HPCC 2022: HP-32S, HP 32SII and DM32 (Włodek Mier-Jędrzejowicz and Michael Steinmann)

HPCC 40th Anniversary Conference, October 22-23, 2022, London, England: Włodek Mier-Jędrzejowicz presents "Tribute Bands and Tribute Calculators", about the HP-32S, HP 32SII and DM32, based on Bob Prosperi's HHC 2022 presentation, followed by Michael Steinmann of SwissMicros elaborating on the DM32.

I can't help but notice the that this presentation of the DM32 was done in 2022, the 50th anniversary of the original HP-35 introduction. With its 4-line display, USB connectivity and other possible enhancements to its core HP 32SII functionality, the DM32 is effectively a very enhanced HP 35s which was was introduced in 2007 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the HP-35. Because of this I will always associate the DM32 with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the HP-35. Thank you SwissMicros.

I've built Alex Garzas HP-41 from parts I had using his online instructions. It works great as an HP-41c. It's quite tricky to build without using the Kit, I would definitely recommend the Kit, I would buy one if shipping and Tax didn't double the cost.

I'd like to see an LCD module, that sits between a conventional (wired) keyboard and PC. Activated by some key combination (Ctrl-Alt-PRTSC).
Followed up with a mini keyboard, where the keycaps have secondary functions - printed on the front side of the keycaps, of course.

From what I've understood, the C47 (formerly known as C43, formerly part of WP43), is almost ready as firmware. There will be keyboard overlays for the DM42.

What I will never understand is why HP stopped making the 15c or the 32s. I don't get it. even after the LE (limited edition)

did you try to read easily one of your 15C program 6 months later 😉 ? maybe this is one reason. I like using the 15C and the DM15L though
