Just pulled the trigger on the San Disk v90’s on sale and BH. I’ve had enough with the Lexar V60’s I got on sale last year. They’ll freeze/ get stuck buffering and today I had one just stop working in my camera. Can’t happen. Lexar used to be the best, not anymore.

yeah anytime I hear a memory card horror story it's almost always Lexar

    I shoot havc 4k S and have a v60 card, am I loosing quality? Should I switch to a v90?

No. It can limit some codecs in certain framerates depending on your camera model. But if it's working for the codecs you're shooting then it's all good.

Hi, is there going to be any difference in 4k video quality between the v30 and the v90 on my sony a6400? I am currently using v30 200mb/s. and i`m still not very happy with the quality. Thinking to buy 300 mb/s V90.

200mb/s should be more than plenty for all the codecs on the a6400. U may have a different issue

Are the recommended cards compatible with my Sony a7RIII?

The Sandisk V30 256gb and higher memory cards write up to 140mb/s whereas the a6700 120/60p has some modes that record at 200 mbps, so can't this be used as its more than fast enough to handle the write speed? Why do you need to spend extra money on a V90 or V60 card?

You'd want a card that can keep up with the record speed of the camera. And MOST videographers prefer to use higher bit rates to get more information for editing/color grading. You can see the Sony recomendations on their site here: helpguide.sony.net/ilc/2320/v1/en/contents/0002H_usable_memory_card.html?search=mbps
