This is no joke the video that inspired ME to lose weight 8 months ago. Nothing massive but I've lost 30lbs. I know its not much but I'm proud of it
I usually hate adding on to comments, but I want to thank everyone for their encouragement. Little update since this comment. In total from the start of losing weight I've gone from 225 to 175. I've also been building a lot more muscle and I'm close to the physique of my dreams than I've ever been. Not quite where I want to be yet, but I'll get there. Thanks again for all the kind words.

RIP big guy.....so glad you were finally loved. Bravo to Dad and family.
This is the part of humanity I love. I want to thank each and every rescuer. We used to have a rescue/sanctuary for the misfits-- The dogs or cats with illness, conditions, mental health issues, trauma, and we'd adopt them out. Eventually the rescue had to close and there was no one better to take care of so many strange animals than us-- it's not like we can adopt them out to people on a whim, who aren't equipped to deal with stuff like this. (Hurts my heart when people bring them back.)
We had a brother and sister who were ridiculously overweight because their previous owner couldn't say no. One ended up with fatty (benign) tumors all over his body, so he was a lumpy, fat ball, but he was such a funny character.
One dog, who's honestly adopted _me,_ was from an abusive household, very very protective over me my first day meeting him. If I'm even tickled he will go for the jugular hahaha. He can't be pet, doesn't know not to bark at the top of his lungs (especially when he's happy) and he's very sensitive about everything around him, but he's so ridiculously full of joy and love. I was able to get him from barely even being able to have a hand around him without him snapping to having him sit on a lap for the first time in his life to dun dun da DAAA! I can pick him up now! I get very slobbery kisses from him and he sleeps in my bed every night. Also, change that can't be pet to I can finally pet him and scritch his head for a good five seconds!
Humans don't deserve animals, but animals deserve every last drop of love and care in the world. Their joy will be your joy. Earning their love, trust and bond is one of the most gratifying things in the world.
Thank you to everyone who goes to such lengths for animals. I know a lot of people won't read this, but maybe there's a kindred soul or two :)
