    Bought my Classic Dec 8th and bringing her home Feb 7th. 2 warm and dry days and then back to winter conditions. I've been watching all your videos and am just going to ride her to every donut and coffee shop that I can. Can't wait to talk to the passerbys. When dealer inspection at 300 miles, then I'll be bringing the GT 650 home. Will be a busy 2 wheel summer. 👍👍5🏍🙋‍♂️

    Another really helpful video by the Tiger. Chasing perfection can get expensive. I was already impressed by the XL and for £150 you can't go wrong. The XL Pro at £250 for the additional features iam not sure I need. It will be good to hear what you think after using the pro cameras for a wee while. My videos will be just for personal viewing so the XL is the right fit for me and at the right price point for more than one camara. Keep up the great work I really do enjoy your work.

    I saw your vid on the speedo issues. Someone replied that they had just taken the head light out and took off the speedo connection and sprayed some electrical cleaner in the connection and the speedo was fixed1 I did that to mine and it seems to have resolved the issue. It resets to 0 now when I stop and when I first turn the ignition on. So hopefully won't have to get a new one. Again thanks for all the great info and nice vids you put out!

    I keep thinking I’ll pass you one of these days. I live just up the road from Muckhart and as a new rider I notice bikes. Good to see you out and about. I had a great run the other weekend through Glen Devon / Eagles and then on up to Loch Earn and round through Calendar and Stirling. Perhaps we will bump into each other at some point. Viewing on a phone I didn’t see a great deal of difference in the footage. It all looked quite acceptable. Loved the camera angle including the speedo.

    Was interesting to see the camera comparisons. I have used Drift for a long time also. Currently I have the Drift Ghost 4K with the long-life battery module attached. I was thinking of getting the new Ghost XL Pro but I asked Drift if the sensor is different--as in better--than the sensor in the Ghost 4K. No point in upgrading if it's not really an upgrade. I emailed Drift twice about that but they never responded. Do you know the answer? I'd appreciate knowing, if you do. A suggestion for you: CZcams uses a lower spec codec in their encoding when you upload to them at 1080p. If instead, you shoot at 2.7K and upload at that, they will use the VP-9 codec. That will up the quality level of the videos quite noticeably. The resulting CZcams resolution will be 1440p. Cheers 🙂

      Sorry for the delay in responding, life has been busy at the moment.
      Great to hear that you enjoyed the video and hopefully found it useful 😁👍
      The XL Pro has a new Sony sensor fitted and I find the picture quality is slightly better than that from the older XL. I can also now use 60 FPS which allows some slow motion shots.
      I’m happy using 1080p mainly due to the issues of large file sizes using 4K or 2.7K with the editing equipment I have. Thanks for your input 👍

    I can see the improvement the new cam has made, but for me so happy with how my Classic rides will be keeping it as stock. Plus the money I save I can invest in new alloy wheels and tubeless Avons ! The ghost cameras look good enough to me and may even think of getting the Ghost xl but will see what you think of the new Pros when you have had a play around. Would be interested to see if you think the extra money for the Pros is worth it. 😊

    stock before i put a stage two cam from hitchcock , DNA airfilter , no cat .converter anymore , and a free flow muffler from RE percesion with the DB killer in , in my Hunter 350 the bike used on average 1 gallon on 80 miles (2.9 litre per 100 km ) , now on average 1 gallon on 75 miles (3.1 liters per 100km ). conclusion : it's totally worth it !! . the bike is much stronger up hill , quiker with overtaking (if needed) (safer!!), and rides nicer . the next thing i will put on the bike is a Fuel X ..... Your point about overtaking is the only bugbear on my meteor. Perhaps a cam will be in my future? However, when I spoke with my insurance broker about a decat they said they'd have to cancel and reinsure as my existing insurer wouldn't cover mods... I'm glad you mention this point as I've looked into this as considering a 350. The thing that alot of people don't realise is, just performing the decat make's your bike or car illegal to be on the road. If a sharp eyed policeman pulled you and noticed the cat was missing he could (if he wanted to be nasty) impound the vehicle and also prosecute you for having no insurance because this simple mod makes your insurance void. You might have spotted a recent news story where the exhaust supplier got fined for supplying the part's knowing the vehicle's were going to be used on the road. Certainly made me think because if you were involved in an accident the insurance company assessor would love to tick the box saying it wasn't road legal!!

    Hi Ian another great video love the scenery good to see the cam working well. Do we know anyone who has found a way to break the 73 restriction barrier? I'm happy with the speed of my meteor but on the occasions where we have to use motorways it would be good if we could cruise at 70 MPH.

    • @bally632
      @bally632 Před 5 měsíci +1

      From what I've read about it is the restriction is built into the ECU via taking readings from the front abs sensor ring. This can only be changed if royal Enfield themselves send what they call a key (not a real key) to the royal Enfield dealer who then can download it too the ECU on the bike, which then gives it a genuine 85mph top speed. Also apparently if you take the abs fuse out,this will give a similar result, but also stop's the speedometer working,so you can't see how fast your going,thus making your insurance void and no antilock brake's to use if you need them to stop from your new top speed!!! No one seems to have cracked changing the ECU settings,so the best thing to do,is just wait until the 450 engine gets fitted to new model's in the pipeline. A 450 hunter and scram have already been spied! These will do an indicated 100mph , like the new Himalayan making them competitive with the new triumph 400 range 🙂

    I’m no GoPro fan, (I own two) despite the cost, mine stop working when you can least afford it and they never seem to get the white balance quite right. One big mistake I notice people make though is not buying better mounts, yes I’m also guilty. For example your speedo cam produces an awesome picture but it just vibrates to much. Rightfully you are still experimenting so I’d be keen to see your solution.

      I think the vibration on the speedo camera was caused by the windscreen flexing. I take it off for the summer months so that should fix it. The mount itself is really solid.

    • @tigerness5555

      In my opinion fitting DNA filter will make very little difference but will give more induction noise. By comparison installing the performance camshaft along with a decat pipe and modifications to the inlet, whether that be more open cover or DNA filter, will definitely make a bigger increase in power.

    • @tigerness5555
      @tigerness5555  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi Steven
      I would imagine that any changes you make to the bike will void the warranty. The cam is no exception, personally, I’m not bothered about the warranty as I do all my own maintenance on the bike. Not only does this save me money, but, I get to really know my own bike. This definitely helps when any issues may arise.
      The camshaft definitely improves the bikes performance, it’s up to you if you wish to fit one or not.
