      @@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 John I have a question for you about a tractor hydraulic pump, 4020 steering, it will all of a sudden wander one way then when you steer it back it darts right back then steer it back it darts back the other way. I've never had any of my tractor do this yet this is the first one

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754  Před 2 lety +1

      Actually hit on upcoming video.
      Darting steering would be pistons up in front axle or meter valve.
      Behind right grill screen there is two hydraulic lines, cap them on the top half, then you should only get about a 1/4 of a turn on the steering wheel and it should get solid,
      With the lower half of the lines capped you can lift front axle off ground and should not be able to turn wheels.

    Yeah when you force them back together and the farmer is like my pto runs all the time why is that? Lol or they bend that little pump drive shaft not knowing what it is. great video right in my wheel house

  • @peewee.3138
    @peewee.3138 Před 2 lety +4

    That new shop is so nice and bright! Is the right axle bent? There seemed to be quite a bit more of a gap between the duals at the top than the bottom. Also, One Lonely Farmer gave you a really good shout out on Ag Talk in the Raw yesterday.

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754  Před 2 lety +2

      The wheels run pretty true when you drive it. But I will take a look at that. There are the wedge bolts between the cast Center in the steel rim that if you tighten them wrong you can really make a wheel actually lean a little bit
      I saw that shout-out that was pretty cool

  • @jaysonaakre6074

    Super cool video. You make it look easy. How would you determine if the rest of the tractor is healthy after pulling so many extra HP through it?

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754  Před 2 lety +3

      That trans and rear end are heavy. Could there be a little extra wear-and-tear problem so. But nothing I would lose sleep over

      @@frankfarms83 I get all these fun ideas . One was this fall was to the Molly Hatchet Flirtin With Disaster song. I was going to have the combine doing soybeans and then drop some guards and sickles on the truck and then more combine action than more parts dropping on the truck. Each time I would drop Parts on the truck it would be more than the previous time and then towards the end I was going to drop one of the rear tires that popped onto the truck bed
