Graham being transformed into redeye is why
    1. The cry it makes before ha’annit approaches sounds like a human voice wailing in pain
    2. Ha’annit cannot read the heart of redeye, since he is a transformed man and not a beast.

yea but i cant really defend this game. they ruined a perfectly good game by making it too grindy. anyone who says they shouldnt of made it less grindy is a idiot. its not a arguement. its not noobs asking for a game to be easy. grinding has nothing to do with skill based. grinding has to do with just wasting peoples f***** time. when compared to other rpgs this is more grindy then 95% of other rpgs out there. its ridiculous and stupid. so most people will never see the end of the game. well atleast the end of all stories.

@@WM-mu8ep What level would you say is needed to be able to fight the final boss comfortably? 60, maybe 70? Because that's what a few different places around the web say, and I reached 70 with Tressa (my starting character) easily, and all the others except Ha'anit and Primrose are at least 66. Ha and Prim are both closer to 62, just because I didn't start their quests until after I'd already done Tressa's third chapter. And I've done literally no grinding. Instead, I just _walk_ between areas, instead of using fast travel, and my levels have come naturally.
Rather than needing to be "less grindy," I think the better thing to say is that the level-ups should be more balanced in their gains. Levels 17-20 give more HP per level than any other level-up, from the data graphs I've seen, and _that_ doesn't seem right to me.

Well, with all my characters in their 70's and with the best equipment, at 160 hours into the game, I was unable to beat Galdera. Probably tried about 20 times. I would say, you'll want to have all skills learned for every character at least and probably be at 80+. I am currently grinding to 99 before trying again and it is taking a loooooong time. I will destroy Galdera however. Nothing will stand in my way!!

Hiding all of this behind layers of side-quests and then having the giant spike in difficulty made this pretty obscured. It's because the characters all needed to have an identical 4 act structure to their stories for some reason. Alfred Hornburg (the king Erhardt killed) is seen younger and retrieving the book "From the Far Reaches of Hell" from Solistia to bring back to his country of Orsterra. He first opens the gate of Finnis which is Galdera's first attempt at returning before being pushed back by the travelers of OT2 (confirming OT2 takes place before OT1). Vide is also thrown in the mix in OT2 and you see the fall of Aelfric when fighting Vide.

It's more incidental based from what I gathered.
      >Obsidian was a group that Lyblac propped up therefore the group was actively helping Lyblac in her pursuits in opening the Gates of Finis and revive Galdera. Case in point Mattias contacting Obsidian for help with his exploits and Esmeralda also being part of the Obsidian and knew of Graham Crossford diaries and had intended to use for some reason - possibly looking for clues regarding the Gates of Finis, or most likely the location of his son.
      >Obsidian attempted to take root in Noblecourt but Geoffrey Azelhart opposed them, and the more Obsidian attempted to meddle the more Azelhart looked into them to the point he discovered the Gates of Finis through them - making it more apparent that the Obsidian had information of the Gate and more likely were still actively helping Lyblac with her schemes whether knowing her true intentions or not.
      >When the Obsidian found out that Geoffrey knew he became an even more liability that they needed to stop ergo the assassination.
Basically, after making sure that all the pieces would fall into place, Lyblac only needed the blood of Odin Crossford but since she didn't know who exactly was the son of Graham she needed time. Within that time she needed to keep the information about the Gate and her scheme to remain a secret lest the Knights of Ardent and the Church of the Sacred Flame came barreling down. So when someone as notable and powerful as Geoffrey Azelhart found out about the Gates of Finis, it would only be a matter of time before he discovered her entire scheme and possibly alert the Knights, the Church, and any other Noble Houses or territories like House Ravus or Marsalim to help stop the plot and even look for Graham Crossford's son themselves and keep him safe.

Considering there are shrines and churches dedicated to them even with the 13th god imprisoned (and later effectively destroyed, or at least his material foot hold in the mortal world), they weren't intended to simply abandon their creation alone in the woods to be eaten by wild animals after giving birth to it.

@sonic 1995 so you like it when a game babies you instead? Nah thanks, I have a brain I can use myself, I don‘t need someone else to force every little piece of info down my throat, connecting dots myself is way better 🙄😑

This is wonderful. It just annoys me the way you come across each character you get on your team. You walk up to them and they’re always like “I was just on my way to do something real important. You wanna join me?” I feel like just that introduction could have been re-written for each of them to drive home the idea of fate working behind the scenes

Tressa’s entire story line was horrible. The only thing tying her to the others was a book and that part was still very ambiguous. I just really disliked her story compared to the others. It was like playing Ophelia’s chapter 2, 4 times over. Everyone else’s story had either great or satisfying payoffs but that one makes me want to skip it every play through.

The connection is pretty cool though, Esmeralda came to take Graham's Notebook because of the possibility of finding information on the Gate of Finis. I also liked the Chapter with Leon's backstory and the one where Tressa freed the mine workers from the influence of Morlok.

Came here to spoil the story since I've already put 50 hours into this game and I am really just tired of it. It's a boring chore of a game, but I do want to see what happens.
