duper common with GSDs. NOt all of them but many seem to need a job of some kind and if they don't receive expectations and "orders" from the humans they'll find something to do on their own. I've made everything my GSD does into a "job" by treating all desirable behavior as his "duty", including settling down and relaxing. He's extremely good at adapting to new situations because I reinforced "adapting to new situations" as a job too lol
My Pyrenees Annie needed a job and my mother's family wouldn't give her one. She traveled with me eventually as my guard and shadow. I lived in a camper van at the time and we went everywhere walking, hiking, swimming. She needed a job on top of the exercise. One day, as a puppy she asserted herself as my guard in front of a cop. I was lucky the cop liked dogs and simply stepped back from us while he talked but I didn't want to rely on luck.
I really wish that there was better education around working dogs. We have all these creatures who were, for thousands of years, born to do specific things and now that all that is forgotten they're expected to just laze around the house like a toy and anything else is seen as unwanted behavior when the owner is usually the one who didn't bother thinking about the needs of the animal they got. Not saying that's the specific situation here, but once she's calmed somewhat she definitely needs something to focus on.
I applaud this owner for taking the time to work through her unique behavioral challenges! It's clear he loves her and wants her to have a full life. So happy to see that!! 😍
The owner probably has her locked in a cage 16 hours per day and that’s how she ended up this way 🙄 90% of modern dog problems are due to modern people doing stupid modern things like isolating their dog in tiny cages.
@@PumpkinWitch1her hip, back and legs really look unhealthy. Sure has hip dysplasia and this can be immensely painful for a dog and leads to aggression and irrational behavior as well.
@@OakwiseBecomingYou have no idea what this owner's story is. Joel has a video that was made for people like you. It's called “This is not the channel for shaming the owners.” And he means it. How in the world did your mind come up with that reason about this dog? That was not a question, but a statement of “Huh? What the Hell?”
And my friends think i'm crazy for letting their dogs correct my dog. Her whole demeanor changed as soon as Prince opened his mouth. Beautiful work yet again.
This is what's going to happen in our society with men vs. women. Men have been calm and lenient with women annoyance until men will reach the breaking point.
One of my sister’s dogs is really good about giving corrections. She’s told me that some people mistake it for aggression, which is crazy to me. He very clearly isn’t an aggressive dog and often tolerates a lot before resorting to a correction.
Gotta be careful with that though. Your friends thinking your crazy for it is a valid response, since it's pretty risky if their dogs aren't properly trained since they have a chance of actually harming your dog instead of just correcting the behavior through warnings
It is so nice to see people in the comments not throwing a little hissy fit because you let your dog do his thing and teach the other a lesson. That's how it should be. Well done, man. Love these videos of prince. He's so awesome!
That's crazy and what patience Prince has. We had two Border Collies and when one passed away, the other one stopped barking (she never really barked much to begin with but would join in when our other dog barked). She went almost a year before we heard a peep out of her. She barked because we left her outside too long and she wanted back in (and it was only one quick bark). I think in the remaining eight years of her life, she barked less than 20 times. Someone would ring our doorbell and she would get up and just stare at the door until we answered it. Now we have two puppies who whine and bark all of the time which is driving us bonkers.
One of the best sessions I saw... This is exactly the kind of difficult dog where you and Prince really shine as a team, delivering wonderful progress in just a few tens of minutes! People not familiar with your work would call this impossible. Yet here we are. Thank you for all that you are doing for all the dogs and their owners.
Loved the “Happy End”, I mean just to see that this dog is able to change her behavior is already a big and great result, I’m really glad for her owner 🙏🏽🐾 Also, congrats for the great job camera person, the angles and everything were perfectly captured and the effort (running behind the dogs lol) is very appreciated 😎
Excellent results on her. She's not the finished product in one day, but her life will get better as she improves. My rescue Staffy/Boxer cross is 95% improvement due to Beckman's methods and able to meet dogs now and say hello, considering I could not with 50ft of a dog without extreme leash reactivity and literally doing acrobatic flips, even at that distance. He is still not perfect and although fine with most dogs now, I've noticed that Bull Staffs and big dogs with long fur coats still trigger him slightly and require a slower introduction and corrections still. He had a challenge today, meeting two young and very highly excitable Staffys today, but with corrections to remain calm and after about 2 minutes of slow introduction, he was able to meet them. Great video Beckman.
Wow Prince has an incredibly high tolerance. Totally fair correction from him and it snapped her out of it!! Really great video and amazing transformation. I felt relief for that dog who seemed to be significantly less anxious with the other dogs later in the video.
I dont think this dog wouldve been able to get through this without Prince. Sometimes this is what is required. ETA: its almost like she was surprised that the 'object' of her obsession could also turn to her and tell her to knock it off. She was like 'huh???????’
Yes, that last comment of yours is so right. As a shepherding breed it is displaying behaviour a working sheep dog would towards livestock. The day a Kelpie or a Collie receives a seeing to or backs down because a sheep asserts itself is the day that dog hangs up its spurs! Once again, we've bred this into these dogs and it is our job to anticipate this behaviour is going to come out and we need to teach the dog the difference between a herd animal and a playmate!
Joel you are blessed with such an intelligent dog, I’m aware your a fab dog trainer, but having that intelligence with your dog makes life so much easier with their training!!
I'm sure adequate exercise, socialization and very good nutrition help bring the intelligence level up a bit. Seems like some of the visiting dogs are not well cared for/ neglected in some way, no matter their owners tax bracket
Brilliant highlight of the differences in high prey drive breed like Shepherds and fun goofy guys like Prince. They all love to run but high drive dogs need to learn to stop and enjoy without needing to control everything and everyone. It's hard work sometimes. Prince taught this girl a great lesson. Well done. Hopefully with your insights her training makes a big difference.
Amazing to watch. Brought tears to my eyes. Prince not running off straight away as usual intrigued me, then you explained why....makes so much sense. What an amazing dog is your Prince.
It's the whole concept of striking your bully...once they realize they are able to be hit, they see change. Prince knows his job...be a dog but when helping you he takes over when that push is needed. He was so patient than finally just said "I've had enough and you need correction." Keep up the good work.
All Doberman's are awesome dogs. It's the only breed my wife and I, have ever raised. Abby is sitting next to me as I write this comment. She never leaves my side. And Charlie is always with my wife. Both, sleep on our bed with us. Just love the breed. Dobie's are so intelligent, loyal, loving. However, the breed is high energy. So you need to let the play, run around, etc.
I feel for Prince, the number of "crazy" dogs he has to face 😅🤦🏽♂️ Prince's correction did the job and solved the case, I loved it so so much! ❤👌🏻 Question though, why did you intervene to stop Prince? I mean, don't you think that Prince knows when enough is enough? Thanks for your great work 🙌🏽 Love from Brussels ❤✊🏽
This is just an assumption, but I would guess that it's for te benefit of the humans, so that mom, or dad don't freak out over it. It does look, and sound pretty scary.
Don’t feel bad for Prince, he’s lucky to have a job and he’s good at it. It’s all the working dogs with no job and no purpose or outlet that I feel sorry for.
You could tell how Prince had used everything he had when he did the quick shake the stress out move, wasn't much later he lashed out. It's impressive how much Prince shows his feelings and where his thoughts are, you can tell how he's thinking in a lot of the video.
Zak George is calling the cops! Love the video. My GSD pup was corrected by two older GSDs and there’s been such an awesome change with him. He wasn’t this wild but it was a great teachable moment for sure.
Like any bully from any species, they only do it until they cannot. You are bloody good Mr Beckman, I have learned a lot from your videos and have applied those lessons to our reactive Rhodesian Ridgeback. Thank you.
Looks like she just needed another dog to show her the hyper energy and noise wasnt okay. At that point her mad energy and fixation broke and she discovered a new mode she can work in, a little calmer. Excellent to watch this in real time, and your socialisation exercises were fascinating too! You guys are great.
I think others have said this (and you’ve done this once or twice)…. I would love to hear from owners how things are going for them after they’ve been back home working on their own.
The way this video ends up made me feel great, like a dog success story. You can really see her start to improve and be a happier dog. The owner is obviously trying to help this pretty girl.
This is an amazing video. Prince's correction was so accurate. The GSD seemed to undrestand immedieately that her behaviour was not appropriate . And after that, I found that Joel also provided appropriate and effective manners toward the GSD.
Funny how Prince giving the correction......produced a kind of reality check......like when a child jams its fingers in a door for the first time, and the danger is realized.
This girl looks and acts very similar to my King Shepherd! We've worked with ours a lot, but the barking is really something that we have always had to work with her on. Love your videos!!

Prince gave her a little bit of a spanking what she needed. She is not the boss on campus she needs to realize that. She has not always the boss! Well done again Prince you are the man!
"Aw poor baby, she's scared." That's a huge misread; the dog isn't backing away, tail and ears are up and she is fixated on Prince to a T. This is like watching a toddler shout and point fingers at another toddler.
I am honestly training myself a "Prince" out of my next dog mostly because of these videos. I've dedicated my life to giving challenging dogs a second chance, but choosing that one puppy to assist in that will be so much more effective than just doing it alone. I believe I'll be able to help loads more dogs this way.
There is always a little bit of a gamble when getting a puppy because its personality isn’t fully formed. You might have better odds selecting a dog that already displays the traits that you are looking for, it could even be a young dog i just think it’s risky getting an 8week old animal with a specific intention and is worth thinking about an old pup/dog.
@@krystal6137 You can definitely see the basic temperament even in a puppy, I also have selected a breed with generally good social tendencies with other dogs. I will ask for a puppy with confident behavior because social skills can be taught, but basic temperament is set. I will also be asking for the breeders' help with choosing the right puppy. I have three breeders I will be contacting with details of what I'm looking the puppy for. I am not a puppy person, so I considered getting a 1-3 years old dog, but I want to maximize the use of the crucial socialization period. There's very few adult dogs available where I live that aren't available for one of the typical reasons for rehoming (but mostly behavioral issues - which is why I'm on this path). Also, it would honestly be nice to, for once, have a dog that I trained from the beginning and not patch up on top of other people's training. Last time I had a dog with fully-me training was when I was a kid.
You are so smart fr. Ur knowledge of dog behavior is incredible. I don’t expect most owners to be at ur level but most should have a basic understanding especially when it comes to breed. I love my friend but she bought a german shepherd when she lives in a STUDIO apartment. Not a wise decision 😅
Yeah not the best decision but also depends on the dogs energy level I have 2 working lines and my female shepherd could easily live in apartment she’s very calm and relaxed surprisingly
Not especially for her, i wouldn't like to be in her shoes, Imagine having to Walk on the eggs because otherwise your dog could bark and the neighbours might not like It and this Is Just an example
It brings me in tears to see how we are just like them and how we humans need to call out eachother to progress in live, is beautiful what are you doing helping everyone, blessings ✌🏽💛
I always want to be entirely honest, so I'll say that there's been times I've been skeptical of certain things I've seen on this channel, albeit rarely. I always return though because I see how it works in every video. You really have a solid sense of a dog's emotions and it's very impressive to see you and Prince work. Don't stop doing what you do!
Your videos are FASCINATING!! Good on these owners for realizing they need help, they've not only made their lives better but they've made their dog's life BETTER! Also, Prince is beautiful and I love your breakdown of what he is thinking!
Our border collie was the boatyard boss. 😂 If any new dogs coming through weren’t gonna play nice, they weren’t going to play! We had a couple once staying at the yard and their dog just barked for 8 hours straight. Bout a week and a half, we kicked them out. It was heaven when they sailed away!
I call an accidental bite, with an excited, barking, non aggressive crazy dog… “OOPS! “Caught a tooth”. “It’s Not a bite”… but still not ok. Joel is my favorite! Refer his videos to everyone (when appropriate) if we witness behavioral issues with “owners”… heehee… And I always tell people Joel’s partner is a beautiful Doberman named “Prince”. When I help people out (I’m not a trainer, but just like to help out) I use the techniques I’ve learned from Joel and Prince… My Doberman Ziggy is a pretty special partner too. Thanks Joel and Prince 🐕🙏👍
Prince was showing some pretty clear signs of 'you're stressing me out' too, with the yawn, the shaking off. Girly just was not paying attention to anything but her own machine gun mouth
I usually hate " intro's " but this one was perfect. Especially the wording referencing the predictable thing of prince being the saving grace, but still giving hope to the audience.
There is a German shepherd at our dog park that is just like this dog. Comes racing up to dogs who are chasing their balls and barks and nips at them. It makes it very unenjoyable to be around. And my dog, if provoked will do a "prince" and it may end badly.
I once had a dog who barked a lot. She had no control over it. I read a tip to first train the dog to bark on command then they can learn to stop barking. Not that she really ever stopped but she tried and her barking turned into a hiccups sound. It’s not the case with that dog though.
Snap. I have a dog who was exactly like this. Her Savior was Was an excellent trainer and his dog Pumba. Pumba was basically Prince's doppelgänger in spirit and was the most playful doberman I've ever met. It took around 3 years before Simmie would be comfortable being within the vicinity of another dog. During those three years not only did she undergo rigorous training, I had to undergo rigorous training and make changes to who I am. Because of a rather nasty up bringing by the previous owners, I was extra sympathetic with her thinking that showing her love and care and being extra gentle with her would show her that people and other dogs could be trusted, but after a few weeks I knew I needed help. I am by nature quite meek and a bit of an introvert so my trainer out of his way to make me a more assertive and confident person. For example one day we went to a park, and he made me yell at the top of my voice. At first I was quite conscious of what the other people in the park would think, but he kept yelling word of encouragement at the top of his voice and I must say it worked. Then came the part where I had to show her tough love when she show any form of aggression in the form of short, sharp verbal reprimand. With dogs you need to be sincere with your reprimand which is why I had to build my assertiveness first. One thing that I did notice was because she was so insecure, once I was able gain her trust initially, it was quite easy to build a strong bond with her quite quickly. This helped a lot as she would go out of her way to keep me happy and this worked to our favour as the moment she would show any form of aggression, I would make it verbally clear that I was not happy with her. She would go out her way to make me happy by nuzzling against me and rubbing her head against my head. I would then shower her with praise with a lot of jumping around and playing which would show her both approval from my part as well as a form of distraction from the stimulus of her aggression. It did not happen overnight but eventually she started ignoring people and other dogs walking past her. During this time the people in the neighbourhood had noticed this change as well (She had built up quite a reputation initially) and they would also help by chatting with me for a couple of minutes while Simmie sat next to me while I gave her treat after treat. We slowly cut down on the intensity of treats till she would comfortably next to me without any treats at all. I can now walk past any dog or person and would not have a care in the world. she is not the type of dog that would just rush up another dog and start playing but that is her choice and I respect that. The main thing is she doesn't tense up. She loves to have zoomies on grass and now she will have her zoomies while other dogs and people are walking or running past her. I've had dogs in the past but it was only after having Simmie that I believe I really learned the behavoural aspect of dogs in general thanks to an extremely patient trainer. The biggest thing I have learnt is no two dogs are alike and training should be in real time based on your dog's behaviour. Just because one particular way of training works for one dog does not mean it will work for another. You need to adapt your training according to the dog's behaviour and you need to be quick with your response. responding 20 seconds too late is as good as not responding at all. Your techniques and how you adapt your training according to the dog's actions brings back memories and I really appreciate the help you provide to people who need it. Simmie is just over 9 years old now and we are still learning.
That point at 4:40... lovely! like Prince looks to you to say, what do u want me to do boss. Never thought Dobermanns were like this (my only experience has been super aggressive dobermanns)...

She was working without knowing why, workersdogs are hard, they need a purpose.
Almost like putting herself in time out.
damn that's crazy!! never heard of the inside voice for a dog before, teaching a command like that is pretty impressive ❤
But you can't teach her to stop barking

You see the trust he has in Joel! 😍
@@lulumoon6942 Absolutely 💯
I can tell you from a GSD owner’s perspective, they are a high maintenance dog when they are puppies. You have to train them early and often. Mine is 7 and if I lapse, I see things that may grow out of control. I get compliments all the time about how well behaved he is. He is well behaved because he is well trained. Same goes with kids! Haha
I wish there were trainers like this in my country... my gsd is also reactive but no bark, he will just lunge
Prince is absolutely amazing, you could tell he was analysing the dog bit by bit, absolutely incredible intelligence.
Imagine owning a company with your #1 employee works not for $, but affection. That's Prince!❤
Princes gets treats
That's quite an imagination you have there. No employee works for affection because they have bills to pay, and the utilities don't stay on if you offer them a hug.
.... the comment above mine is unironically hilarious
@@truthseekerKJV damn you lack reading comprehension skills.

Omg I thought I was the only one.
Just had a huge discussion about this with someone online that insisted their backs were SUPPOSED to be roachy and that's how the breed was originally supposed to look. :/ what is wrong with people.
@@Lizziegurl209 you can tell how young someone is based off these sorts of nonsensical arguments. :( it's sad...
@thatonekid9400 unfortunately they were actually a long time breeder/show handler......just contributing to the problem
it's very interesting that she's treating Prince like a sheep lol Once Joel pointed out her being wired for work but "not knowing what to work for" it became really clear.
Maybe she's just a nut. I walked GS before including a huge female named Donna. Quiet as rocks.
You're right many herding type breeds are totally unsuitable as pets unless you're willing to put in the time and exercise
She seems like a really sweet dog who's just been jobless for too long. Great work as always 😊
“And give her a treat for being the best girl in the world” that’s the best thing I’ve ever heard from him that’s so sweet ❤
Prince is THE bestest boy🥰
Prince dish it back like u want bark & etc at me i give ur bull shit back how u like it
I applaud this owner for taking the time to work through her unique behavioral challenges! It's clear he loves her and wants her to have a full life. So happy to see that!! 😍
That "unique behavior" looks like an ebreed behavior
The owner probably has her locked in a cage 16 hours per day and that’s how she ended up this way 🙄 90% of modern dog problems are due to modern people doing stupid modern things like isolating their dog in tiny cages.
@@PumpkinWitch1her hip, back and legs really look unhealthy. Sure has hip dysplasia and this can be immensely painful for a dog and leads to aggression and irrational behavior as well.
I hope her owner takes her to the vet to get that checked out.
"very few people have a prince in thier life" 😂 oh so true!
Loved the “Happy End”, I mean just to see that this dog is able to change her behavior is already a big and great result, I’m really glad for her owner 🙏🏽🐾
Also, congrats for the great job camera person, the angles and everything were perfectly captured and the effort (running behind the dogs lol) is very appreciated 😎
Prince is aware and listening during his corrections. That's absolutely incredible.
Your knowledge of the German Shepard is PRICELESS. I love all your videos, especially this one ❤

One of your best videos Joel! So informative! Thanks to the owner for allowing you to video this session. She’s a beautiful German Shepherd!
She is a good girl. She deserves to have this because it will show her mind and body to relax a bit when she sees other dogs, as well as her owner.
And of course good breeding!!
Really well done, to EVERYONE involved here, including the puppies.
This is probably my favorite correction. The shepherds body language was gold. Amazing video.
THANK YOU for saying a prong collar is not the answer PREACH 🙌
Your commentary is so helpful. Thanks to you and Prince! 😉
I feel for Prince, the number of "crazy" dogs he has to face 😅🤦🏽♂️
Prince's correction did the job and solved the case, I loved it so so much! ❤👌🏻

This is just an assumption, but I would guess that it's for te benefit of the humans, so that mom, or dad don't freak out over it. It does look, and sound pretty scary.

OMG, the most sweet yet funny moment is Prince being barked at, he looked up at Joel and goes in for a hug as if to say ''This f****** chick man...''

Prince is one well adjusted confident dog ❤
I think others have said this (and you’ve done this once or twice)…. I would love to hear from owners how things are going for them after they’ve been back home working on their own.
Another great one! Love how Prince is so aware and looks at Joel to assess if he can do what he wants to do. Prince is truly a prince.
Prince is amazing & so patient. He deserves a weekly spa day for having to deal with being annoyed & stressed by these dogs.

"Aw poor baby, she's scared."
That's a huge misread; the dog isn't backing away, tail and ears are up and she is fixated on Prince to a T.
I feel like most people can't learn because they never stop barking.

Wowee that was wild! The proof is in the pudding, as you say.

Prince was showing some pretty clear signs of 'you're stressing me out' too, with the yawn, the shaking off. Girly just was not paying attention to anything but her own machine gun mouth
This vid should go viral, your explanation of what the dogs were doing and why was excellent. 👏👏❤️🇬🇧
I usually hate " intro's " but this one was perfect. Especially the wording referencing the predictable thing of prince being the saving grace, but still giving hope to the audience.
Honestly i love how she is nice, just really really talkative.
Honestly, what great work you and prince do!
So cool to see the development of Prince. Great video!
You did a great job with a difficult case! Thank you for taking responsibility for a big dog who needed extra help.
That point at 4:40... lovely! like Prince looks to you to say, what do u want me to do boss. Never thought Dobermanns were like this (my only experience has been super aggressive dobermanns)...
It cool to learn dog behaviors. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve watched all your videos and love your style of training. Prince is amazing but your break down of dog behavior and psychology is really great. I wish we had clones of you and Prince, and I wish you were closer to FL!
Wow she's a clever dog it looked like she was enjoying the training at the end like she's dieing to learn stuff.
I just stumbled on this channel and have watched a few other vids, and all I'll say is "Prince" is a very fitting name for that good boy.
This is very insightful! We have an Anatolian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix who reacts like the dog in this video to only a couple (usually non neutered/spayed) dogs in our neighborhood. I’d love to be able to work with him on this. I feel our dog needs to meet up with Prince someday!
This whole setup is a salvation for these difficult dogs. 🙏
Imagine someone chasing you around your own house yelling at you!?😊
You are so god damn smart. Phenomenal seeing a master's craft. Both you and Prince. Blessings.
