Today is one year that I lost my Dad and being from a rural area in Canada when I turned 19 and was able to go out with my parents, local bands would play this song and my dad and I would dance to it, I learned so much from him, and to anyone who has a good stepparent just remember they chose to be a part of your life even when they don't have to be, and my dad was an amazing man, to me he wasn't a stepparent he was a dad in every sense of the word and I miss him dearly.

I'm not a big country music fan, but there are a few country acts that I actually have gotten into to some degree and Randy is one of them. It's something about his voice that just drew me in.

Ya know I was never too much into country but a few years ago I listened to one of his cd's with this song on it and alot of others and have to compliment him on having one of the most genuine sounding country voices I've ever heard...he was born to sing those tunes....what a beautiful deep soulful voice :-)

I just caught myself tapping my foot to this music - can't help it. We had the good fortune of seeing him in person while stationed at Incirlik AB, Turkey. He gave us a tremendous performance and got a well deserved standing ovation. I love listening to him sing.

One of my favorite cartoon episodes is an episode of the Nicolonian show Hey Arnold. Randy Travis makes an appearance as a country singer. It is quite fun. Also, he was on quite a few episodes of the show Touched by an Angel.
