seriously am sorry for what happened to her, but if you have been getting abused like this, when you have to leave dont show, dont ask for permission to leave dont pack everything and sit there and wait, just go....take the kids ...anything just go, so many stories we hear of people who waited, who in-between arguments said they are leaving the abuser, and guess what, they got gunned downed before they can even pack.
when your son told you he was being abused, going to ask your husband to kindly let him take his things was you again putting him amd yourself in a risky position, this habit of being polite and submissive even after you left, had to stop the first time he laid hands on you...African women stooopp if he beats you, he looses all rights and respect, he does not have to validate anything anymore for you, just go....before it elavates to murder. go quietly and stay away

Women go through alot in marriages, my advice is never stay in abusive marriages.
Marriage is challenging for both men and women..... you need serious counseling before you go in .......and you must try everything to make it work. You only leave under two conditions (1)cheating if you can't forgive (2) your life is at risk
