  • When Esther Thuku left Kenya for Saudi Arabia, she wanted a better life for her four children. However, her husband was totally against it and told her she could also make it in Kenya but Esther was convinced that she would save more in Saudi and invest back home
    However, that is unfortunately not the case. So what exactly happened?

    I learnt so much from the husband in this story. He is very wise and grounded spiritually. If only the world will adopt a patient mindset. I cannot help but wonder though, what about the cousins and friends from the wife's village in Kenya who were working in Saudi? Did they see or hear anything between the time she last spoke to her sister in law and her death? What about the Police in the area she died? Can her family contact homicide and file a report there?

    I am a Southern African I worked as a teacher in Saudi Arabia. I hardly or never experienced any hostility out of the ordinary. Though I met a lot of East, West and Central Africans there working particularly as Maids, I hardly had contact with them. Their bosses would never allow that to happen. I advice against any African who wants to go to Saudi for any unprofessional or lower level job. Go to the Middle East for professional jobs like Nursing, Doctor, Engineer, Teacher etc, never go to do anything unprofessional.
    I blame other countries governments, for making these bizarre agreements to export maids and unprofessional or lower level workers. Lower level workers tend to be abused and never afforded basic rights in or out of the country. Why expose your people to abuse. Nevertheless we thank God some maids came back alive, but with heartbreaking stories. Condolences to the family for their loved one.

      @@sifisojele6828 unfortunately maids are disrespected in and out of our countries and the world over. I don't think we have a moral high ground to look at Arabs as the worst. Kenya, Nigeria, Zimbabwe have rife cases of maid abuse some which have been shared on this channel. Even the name "maid", is used in those countries. You know very well here in SA we use "helper". Yes, Arabs abuse and overwork their maids, there are no laws to govern and guide employers. Some they work almost 24hrs in a day as long as the boss is not sleeping they have to be awake and Arabs dont sleep. If the boss is awake, the maid will be awake.

      @@ciirunderitu2528 very sad indeed. These agreements they maid are really bizarre. I know very well that SA government excluded lower level jobs when making agreements with the Middle Eastern counties. We can only export professionals. I think, each country should demand proper regulation of the industry so as to protect their citizens from abuse. In most Arabs minds, slavery is normalcy therefore see nothing wrong with abusing maids.

    In this case it is so clear that she, Esther, would have been blessed had she submitted to her husband's decision. In her situation and at her age I probably would have done the same thing, but it would not have been the fault of the Word of God. I would have had to have disobeyed the Word of God in that instance. I am not saying a wife should always submit to a husband who beats her, etc., but when a godly man makes a decision I do believe the Word of God instructs us to submit to his decision. I am old now and it has taken me nearly a lifetime to learn the importance of obedience: FIRST to God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit and His Word. It is a blessing of the greatest love imaginable that we can then find safety in His arms, no matter what transpires in this world still (but only temporarily) run by the Adversary of all of mankind.

    • @WholeBibleBelieverWoman
      @WholeBibleBelieverWoman Před 2 lety +2

      @@humanhomesolutions9782 Unfortunately I did not learn to be God-fearing until I became quite old. But at least now that I study the Bible and finally understand so many things I did not understand before I can try to help others understand. You CAN get a wife that is God-fearing. You must pray to God to show you who you must marry, and she must be already a follower of Christ Jesus. Dating is NOT necessary. God's will and blessing is what is necessary! Especially because today -- all over the world -- even the eyes of Christians have been darkened, because they have not developed a relationship with Jesus that includes studying the Bible for themselves (rather than just listening to a pastor). So sad to say, all too many pastors are no longer men of God, and even if they are we must trust in God first, in Christ Jesus first, so that when a pastor or church shows itself to be disobedient to God in any way you can clearly see and is not willing to repent and obey, it is important to leave that church. The TRUE church of God is the body of his true followers. We must never forget that many are called but FEW are chosen and NARROW is the path. Christ Jesus told us this Himself, and He also warned us that even those who have cast out devils using His name and who have healed using His name will NOT be allowed into the Kingdom of God. Jesus Himself told us this! It is not because they cast out devils and healed. Those are not bad things. The REASON He will say "I never knew you" will be because you did not OBEY Him. He said those people who expect to get in from their works alone (such as casting out devils and healing) did not do the most important thing, which was to OBEY God's commands. We are born with sin nature and we always want to do what WE want to do. We must learn not to say, "God knows my heart." Rather, we must learn to say, "I want to know God's heart"! I do not know how it is in Kenya or Uganda, places I have never been, but in the U.S. I have not found even one church I can support, because different churches have compromised themselves in different ways. (I am certain there MUST be a few good ones, but they are few and far between, and for most of us it is necessary to have "home church" and Bible studies, etc. so that we do not forsake assembly with other believers). May God bless you.
