No joke: the Audeze LCD-X. 612 grams. Not a "gaming headset," but perfect comfort and UNBELIEVABLE SOUND. 6+ hour sessions and I've never once had any comfort criticisms. Comfort definitely is subjective. For a gaming headset, the G Pro X2 is the one for me, but I truly find the LCD-X more comfortable than those. Keep up the amazing videos, Techne!!

@@infernaltim The Wicked Cushion head band is made of silicone. It is just as comfortable but I feel it holds the headphones in place better. My original head band had stretched out causing the ear pads to put more pressure on the tops of my ears

I have tried quite a few headphones and headsets I use the Nova 7X/P most of the time because of the comfort and the sound for the most part good enough and you can tune it better in the software. The airweave cloth like ear pad material they use is the way to go when it comes to comfort they don’t get hot as much as others, but you do give up some noise cancellation if you need that In headphones. I prefer being able to hear a tiny bit around me anyway while gaming even though I use noise canceling headphones at times.

i gotta say, the blackshark is almost perfect for me EXCEPT the ear cups are too narrow. i dont have big ears but i do have glasses so i constantly have to choose between the cups putting pressure on the back of my glasses arms (behind my ears) or on my ear tragus and no matter what, i lose. that combined with the fact that it presses into my jaw just below my ear and there's just pain in the whole area after a while 🙃. everyone always talks about pressure at the temple with glasses but i've never had an issue with the temple, it's always been where the arm extends out. im learning i probably need to stay away from circles or ovals
also, i must be in the minority here, but i actually prefer leatherette pads; i tried the cloth ones and maybe it was just the headset but it was SO itchy and irritating on my skin after 10+ minutes. no issues with the leatherette

Oh looks like you've been upped the editing/effects in your video, very nice. Loved the video. I had bought the Nova 7s because everyone and their mother loves them comfort wise and feature wise. But you know what, the stock cushions hurt because my ear touches the driver and the material there is ultra thin, and wicked cushions designed their Nova 7 pads to be a different shape than stock and those hurt my ears even more.
To be fair, my ears are not only big, but they stick out from my head a lot. I just could not find an adjustment that made the Nova 7s comfortable to me so I returned them, and spent a little more to get the Blackshark V2 Pros. And oh man, they are insanely comfortable and I actually love their THX environmental sound profile for FInal Fantasy XIV which is my most played game. I will miss chatmix and simultaneous bluetooth, but like you say, what good are those features if I just don't want to wear the headset.
Also, Wicked Cushions is coming out with earpads for the V2 Pros, so I'll probably give those a shot when they release. They weren't right for me for the Nova 7s, but they were great on the original Arctis 7s for me.

Ive used them for a while so initially thought " Ahh they just need to be worn in" but nope, after a year or so of using them, during a two hour race at around the 80-90 minute mark, the sides of my head are in quite a bit of pain to the point where when i take them off, i have big ol dints from the arms of my glasses and its sore as hell. I would assume i am in the minority here and will invest in some wicked cushions to hopefully increase the usage of these but after a good twelve months of use, the fact they are still causing some pain and irratation is making me want to move on from Steelseries. honestly i dont find the nova 7 comfortable at all. the head band is kinda weird and the clamping force is non existent making it so any rapid head movement knocks them off. i tried so many headsets and find the cloud 3 to be the best in terms of clamping force and weight. i forget i have them on after a while and they are locked in place (i use sport mesh ear pads though)

The fact you have any steelseries headset in here means this list is a bit concern. The drivers having no cushion are insanely uncomfortable and the shallow cups press against your ears. As well as the headband going away from the Velcro was awful. You have 3 adjustments and if they don’t fit welp too bad. My head is kinda small and they will not be comfortable ever. Meanwhile the old model with the Velcro was way better at dialing in that ear cup height.
Also why are there headphones on here when this is supposed to be a headset list. Do these neos have a mic on them? If no they shouldn’t be on this “headset” list.

I've tried the Nova 7, Sony H7, Logitech G733, G PRO X2, and Blackshark V2 PRO 2023. In terms of comfort, I would rank them as follows: Blackshark V2 PRO > G PRO X2 > Nova 7 > G733 > H7. However, the Blackshark V2 PRO has a drawback for me, it has too much passive noise cancelation making me hear my heartbeat, which I find unpleasant. On the other hand, the G PRO X2 provides the best sound quality among all of them, so I ultimately prefer the G PRO X2.

Black Shark v2>Cloud 2/Gpro X2>Epos H7>Nova>G335(fabric isolates less noise than leather)

Dont get the steel series. They are horrible.
    1. they make your ears sweat like crazy (for me at least)
    2. It will beep until the headset dies at 25% battery life (which is about 2 hours of life left.............. .........)
    3. the buttons are jank, the power button takes a few times of pressing to make them turn on and off. The mute button is the complete opposite. you barely touch the damn thing and it will make the sound indicating you muted your headset when you didnt.
I liked them at first, then over the course of a year and a half I absolutely hate them. Im never going to buy steel series ever again (head set). Big F from me.
