A tiny bit about myself:
Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my CZcams channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

Hello, my crafty fam! And If you're new to my channel, welcome! I've been through a lot in my life. I have even shared a few of those things with you guys over the years. Because of that, people are always asking me where they can donate to help me out. That truly warms my heart and although I may be struggling, I'm okay. I thank God I have all the basic needs. I have food, clean drinking water, clothes, a roof over my head, and access to medical care if needed but, not everyone has access to these things. I was homeless at one point in my life and I know how critical having these necessities are. If you would like to donate to me, I encourage you to give to someone who's really in need instead. I'm happy to announce that my videos now have donation buttons to charities that I think can help those less fortunate than us. I have checked these charities out myself and have even donated to them. I do NOT receive anything from these donations. It all goes to charity. If you enjoy my content, I hope you consider donating. God bless!

Great tutorial for crackling!! Thank you, Ivelisse!!! 💗💗💗
Hey Kim, I had you in mind too when I made this because you had mentioned having problems with it. Let me know how it goes okay, you are very welcome hun! :)
DIYNoNeedToCry I sure will! I'm wondering about putting in oven to dry? Have you tried that? I think my main trouble is getting my glue/paint thickness right! Thank you for thinking of me! You make the best videos!!
I don't know? I'm scary so I'm not trying that lol but if you do, and it works, let me know and thank you, Kim! Always such a sweetheart! :) xoxo
love the light bottle too!!
Thank you! :)
Your bottles are always a work of artistry. I like them both. I am loving the color scheme on these.
Hey, Taina! Thanks, hun! :)
I have used my bottles in my yard with stakes and the bottle inverted among my plants, trees and bushes so I think that I will be going outside and gather my bottles and paint them like you demonstrated and maybe take them back outside. Thanks
Hello, Deb, these are not waterproof so that might not be a good idea unless you have a sealer that can withstand the weather. :)
Deb Morris you can weather proof it by using a marine top coat, can't remember the name but it's used to protect things from rain.
Love the light up bottle. Your classes are super fun
Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it! :)
I loved this! Two things, the tip about the napkin with the paintbrush to soften the edges and how you explained everything so nicely with the levels of glue etc. No need to apologize because we're all learning... Thank you!
🙏💕🤗
I'm going to try this out with an old, janky photo album I have. As always, you are an inspiration to me! ❤
Hello again! That sounds awesome. I bet that is going to look so GOOD! Thanks for watching and tag me when you finish because I soooo want to see how that turns out! :)
This is so needed.when I was first starting out working with bottles ...I cried all the time, while making mistake after mistake. You showed up and I've been learning something new ever time you teach a video. I watch a few other crafters, but always come back to you.Thank You Again.....Lori...
Hi, Lori! That makes me very happy to know that I am helping you in your projects, it is very humbling. Thank you again, Lori, sending big hugs! XOXO
Excellent descriptions. Very thorough in explaining every step along the way. Thank you.
I have to tell you that you explained everything great. And your voice is easy to listen to. You are confident in your explaining the steps. I did this last year for our fair. I got first place but the video I watched made me have to figure a lot out myself. ronnie m wanted to know where to get the napkins, anywhere like target walmart dollar tree, places like that. Thanks for reminding me how to do this and do it the easy way. Here I go again to the county fair. Thanks!
I'll keep watching and you keep making, sounds like a plan.
Hello 👋 and thank you! Makes me super happy when my video's are helpful! I got my napkins on Etsy but the seller has sold out. If you google Purple rose paper napkins, you'll find them. Or you could go directly to Etsy and put that same thing in that search bar. Have fun at the fair!! 🤗
love both of your bottles
Thank you! :)
I love it. Purple is one of my favorite colors. Amazing work!!! :)
Hi, Silvia!! It's one of mine too, thank you! :)
Hi Iveliese good evening! Would you be able to do a bottle using 3 to 4 of my favorite colors? Such as purple, orange, turquoise, and bright rich pink color.
Hey, sorry... been a little busy but, yes I would love to make something with those colors. Do you have anything in particular in mind? Anything you like? It would help me if I had something to go off of. :)
I love plants especially bamboo plants, orchids, roses, and a flower normally found in Mexico I just don't know the name of the flower. You can usually find those flowers pictured in Mexican restaurants - wall art.
Got it, let me see what I can come up with. Thank you for your request, Silvia. I do them in the order I get them unless I have the materials for another one first. I will put this on my list! :)
Omg so dope I’ve been collecting bottles for months now and I can’t wait to try this designs! Thank you for the video!💜💜

You take your time. No worries and no need to hurry. Have a great weekend! :)
Good morning Silvia, thank you God bless! :) XOXO
They are called chip brushes.
I'm having trouble getting the paint to crackle. I'm using generic white glue, not Elmer's. I put down a layer of glue striaght to the glass for the see-through effect. Then I layer the Deco Art acrylic paint on top of the glue. The paint job looks pretty and mixed, but there really aren;t any crackles. I tried using heat from a hair dryer. I tried using fans for cool air. Any suggestions?
Celtic Art Store Hello, make sure to lay the paint over it lightly and don't keep going over it. Try doing thinner layers of paint then try thicker layers of paint and see what happens. Sometimes it's the paint or it could be the glue. Make sure to put air on it immediately after adding the paint. You want the glue to start drying and crack the paint. Keep trying, you'll get it. It has a little bit of a learning curve but I can assure you it's not hard. I've had tons of people do this method with no problem. Hope you get... happy crafting! 🤗
I will try different techniques. Another video suggested wood glue, which is more tacky. I'm just using a blended painting technique that looks great, but does add a bit more paint than usual. Thanks!
I'm getting better results. Because I am using a bit of paint for the mixed-color effect, I found that adding more glue helps. It also helps to let the glue get a little tacky before adding the paint. I do this with a quick blast of low heat from my blow dryer.
I used your glue crackle technique with success. To make my project washable - I'm coating wine jugs for pirates - I coated the crackle effect and decoupaged pirate decorations with 3 coats of dishwasher-safe Mod Podge. Normally, this medium takes 28 days to cure, but I baked it at 325 degrees F (160 C) for 40 minutes. This cured the Mod Podge, making the jug washable. The crackle effect - acrylic paint on glue - did not melt and the tissue paper pirate decoration did not burn. I believe the trick is to thoroughly coat the bottle to seal it. 3 coats is pretty essential, allowing 2 hours of drying time between coats. I put a freshly coated jug in between 2 fans to dry it - which I also use to make the crackle effect. I'm not going to test these jugs in the dishwasher, but I could hand-wash them with soap and warm water with no problem. It's also important to leave clear glass anywhere that will be in contact with food, so my crackle effect begins about 2" below the top of the bottle which leaves a clear neck. Look for Erin Rado or Lady Anne's Chest on Facebook to see my results. Good luck to anyone who wants to try this out! I'll do wine glasses next.
Again, my apologies for taking so long to answer. I've been so busy trying to work on some things and get back to the channel. I'm so happy you figured it out and shared it with all of use. I have pinned your post so others can see in case they want to know how too as well. Thank you so much!
