I wish I had been raised in a family that knew cars. I just had this replaced by a mechanic and he charged me $220 in labour, as well as $289 for the part. I paid it and went home to find out how much of a scumbag he'd been. Seeing this let me know just how much, so I posted the bill he invoiced me online to his shop's google review, saying I'm pretty sure he ripped me off. He's been contacting me since and offering me a partial refund. Knowledge is power, thanks for making it easy to understand how dumb I am when I trust auto repair shops.
I own a 2003 volvo v70 2.4 and I am so grateful that for some reason y'all chose to do a myriad of videos for my car specifically. Seriously cannot thank you enough, I've used several of your videos and hope that my current issue will be fixed by cleaning this sensor. I figured changing the battery would fix it like last time but not this time, hope it works!
Thanks! Sometimes CZcams tutorials lack some necessary info. Yours doesn't.

didn't know about that second wire... thanks!
Thanks for the great video, ordered MAF cleaner (instead of going to use normal cleaning stuff) and will hoepfully fix my S60 idle issue

Can you show for a 2006 xc70
ok. gostaria de saber se voce tem o maf da volvo v40 2001.
+laiz marzano We carry that part here: www.1aauto.com/volvo-s40-v40-mass-air-flow-sensor-with-housing-diy-solutions/i/1aeaf00154/1018402/2001
Thank you.
Seems like with all the air that flows through that sensor, a blow dryer is no different and unlikely to hurt it
not phillips... security torx screws on mine.
5 star security screws...not phillips
Yours is a turbo, itâs a specialty head not a torx, Iâm pretty sure itâs a five star with a pin in the middle
@@nicholasbragg8340 They are called Pentalobe torx and they are tamper proof. That's what the pin in the middle is making them tamper proof. volvo does this to force people into the service dept.
@@richardpflieger2049 Pentalobe size TS-25. Originally they were meant to be tamper-resistant (MAF wires are easily damaged & perhaps the small amount of platinum is worth something to thieves), but the bits are readily available online now -- no service dept. visit needed.
Y si cambia el filtro de aire muy feo
How cool lol is that
