Former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno knew that his assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was sexually abusing a child as early as 1976, according to a claim by an insurance company.
Sandusky left in '99 out of the blue and didn't take another job. You don't have to be a detective to know that they knew about his actions. Then in '01, he was caught and nothing happened. Shameful. Putting football over children.
+imateapot51 Exactly , he put several guys into the NFL. Yet , he didn`t ever get a head coaching job in the college ranks .Paterno kept him around with the hope that he could "control" Sandusky . He was just trying to control his own legacy . He knew that Sandusky would go out there and molest kids and eventually it would blow back on Penn State and him .
It's football uber alles at Penn State and virtually ALL other institutions of "higher learning" in America where the practice of bread circuses works quite well on the masses. Sandusky was very good at his coaching job, one of the best, and he nearly left PSU for the NFL. When that happened the school lined up to kiss the back of Sandusky's trousers to keep him on board. I think they may have been ready to make burnt offerings to assure his coaching presence in Happy Valley. They succeeded. Sadly -- very sadly -- Paterno et alia knew. They knew.
+nismozx6r He knew because Sandusky mysteriously left coaching for no known reason. It is very sad that the school covered up for him. Would they have done the same for an English Professor? I doubt it. Football is way too big , out of control too big. They will take gang bangers with rap sheets if they can run the 100 in 9 seconds. Penn State was the worse.
Exactly! He basically lived and travelled with his for what almost thirty years while he was an assistant. I can only imagine what Paterno knew and enabled.

No longer news. Let Sandusky rot. And let Paterno rest in peace. Stop dodging the real news about emails.
+Bring The Lulz And to that, AMEN and AMEN!
Yes he did, they did the minimal amount to protect their precious football program.
The ncaa should take all of paterno's wins and records. Cause he is wrong for ignoring children being abused.
+jag10 OK what are you talking about
+jag10 where are you getting this stupid info from get out of here with that nothing was said about Obama smh
Joepa was such a legend people want to look the other way in this. This guy knew about jerry. Joe pa was not retarded.
Of course he did
We all should have known. Why was a defensive genius not given another coaching job? They knew.

Paterno knew 100% no doubt.
Let Paterno alone
+Ben Spear Let him alone? He killed himself already to escape the huge shitstorm of shame that he knew he would never get away from.
@@jiggleykrowzer8768he didn’t kill himself
He sure did, in 76 in fact

Rlly the person comes out in 2016 but not in 2011 or 2012
This is what happens when you let Catholics play with children. :P
Whatever was left of his honorable legacy has now vanished!
the insurance company just doesn't want to pay but someone should pay and pay big because they ruined these boys lives
Of course he did! He is burning in hell right now.
hope he has a good day with the big boys
Say it ain't so, Joe PA.
He did not know.
+Chucky Justice FO!
Yes he did. No he didn't. Does it matter he's dead.

whether he was wrong or whether he knew or not let the man rest in peace
Why should he Rest In Peace while the victims have to go on and live everyday with the crimes against them?
Where’s he buried
Hell yeah he know. How couldn't he know he is penn state he know everything that was gong on around that campus.

Paterno knew,he looked the other way while Sandusky was plugging away.
