my partner and i have decided to buy a puppy rottie and were picking him up this weekend. i have all his things ready for him and ive been watching all your videos for over a month because theyre sort but to the point. youve helped us learn a lot!
I’ve owned Rottweiler for over 30 years and I’ve always crate trained my dogs, when I’m not home their in the crates and also sleep in their crates. To me I feel them being safe in the crate when I’m not home and never had a problem
your videos are amazing man. been watching them for a year now and just got my puppy, her name is rose, a german Rottweiler. your guidance has been beyond helpful and one of the main reasons i was able to get this pup. please dont stop with the videos, even if there are not a lot of comments every person who watches these videos appreciate it and learn so much!!
Thanks so much for watching Edgar!! It's great to hear our videos helped you settle on a breed and ended up meaning your felt ready to bring Rose into your pack! Don't worry, we're not going anywhere ✌🏼
Great video. I’ve always done this with dogs. You can’t give them full reign of the house straight away. It’s an animal at the end of the day. 👊🏼🚨👊🏼🚨👊🏼
Jesus its 5 minutes and his still going without answering the question. Cmon man life is precious dont be an online recipe where u need to read a book before getting to a recipe. Ok took him 7 minutes: the answer is not in ur bed
I'm 15 and my parents just got a little pup for the first 2 or 3 days we did the though luck and now she sleeps on my bed is that good if the plan is for us (me and the puppy) to have a strong connection.
How long do you find your dog’s have taken for you to feel you can trust them? I know all dogs are different but how many months before you gave them room freedom? Would love to hear.
how do you find this flows with your puppy crate video where you mention not locking the puppy in for a few days at least until that positive attitude can be introduced ?
Awesome video thank you! So adding to the conversation what would your recommendations be if you wanted your rottie to be an outside dog from the very beginning?
Yep. Don’t get a Rottweiler. They are dogs that need their humans. They want to work with their humans. They thrive on the leadership of their humans. Left to their own devices, they will likely become difficult to deal with if not outright aggressive. And while they are protective, if you need security get a security system. Or a professionally trained and certified protection dog. Which should set you back anywhere from $20,,000 and up. If you want an outside dog, get. Great Pyrenees or similar dog.
I wouldn’t recommend letting them handle it solo. These dogs are extremely powerful and have explosive strength. Im almost 29 I have a 8 year old male rottie that’s right in the middle of the weight range for males (just under 110 pounds) so by no means a massive rottie but if he gets worked up or in a confrontation of any sort it takes almost everything I have anchoring myself down to keep him under control. A teenager would most likely be going for a hell of a ride and not a very nice one if one of these animals really wants to pull. After all they were made to pull large carts of butchered meat. What’s heavier hundreds of pounds of beef on a wooden cart. Or maybe 100 pound teenager?
I know this question has nothing to do with this video but I was wondering how old should a rottweiler be before u breed her? I'm asking cause a friend of mine dog just had her first litter but they all died but 1 the dog is 9 months old
That’s WAYYY too the young female needs to be fully developed. The vet recommended at least 2 years. That’s very harmful to the young mother and also lends to over breeding and weak bloodlines and health issues.

My pitbull has always slept as close to me as possible in my bed while in its own bed
Where? On the couch!🤣 Or on the floor at my feet.
Hell all my dogs end up in my bed .😆😆 my Rottweiler is laying next to me as I type and the cat is sleeping on him.

I'm no expert but from what I've read breeding under 2 years can be harmful to the mothers long term health .
Ok ty dangerous liberty
