I'm new to this channel so hello to everybody. I wanted to add one common plant to your list even though it's not a food item. The peony flowering plant. One peddle put my 110 pound Rottweiler on deaths door for 8 days. I had to feed him Gatorade/water mix and food using a 3oz syringe every 2 hours For 8 days. Needless to say that plant is gone now
I don't have a dog yet but I am greatful for the fence gate seperating the area with our rubarb and grape plants from the rest of the yard. I wouldn't feed those things to a dog anyway but I didn't know how toxic they can be for them.
As a kid my Grandfather used to allow his dog a few squares of chocolate and a saucer of tea all the time. The dog lived to 16 so it didn't do him any harm. I use Cheddar cheese as a reward during training too. I'm not suggesting it's ok to give such things to a dog but just goes to show
Not saying that the information in this video isn't true, but for grapes specifically, my brothers dog is now 2 years old, going on 3 and has eaten grapes when the kids drop them since he was a puppy. Maybe he's immuned now or something but yea, he's a very healthy dog to this day.
Not every dog will be effected by the same things. Every "body" and immune system is different. The main concern would be if the dog was ingesting these foods in large quantities. One grape can pass to be ok but a whole bushel of grapes is cause for concern.
Wait I was watching another channels video and I seen them put minced garlic in their dogs food. Is minced garlic bad also? I’m getting a rotty soon and I’m trying to learn all of the do’s and don’ts
I know many dogs that ate A LOT of grapes without any consequences. Beside that, no one knows what compound in the grapes is poisonous, so this should be elucidated in the future.
Why do people put garlic in there dogs raw food then? I literally see them put them in the food for a natural deworming agent. I’m so confused now. My pit bull used to love grapes 😂 never had a problem with them
Because they're stupid, I'm not going to sugar coat it, they're morons. Garlic is toxic to dogs, that's an established and well known fact and not up for discussion. Of course we're also talking about people using garlic as a dewormer so they're probably not too bright to begin with.
sup big man i really want a rottie i am 16 do u know any plces where i can go to learn how to train big dogs so i will become the alpha male if i get a rottweiler
i dont know about places but i do know you must be firm these dogs can be very hard headed at times. Must be a leader to the point where youre dog looks to you for what to do next or it can be a pain when a rottie wants to go left but youre saying right. I have a female rottie thats 9 months tomorrow almost 90 pounds and shes very strong and very energetic. This is the first dog ive ever owned but i had a little practice with my parents american bulldog, Rotts are the best!
@@arnettthayer5314 thanls man would love to get one but will hold off 4 a while. i'll look at getting a jack russell terrier but will be getting a rottie in the future 4 sure!

Right? I’m confused about this also. It’s a common ingredient in some dog foods as well as used as a deworming agent
It’s avocado skin and seed. The meat of the avocado have always been safe.
Garlic? Really? Why is it so commonly included as an ingredient in dog food?
It seems to depend who you speak to. Some say no, some say a small pinch is ok and wards off fleas. It seems like a minefield to be honest!

poisoned food, well also on the floor outside! baits with rat poison for example. how do you teach your dogs not to eat anything outside?
Hog Wash.
