The Modern Day Bruce Wayne’s - A Blackwater Rescue Mission

  • It has been said that the founder of Blackwater, Erik Prince, is like the modern-day Bruce Wayne. If you take a closer look into his life, from the time he was a child to founding Blackwater, an American private military company, you will come to understand his drive to solve America's problems. One of the missions they conducted as a team was during Hurricane Katrina. Blackwater set up an HQ in downtown New Orleans and prevented looters from looting and provided security during the relief efforts to bring the place back to law and order. As Erik Prince said, Blackwater was good at making things happen.

This is like a breath of fresh air… BUT there is a reason Commissioned Officers like Eric Prince leave the USMIL, and it is because of “Analysis Paralysis”. The USMIL, in the planning process, analyzes themselves into Inaction. Instead of following their own doctrine of making a tentative plan, and refining it on the ground; which is exactly what Blackwater Operators were AMAZING at doing… “There is a difference between impossible and hard, and very few things are actually impossible”.

There’s been a reason NCOs leave also . When my grandfather retired instead of doing a 4th tour in Vietnam he had seen combat in ww2 (battle of Manila) Korea , and Vietnam . When he was in 1st Cav airmobile he did not find the “body count” plan viable and he told everyone who would listen , he and other Senior NCOs and COs thought it wiser to fight as they had before taking interior lines and bringing superior forces to bear - mauling the enemy but also taking and keeping ground they had fought for . By 68-69 all of the NCOs with previous conventional combat experience were rotated out and westmoreland continued his tactics . My grandfather may have died in the end from agent orange but he chose to come home and raise his two boys rather than earn another stripe and maybe never come home . Rest in peace grandfather . I know that house in the country wasn’t worth all he had to kill to get it , but he was an honorable man who fought for the man beside him even when the larger objective made little sense or had little relevance to the safety and prosperity of the United States . First sergeant Herb Eubanks 37th ID 148th reg. , 16th constabulary Berlin airlift, 1st Cav Korea , 11air assault/ 1st Cav airmobile Div Arty , 1/77 , 1/82 Arty “woodpeckers”

@@ae1586I am 🇨🇦and My Grandfather served in WW2. I remember being very little and dragging out this raggedy old leather photo album that was clearly handmade and the paper inside was threaded into the leather with strips of thin leather poked through holes in the Center of the pages so they could be double sided and it was crammed FULL of photos. There I am, not even in Grade 1 yet, looking through old war photos that could have been in TIME Magazine given the composition, subject and quality (I had seen them again when I was MUCH MUCH older to make that opinion.) and not even phased at the photos that had bodies in them…..and then there is a photo somewhere in the middle as I was leafing through this old album, of my Grandfather in FULL Dress Uni with a chest of medals and it took me a minute before I realized THAT is MY “GRAMPA”! And I let out a scream that could have broken glass, I am told, and my Grandfather came running and picked me up like a tiny rag doll and said “What’s wrong honey? Are you ok, did you see a Spider?” And I pointed at the book and just squeezed his neck so tight he couldn’t talk while I just sobbed and sobbed and he was finally able to free himself of his tiny Grandaughter’s grip and I will never forget his face when I pointed at the old wrinkled album and said “GRAMPA! You were in the Army! YOU COULD HAVE DIED! DO NOT EVER GO BACK THERE!”. Apparently I was quite upset and forceful that if he went back he would die….to the point that I had nightmares of him fighting and shooting and being all dirty in his “Camo’s” with his face all dirty (paint) and I described the nightmare at breakfast the next morning and he told me I should not look at that book anymore. (He had already hidden it of course.) Later that afternoon we were outside playing in the backyard and I just stopped and looked at my Grandfather and said “Grampa, are you still sad that Jonesy never came home? I think he misses you too.”. My Grandfather went white as a ghost…..apparently “Jonesy” was his buddy from the war and he was KIA. Of course I never found any of this out until I was in my early 20’s and about a year before my Grandfather passed he told me about his time in “The Army”. It wasn’t the Canadian Army. He was doing “special work” for someone in the Government that he knew who called and needed his help. (His words) He was a good friend so I couldn’t let him down because you have to remember that good friends are for life honey. So I went away for awhile to a different Country and had to take some pictures with a tiny camera like the one I showed you downstairs in my “Shop”. That’s why it was tiny. I had to hide it from people. Just remember that the photo album you saw is in the Safety Deposit Box at the Bank and it really isn’t something you should ever show anyone for a long long time ok? It will be yours one day honey and just look after it but keep it safe and don’t show other people. Promise me?” And of course I said yes and then I asked him if I could ask him some questions about the “different” Uniform and the medals he had on in that photo that made me cry when I was little. He said, very softly but firm, No. So I asked him if I could EVER ask him about his “Special Book” as it became known. Again, a soft but firm, No. Then he turned to me and said that he had one question for me but then we were done ever talking about the Special Book. I said ok and he asked me how did I ever know who Jonesy was because there isn’t a photo of him in the Special book and I know I have never told anyone about him or even said his name since I came home. So I told him what I remembered. “Grampa, he was here, he showed me where the Special Book was and then he left and said he missed you but he is ok.”. My Grandfather just looked at me for what felt like forever……and he finally spoke and his eyes were starting to well up and he said “Honey, that isn’t possible. He died during a Mission.” And then he stopped talking very abruptly and he kept his word. He never spoke of it again. I have kept my promise and never shown anyone the Special Book but I always look for something that looks like that Uniform as I remembered it to look as the Special Book is all sealed up air tight and safe. I don’t have children so I am not sure what I will do with it as I get closer to “My Time” but I sure do wish I would not have made that promise as I would love to be able to ask so many many questions about those photos as well as the where and when and WHY. Even my Grandmother had never seen that book and she never asked to. She knew very little about his time when he was away “Working for a Friend” Is all he ever told my Grandmother. My Fathers side of the family as that Grandfather was my Mothers, Father, is and was with the 🇨🇦Military for three or four Generations and I know that my Uncle was a Spook of some sort as that is what my Father called him. I have thought about asking him as the memory from when I found it is still so vivid and the pride that came out in what you wrote about your Grandfather was so amazing and you are clearly so very proud of him❤️, while I am also proud of my Grandfather for so many many reasons, none of them are about serving in that Uniform as I don’t know what to be proud about. He was a great man so I can not imagine it was anything nefarious but I am still so very very curious. I guess I will wait a bit longer and then ask some people who may know and while It is intriguing….curiosity killed the cat. I do not want to find out something nefarious. The time will present itself when it is right. Of that, I am sure. Be well and thank you for sharing your history. He sounds like he was a wonderful man with a pure heart. They are rare and your pride is well placed.

I don't know if you familiar with the CZcams channel "China Uncensored", they are one of the few media platforms that cover China in a critical way. One of Prince's companies (which is 60% owned by the CCP) hires former Navy Seals to teach PLA soldiers US special operation techniques to combat us in a future conflict. Honestly, I'm not trying to be a troll, I love Ryan's content; but the fact is Prince and former SEALs are training up our geopolitical rival. Former RAF pilots are also training their AF to combat F -35s; straight treason if you ask me.

I did recovery/repair post Katrina. We had Blackwater security at the hotel just by the airport, and a separate Blackwater guy at our central office. It was pure anarchy. Just wildland. I did two different stints down there, and it was night & day the 2nd rotation. Mr. Prince is being modest when saying local LE was overwhelmed. They were non-existent. There were cops from all over the world in there the second time I went down. We set up the first cell point on the side of a 22 story building. It was a T-Mobile switch and we tie wrapped & duct taped the antenna as high up as I could climb on the security fence on the 8th floor. It was just a wild experience.

The Ky NG beat the LA NG to LA. It was before I ever got in but I remember the stories. As soon as they got word that they were going to be sent the KYNG went. The LA NG had orders to pull the majority of their guys out of LA, and then go back in.
I actually think that makes sense, if you have vehicles in a flattened vehicle bay, you don't have vehicles, but the optics of such a thing to the populace don't look good when all these other states are beating the LA national guard to the punch.

To Blackwater? It's now called Academi and is part of Constellis, a corporate conglomerate Security umbrella that also owns Triple Canopy, Centerra Group, Olive Group, TDI, AMK9, Omniplex, and a few others. I've worked for them in the past.
Erik does public speaking stuff, but also has a stake in Frontier Resource Group and Frontier Services Group, a Logistics and Security conglomerate that specializes in the energy and mineral industries, and is involved with Unplugged, a communications platform, he also owns/ runs Blackwater Worldwide, that offshoot company makes ammo and firearms and firearm components.
