- All good things come to an end, and that includes our ownership of the F56 Mini Cooper S, a car loved by all here at Evolve.
With development complete and space at a premium, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided our time with the car is over, so that something new can take its place.
This car seriously impressed us with how fun it was to drive, and how easy it was to eat miles when travelling.

I saw your wavetrac video and I ordered one for my 2008 clubman s! I installed it last week and let me tell you, everything you said in your video was spot on!! The car is sooooo good now!! It just begs to go exactly where you aim it!
Great little pocket rocket!! Shame to see you get rid of it , your right about the lsd I fitted the quaife lsd to my M135i made a world of difference 👍 looking forward to the next project.

The Giulietta QV is a cracking little car. The 1750cc turbo is a sweet engine too. They can produce over 300bhp without much effort being that they have forged internals. Plus brembos, a decent chassis and that gorgeous Italian shell

btw, do you still remember the size of the wheels and tires? i am interested buying MAM B2 8x18" would they fit the car? (mine is f56 cooper)

Agree Michelin pilot 4s are great tyres. Currently running on my 2014 s3. My rs3 saloon has the oem Pirelli tyres and they are garbage

I am curious about the part where you talk about tyres that come from the factory.
What do you think about Dunlop SportMaxx RT2?
I run them currently on my A3 8V (2.0 TDI, 184 HP), but I might replace them if there are much better options out there, for similar pricing...

We pretty much just go straight for the Michelin option, so PS4S on most and PS4 on this as they don’t offer a 4S.
Assume from the budget you're thinking non-BMW.. In which case, you can pick up a Yaris GRMN for a tad under £20k on AT right now. Rare, potential for mega power to weight and presumably plenty tune-able with some R&D!
We’re thinking used BMW for sure. One day we may stray from them but for now we’ll stick to what we know 😛
Hi , do you have any knowledge If the R56 turbo and manifold would fit on the non turbo R56 1600 engine? Or would you rather go manifold and GT35 on that for a project or would that cause limp modes?

Next project car: BMW 235i, M240i, o even a 230i with the B48 engine? On the other hand, it would be great to see the new Toyota Supra , since it's has a lot of BMW hardware.

Supra is on the way for Eventuri project car but a M140i is a good shout to replace the MINI. They are great value at the moment and very tuneable.
Loving the consistent uploads. Maybe an s1 would be a good shout for next project car. And also when is the next discount code for a remap coming? The 335d needs more power

A few questions from a F56 S owner looking to tweet a little:
Did you change intercooler for larger unit (if not why)
Flashing ECU, is it visible if serviced by mini? Or would it need to be flashed back and reloaded for servicing.
How bad is the torque steer .... is it still usable / fun or is the new diff a must

We didn't get around to changing the intercooler. For road use the stock one was ok at this power level. If we did more track work would have been good to do it. If we still have the car in a few weeks we may put one on just to see what it does. Torque steer is large but managable BUT the diff makes this car.

I wonder can F56 cooper s LCI could going stage 1. because of the limit of the gearbox had changed to 7dct300, the maximum of torque was limited under 300nm. Is there any solutions work out?

Not bad, 13.6 secs to quarter mile, but on a track is where it would excel. Those wheels are awesome.
Yes it’s a shame we didn’t get to take it on a track day but the timing just never worked out. Still an absolute hoot to take for a good B road blast though.

We did not no, the ECU can adapt for the extra cold air it is getting.
What coilers did you use? Does the intake pipe get changed or just put in the Eventuri? What size are the tires? Thank You. Car looks GREAT!!

We’re a similar age you and I so you must have a soft spot for the e36 and cross with a modern engine if I had your means i would build a v8 or v10 as a keeper
I like the E36 M3 but there are other cars I would buy before it :-)
On a B road I prefer our MCS over my M2. Do mull a LSD for it like I did on my E82 135i. My 135i was better on a B road than my M2.

Did you install spacers on the car?
My F56 Cooper S is wearing original 18" JCW wheels, 25mm Eibach lowering springs, the rear wheels sit really far "under" the car and it doesn't look that good... I'm considering installing Trak+ 20mm in the rear and 15mm in the front.
What do you think?
Not spacers, the wheels are custom made in our chosen offset.

We bought an E39 M5 yes, the car we originally developed our supercharger kit for. It will have a few things done to it but we aren’t considering it a project car, more a piece of history.
Wicked will we still see it on the channel?

I want to do so much to my 210. Also, how did you get a set of PS4s in 18"? They're 19" and above only.
Mistake on our part, all our other cars run PS4S, this has the regular PS4, still a brilliant tyre.
What are your thoughts on the Nitron R1 coilover kit with camber plates?
Do not have any experience with that kit

I’m interested in your stage 1 map for my coooer S but worried my intercooler is not big enough since I believe Jcw intercooler is larger than coooer s and that develops less power than your stage 1 map . I sent you an e mail to sales earlier this evening . Cheers .

In the USA, about what would you expect to pay to have that diff installed to a 2017 JCW?
We charge £2000 all in to supply and fit the Wavetrac
@@EvolveAutomotive I have only seen one option for the automatic transmission. Any thought on a LSD for this same model/year but automatic? Thinking of going with stage one and then intake but don’t know if torque steer is that bad. Thus far, the mini has been a great daily driver.
I installed my own....it's not difficult just time consuming.

Will most likely be less than 10 years old. Realistically needs to have development purposes. Some purely fun projects may happen in the future, we all have many builds we’d love to do with more classic BMWs!

How much are you selling it for
I have a question if anyone is willing to answer it, why do European roads look so narrow? Is it the camera views or are they actually not that wide, the majority of videos I see that are in Europe(mostly British countries) look like the roads are very skinny, looks stressful to drive so precise :)
By comparison our roads are quite narrow, don’t find it stressful at all, must mean we’re better drivers 😉

can an automatic F56S be up to 300 horsepower and keep stable?
We have found the gearbox needs to be protected.

No clutch issues at that power?
None at all, but this is still quite low miles. If it’s a worry for example on a higher mileage car we can adjust the tune accordingly.
Evolve Automotive what would you consider to be higher mileage? 50,000km and above? Or 100,000km and above?
I'm confused, who's going to buy a stock mini. Why take off the Mods?
Modified cars usually take longer to sell, we’re offering it as is for a few weeks but will then start to return to standard as a Stage 1 car with the paintwork done is much more desire-able than its current spec to most people.
I want your stage 1 map how many settings does it have can I have full power and full power with pops bangs . Also can I have mid mode as not full power but stock sports mode . Thanks
I would never buy a used modified car.
Usually not the greatest since they are driven hard.
Not sure how much they're worth where you're at but an E63 M6 or E60 M5 if possible. I just want to know what to do with my m6 🤣

Think that is out of the budget but a good car.
A45 or A35 sir.. Go for merc. Some even push that engine up to 500-600whp.
It won't be a Mercdes yet. Maybe in the future.

6:08 Sad to say but the post 2017 Mini Cooper S has lost all it's personality. No over run, so quiet from factory that the manual is almost impossible to drive and if it you get a post 2022, it's even quieter and doesn't even come with a manual and don't even get me started on the vegan option cars.

Not everyone can afford AMG/M sport cars.
That is the aim with the budget but it will still likely be a hotter model as it makes sense for tuning etc.
