Katie O'Hagan is just the most talented and kindest actor to grace this series. So delighted she returned to play Mia Winters, a role that clearly means so much to her.

I (and a friend) met the guys who played Dutch and Arthur in RDR2, and managed to have a long conversation with Dutch's actor before the convention really picked up.
Until we met them/went to the panel, I hadn't realized that the voice actors are the physical actors. My mind was a little blown, and respect went up even more.
I mean the people that motion captured in the last of us they are amazingly good too ❤❤
How about the animators? For example I know for a fact most of the animation in the original LOTR was basically only used as reference, dumped and then rebuilt almost entirely from the ground up through keyframe animation by the animators. No one talks about it because it isn't as glamorous and audiences would prefer to believe they are watching a famous actor play a role rather than an animated character performance.
And voice actors too.

5:07 is probably the most realistic depiction of getting shot, adrenaline rush, no pain, confusion, so if you got shot you’d probably wouldn’t feel it until later.

I know it's industry standard to often not tell voice actors the name of the project they're working on, but it's still absolutely wild to me that they could be a year into a project and still have no idea that they're going to be in a Resident Evil game

Kudos to Buzzfeed including Katie in this video too! P.S. I love how in the beginning she pointed out the difference in how people expect the characters to act in the game (US vs JP audience)

I'm usually terrified of horror games and have stayed away from RE since the 1st, but RE8 is incredibly beautiful and the talent is amazing for all the actors and devs. RE7 SCAAAARED me so much, especially the grotesque faces of the molde/infected ladies...but seeing Mia's V (Katie) A is so refreshing and amazing, abd Maggie is soooo my fave VA right now! LOVELOVELOVE these ladies. MUCH RESPECT!
You can feel the their energy and love for the characters. That is why their characters catch the scenes so many times!

They both just seem so sweet and are so unbelievably charming and charismatic its crazy. There was a lot I loved about Village and a lot that frustrated me when it came to story and execution but these two's performances were definitely near the top of the loved list. They never got to play directly off each other in Village that I can recall but now I want them to in something so badly!

The amount of passion Maggie Roberts put into her performance is probably exactly why Alcina Dimitrescu will be remembered for more than just being big and beautiful. A proper female Dracula worthy of standing alongside the greats. Bravo.

Whoa I can’t believe they weren’t informed that they were hired for a Resident Evil game until after production started? Like wouldn’t their agent or whoever tell them what it was for once they were hired? I thought it might be a secret or something but Maggie said someone else knew what the game was so that’s weird
Yeah uh this is actually a very controversial part of the VA sphere. It’s really really hard to find out who you are and what you are in till like it’s releasing. At least with video games. This can be a problem cause it makes it easier for studios to shortchange actors but it also can “possibly” prevent leaks. A big goal of the voice acting union is to make it so actors are properly informed so they can’t be short changed
It's a common thing done by developers now a days. It's to prevent leaks and other security problems.
A fine example is rockstar with GTA V
Franklins voice actor at one point was under the impression that he was working on another game, a name rockstar made up. And rockstar themselves gave their own studio a made up name.
The voice actor himself said that he had "had enough" and was going to leave.
But one of the team approached him and said "look, don't go. I can't tell you why. But don't go. Trust me. You won't regret it."
Funny how developers do things now a days.

Let me just say the VAs for RE Village have been absolutely great interacting with people on twitter. I was chatting with a few of them before I even realized their names and who they were. Even learned the loving name for giant baby is Jimmy with help from Andi Norris.
They have gone above and beyond and I think they deserve all the love and more!
