Shawn’s brand is too vague for him to be spend a dedicated amount of time to one type of content. He’s stretched too thin and not talented enough to compensate for biting off more than he can chew. Apparent when you consider how unstimulating his questions are and how his guests lead the conversation and therefore the narrative; true or otherwise. Unfortunately the mediocrity of these interviews probably won’t improve into anything substantial. A jack of all trades and a master of none is better than a master of one. But in this case Shawn and his team are neither.
Do you honestly think he did any of those things “Rogue”? He didn’t do anything covertly,without the US governments knowledge,or that wasn’t specifically ordered by the US. I dont think you understand that post WW2, the US military is just a modified mercenary force.
In fact, I think one of the more honorable professions a man can do is be a mercenary because it's honest.
What I mean is, when I was in the military, I was forced to participate in nonsensical bureaucracy that took me away from my actual job in order to appease my command who were all concerned with saving their careers.
A mercenary is a mercenary is a mercenary.
You'll never see mercs passing out soccer balls and candy to butter up the local population. If anything, they'll deal with the locals organically and not in these disconnected socially autistic situations that the Pentagon and Washington puts our guys in.
Mercenaries also have wiggle room to do what has to be done.
No, I'm not advocating war crimes, however, there's so many hypotheticals and grey areas to warfare that you cannot fight a war like the US government and the EU fight wars. You have to do things dirty at times because it's a war. There's no such thing as an "honorable" war. Only civilians who grew up on Apple Pie Americana think that you can be people's friends and get them to do what you want by giving them trinkets and McDonald's while killing their relatives (like in the Middle East).
Mercs, who are these days prior military themselves, understand there is no breaking bread in hostile lands and they will actively take measures to ensure everyone around knows they arent to be fucked with.

This guy has fascinated and terrified me for years. In my opinion he is in total control of one of, if not the largest, flagless armies.
