Your mom saved your life. Some people have no idea what they're getting themselves into when they: try to conceive, pregnant and breastfeeding. Its not all fun and rainbows. You literally walk a fine line between life and death to bring life into this world. I'm 34 and expecting my first baby. I've prepared my whole life for this moment. I'm constantly reading and researching everything. It amazes me how so many are clueless. I'm glad you and your baby are ok!

Congrats on your first baby. I understand what you’re are saying but…..some ppl are just a tad bit afraid of the clues. For an example, on my first baby, I researched vaginal births on days in. I asked mothers about their births, watched the hospital bag vids, recovery vids, best clothes 4me and items to get baby and what to pack hubby, whole 9. NO ONE in my immediate family or circle of friends needed a c section so I thought I wouldn’t. I saw one video on it but when they took that scalpel through the first layer of skin, I was like nope! This ain’t for me. Only to find out that I would need an emergency C SEC. So I wasent completely clueless, but I was clueless to the fact that it would happen to me. A nurse over medicated me (giving me what she wanted me to have before I gave consent). Literally dumped it in my IV. Next thing I know, my babies heart rate was in the 80s. So you just never know someone’s situation. But testimonies like the one this woman gave helps others to look out for the clues. God bless your labor, delivery and recovery. Congrats again Mama!

Thank you so much for sharing your story…I had preeclampsia with my first born child and she’s now 14. I’m pregnant again and so excited only 15 weeks along. My blood pressure was over 140/89 yesterday evening - so I took aspirin and took it again when I woke up and took it again it was 128/79 which was a little alarming but not bad. So far I’m doing okay today. I’m just praying I don’t have the baby early this time as I had my first child at 27.5 weeks. She was 2 pounds and 9 ounces - so scary 😦- I totally feel your pain! Back in 2008 when I had mg daughter it wasn’t very many people willing to tell their story. You’re an inspiration-thanks again for sharing - now I don’t feel so alone- I was a total basket case the entire time she was in the NICU-2 months - but she didn’t hand any surgeries - she doing great today!!! 💕

I went through un diagnosed preeclampsia in my twin pregnancy, my whole body also swelled, it hurt to walk, my doctors kept telling me it was normal, I then went into preterm labour at 36 weeks I’m very thankful it wasn’t earlier then that, but my labour progressed fast, I was at a 9 after being rushed to hospital via ambulance, I had them within 2 hours of my water breaking at home, I was stuck in the hospital bed on mag drip and heart meds, while my babies were in nicu, I was told after birth by the amazing obgyn that delivered me at the hospital that I had severe preeclampsia and that my life was at risk and I couldent see my babies, the most I had was a moment when they were born, you are so strong and I’m forever greatful for the strong women such as yourself that we have in this world, your a warrior and don’t forget it!!!

I had magnesium drip 3-4 times during my pregnancy. It was awful!!! I mean the last time was while having contractions 1-2 minutes apart and they were increasing…I was so out of it I couldn’t even think straight but the nurses couldn’t seem to track my contractions and it wasn’t til the doctor came in to check my cervix that they were like “oh wow - 5cm dilated already!” So I went for an emergency c-section.

I just don’t really understand this. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant with baby #3, this time through IVF. I had preeclampsia with both of my previous pregnancies and I have it now. I get weekly labs, blood pressure medication, and weekly 24 hour urine jugs. I made it to 38 weeks with my oldest and 37 weeks with my youngest. I’ve gained tons of weight, lots of swelling in my feet and ankles. I’ve been admitted to labor and delivery twice so far with insanely high blood pressure readings, but they just give me extra medication and sent me on my way. They’ve never once said “you aren’t leaving until you have this baby”. Maybe you had better doctors then I do 🤷‍♀️

I had severe preeclampsia! Started developing symptoms at 18 weeks. Blood pressure was 210 over 109 by 22 weeks. I was bedrest at that point trying to control blood pressure with medication. By 25 weeks they couldn’t control it anymore and my liver and kidneys started to shut down so we had to do an emergency c section.
Glad your babies are doing good!

I had my kids in 2000 and 2003. Glad I was ignorant to how seriously in danger I was! I was 31 with my first and 33 with second. Bed rest at 22 weeks with both. Lay on my left side as much as possible. I went to doctor twice a week for tests. No meds were given to me. They said bp meds wouldn’t do anything. I had to have my baby to stop the increasing blood pressure. My kids were born 1 month early. I got the mag. It made me hot for a minute and then it didn’t brother me. I did hemorrhage after having my son. Like 4 hours later after he was born. The first time my bp measured high, I did spend the night in the hospital with each. They said no more babies. So did my Mom. I wanted 3 or 4 but I’m just glad we are all here. All safe and healthy. They were just little when they were born. 4 lbs. I never felt scared for my life really. I knew I could have a stroke or worse. I just believed everything would be fine.
Ladies with preeclampsia now. Lay on left side. It keeps your pressure down a bunch. Take your pressure while sitting up. Then lay on left side and take it. It should be much, much lower.

@@aliciagabriel23 that is not serious. Her number on the top was 1 point over and they literally can’t do anything until your numbers reach 160/110 or you have more symptoms of preeclampsia like through lab work and even that wouldn’t be an emergency and can be done just after scheduling an appointment. So it would need to be monitored and watched but I wouldn’t say that’s super serious with just that

@@queenbanga13 hello! Sorry, I just saw this.
Well.. I was 22 when I had my daughter with preeclampsia. The preeclampsia made me go up to 223 pds.. Long story short i was on blood pressure meds from 4 days after delivery until my daughter was 2 1/2 yrs old. It took me little over 2 yrs to go back to normal weight. I had problems with depression afterwards etc. So I went off blood pressure pills. I got pregnant again 9 yrs later. My pressure was awesome n always monitored. My pressure only got high AFTER DELIVERY this time.
My son is 14 now and my pressure JUST went high. We think it's from recent 15 of weight gain ..but could be because I had preeclampsia.
So your doctors will keep tabs on it. Please don't be afraid like I was. My preeclampsia made me have "white coat syndrome " my pressure went HIGH anytime I had it taken because of my preeclampsia experience. It was very scary..but so manageable with a good doctor. My second pregnancy was awesome!
It depends..pretty good chance u will have high blood pressure later in life. Probably in your 40's. Just try n stay healthy.

How high- I’m currently - 11.5 weeks- I always suffered from hbp- but it only goes down to like 138/75 it’s highest has been 178/100 when I’m nervous or scared. The stress of this is making pregnancy ruff for me. They are going to put me on medication 💊 this week. I just want lower numbers that stay consistent.

@@ninagarcia5874 having high blood pressure prior to pregnancy is not anything I know about. My pressure shot up suddenly. It had been good until then. Hopefully the medication will help you since this isn’t pregnancy induced high blood pressure. Lay on your left side when you can. It brings pressure down wether pregnant or not. Laying on your left side takes all the pressure off of the organs on your right side which lowers pressure. If you have a bp cuff at home take your pressure and then lay down on your left and take it. It definitely took my numbers way down. You will do great. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
