  • At a protest the night before Donald Trump’s inauguration last year, a woman accused me of “taqiyya” on the street. I didn’t know it at the time, but she was telling me I’m a liar because I’m Muslim.

1 John 4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

When the Nazis came close, the head of the family said to them--Don't be afraid. I will protect you with my life if necessary. They were treated as honored guests all through those years.
(Our friend's father helped them too--teaching them photography. They opened the first photography shop in the country, which did well.)

CrescentsGaslight You got it all wrong brother, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) when going to battle outside of medina he told Ali to be the acting deputy and famously said: "Ali, you to me are like what Harun was to Musa, but there will be no prophet after" that hadith is accepted in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Anyways, if Muhammad (pbuh) appointed a deputy for when he was going to battle and could possible die and also he would've been back in medina within a week or so, so why wouldn't he appoint a successor, and more importantly why wouldn't he have chosen Ali to be his successor if he chose him to be the deputy in medina while he was absent and could possibly have died or seriously injured.

no one can lie about the teaching of any thing you can read and ask and see for your self and use your mind, no one can force you to like or dislike something when you are looking for the truth , Not to hear from this and that their own explanation When they are NOT EVEN MUSLIMS !!!!!
The Prophet said, “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar.”

Quran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie.
Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly.
Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49)
Quran (66:2) - "Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths..."
Quran (40:28) - A man is introduced as a believer, but one who had to "hide his faith" among those who are not believers.
Quran (2:225) - "Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts"
Quran (3:54) - "And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers." The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which literally means 'deceit'. If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30and 10:21)
Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are circumstances when a Muslim may be "compelled" to deceive others for a greater purpose.

Muslim here. From a Muslim country.
Interestingly, I first heard of Taqiyya on internet from the fact that Muslims are accused of it. And I didn't understand it although I did try. Today is the first time, I have understood the word properly.
All my life I was taught how lying is discouraged in Islam. And hence truthfulness is a very important part of my moral values to the extent that, that my classmates in university trusted me when I said something because they knew I don't lie.
One of the most important sayings of the Prophet goes like this:
The Prophet was asked: Can a Muslim be a coward? He said yes. He was then asked can a Muslim be a miser? He said yes. Then he was asked can a Muslim be a liar? He said no.
Meaning lying directly affects your iman (belief). This saying stops me from lying. I never ever thought of lying to a non Muslim when defending my faith.
I am blown away by how people think Muslims lie. All my life I had (and still have) complete belief that lying is very serious and has serious consequences as a Muslim unless my life is threatened.
P.S. This is my first comment on any CZcams video because even when I want to share my point of view so much, I hold myself back because of the bad language and hate on the internet. In real life I love to discuss though but internet scares me. Because for me respect is number 1 thing even when disagreeing.

M Iqbal, to the credit of the muslim world, I would like to share my experience of muslims in my small town in Canada.
We had 2 kinds of black men in my high school. Muslims and non muslims. The non muslims were good friends of mine. We did a lot of drugs, sold drugs, partied, they always were fighting at parties. Really good fights but it was shitty that they fought so much. Also not the brightest cats in school.
The muslim black kids were our sports stars. They tended to have really good grades too and were never involved in the fighting or selling drugs or would get drunk and disorderly. Not drinking makes a huge difference and I could see it in those guys. I am glad to know these guys, they have been good examples in my life. I never ever got the sense that they were lying to me, in fact they had the highest level of integrity in my view.
I'm not saying the muslim world is perfect but I am saying that they get quite a number of things right that we in the west can learn from.
      May peace be with you

it's frustrating that people feel they dismiss what a muslim says by labelling it as 'taqiyya'. even when what they're hearing is good - their judgement is clouded and they go out of their way to convince themselves that when a muslim says something convincing about islam, it simply isn't right because it doesn't fit in with the incorrect information the person has previously been fed by anti-islam advocates. sometimes i feel such people don't deserve to know the beauty in islam, to feel the peace God has planted in so many muslims' hearts. but that's not what my religion teaches me. so i pray God softens their hearts and allows them to see the good in islam.
if anyone's still reading, i'll clear up a few points about 'taqiyyah'.
    1. lying is a sin in islam. any islamic website, islamic book, islamic speech will tell you that. consistently lying is a major sin. look in the quran and you'll see God condemning liars. that must be understood.
    2. lying, as well as other things which normally would be considered sins, is permissibly under certain circumstances. like if you're going to die and the only food available is pork, that pork becomes halal for you to eat. in the same way - if you find yourself in a situation where your religious identity can get you killed, you may lie to save your life. THAT is what 'taqiyyah' refers to in the quran. nothing else.
lastly - i urge everyone to get their information from unbiased sources. and since they rarely exist concerning islam, get your information from both sides. reconcile between them. that is the only way you'll come to an educated opinion - not one shaped by david woods, or other such islamophobes. make your own decisions. have your own opinions. don't regurgitate what other people tell you. education is the most important thing.
    God bless everyone.

a lie is a lie and the only one I know who is the father of Lies is the devil.
God is holy and his perfect and he never lies.

If a grown man can marry a child like Muhammed did and yet he preaches that to do good

Jesus loves you wants to save you

Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The Raafidis are the most ignorant and mendacious of sects, and the furthest removed from any knowledge of the texts or rational evidence. They regard taqiyyah as one of the basic principles of their religion, and they tell lies about Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet’s family), the extent of which is known only to Allah. They even narrated from Ja‘far as-Saadiq that he said: “Taqiyyah is my religion and the religion of my forefathers.” But taqiyyah is one of the signs of hypocrisy; in fact in their case, they say verbally that which is not in their hearts, and this is the essence of hypocrisy.

Taqiyya was also a strategy that was used by specific Muslim sects to ensure their survival because they often existed in environments hostile towards them as they were seen as being deviant/heretical/heterodox in their beliefs and practices. There are also sometimes esoteric, mystical and spiritual connotations to the “occult” (hidden) value of the practice of concealing or outwardly obscuring ideas and identities.

People accuse muslims of taqiyah for one reason and one reason only; that their scriptures preach hate, rape and slavery but they deny it. They're clearly told in their books to hate Christians and Jews from their childhood and yet they deny it in public. The problem is that they're more concerned about protecting the reputation of their religion than in truth. The fact that you don't know the term (taqiyah) doesn't change the fact that it happens. The fact that you live peacefully with your neighbors only makes you a better human being but not a better muslim. If Mohammed is the best example for humanity, you can be sure this world would be worse off for following that example, not better. Most muslims I know are better than Mohammed and that should tell you something about this religion.

As I think I have said before on one of your videos, I think you may be a bit too nice a person to be a 'good' muslim.
Erdogan agrees with me on this one for sure , so I cant really be accused of Islamophobia unless you want to diss the president of Turkey!
As for taqquiya, 'most muslims have never heard of it' is probably true as most muslims seem to be followers rather than self motivators in as much as they are 'born muslim therefore the ARE muslim' and by the time they get to 20 they haven't really had to deal with any other way of thinking as most live in their own isolated communities.
As a child I knew that killing and stealing were wrong (was guilty of the latter in a childhood bout of thieving...) but, I had never read the ten commandments...or even knew they existed but the environment and culture was there to teach me that.
Also, being honest was a strong part of this , with a choice between lying about my thieving and telling the lie , telling the lie was the greater sin. I wont say I never have lied in my life but I do avoid it as much as possible. And I did get SO busted that time!
So, here is the rub, just because a muslim doesn't know the word doesn't mean they don't practice the deed.
If you look at any of the interviews of muslims being asked questions they always obfuscate and evade and distract with a 'whatabout' line.
Amongst all of the faiths , islam's writings is followed literally by far more , well over half , than any other faith.
So, are you REALLY going to spin the 'we don't know about taqqyia (..and kitman..and... The fact you have these deceptions written into your texts , which are followed literally as mentioned before) is disingenuous at the least.
If you think i'm being 'right wing' (Lauren Southern a right winger? you have to be on something that induces paranoia...) then let us consider how well islam goes for both muslims and non muslims when the former are the majority.
Well, Assad's Syria was the only functioning secular country with a majority muslim population ...and look what happened when the islamists took over, mass persecutions, mass murders...a mess basically.
And you REALLY think the Americans ( or us) REALLy want that in their future?
I think you need to consider that you are rather like freezer salesman in the arctic. Your product makes no sense, adds unessacarry costs and forces an existing perfectly adapted population to do the pointless.
I think you are a nice guy but you are using taqqiaya on yourself...which is unfortunate but not really surprising.
PS, is ther anything I have written here that could be called 'right wing'?

I don't get it. If you resist Taqquiya so much and don't agree with it, why call yourself Muslim??
You are unable to defend yourself standing on the Quranic Doctrine. PERIOD.
    👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

      Quran chapter 3 verse 28
Believers should not take disbelievers as guardians instead of the believers-and whoever does so will have nothing to hope for from Allah-unless it is a precaution against their tyranny. And Allah warns you about Himself. And to Allah is the final return.
      Quran chapter 16 verse 106
      Whoever disbelieves in [i.e., denies] Allah after his belief...1 except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;
Taqiyya only applies when faced with risk of religious persecution and lying while hiding your faith to save your own life
One more thing, the overwhelming majority of muslims are also completely unaware of the concept of Taqiyya and before you accuse me of Taqiyya, please prove how im dishonest and then use your Taqiyya card, dont just call Taqiyya when a muslim objects to your argument and then you find a hard time responding, go meet some muslims, trust me when i say this most muslims arent even familiar with the concept of Taqiyyq and i guess i should say one more thing
Who uses deception and lies to their kids about Santa and the Easter Bunny, is that Taqiyya i see

Honestly, I learnt the taqiyya word from non-muslims bigots! It prompted me to research. I've been learning arabic and Islamic studies. That was the first time I heard it. If its true its in our fundementals, we should hv known it right?
