    @DagestanderGustaffuson Pƙed rokem +1

    I get what RJ is trying to say here but to be 1000% HONEST and as crazy as this might sound - LeBron James isn’t even a greater scorer than prime D.Wade - if they’re both on a team where they’re both healthy, LeBron will almost always differ to him. Example: 2008 Olympic team, when Wade was healthy and at his peak - he led team USA in scoring while leading all the guards and small forwards in field goal percentage at 67% - In 2011, Wade led the Heat in scoring for the entire post season + NBA Finals with LeBron on his team
    It takes a real basketball brain to see what I see, many casuals won’t be able to understand this, scoring comes more naturally for Wade, that’s why when teams like San Antonio would seal off the paint with Duncan back there and force LeBron to beat them in other ways he’d almost always struggle and shoot lower percentages and would shy away from late game free throws, still does to this day - meanwhile Wade could easily adapt to defenses and take what they give him and if they did the same similar to what Dallas did in 2006 when Wade was just 24, he made them pay in the mid range and relished going to the line, there’s levels to scoring - I’m surprised former players don’t understand this

    I swear, sometimes they just sound like pseudo intellects, and what they're saying is just outright silly if you actually think about it. Totals points simply means you played longer. It's a longevity feat. It doesn't make you the greatest scorer.
    A man who is a mediocre scorer that averages only 13 ppg, but has unreal longevity and plays for like 35 years, still will be a mediocre scorer, just with a godly longevity. He doesn't become the "Greatest scorer we've ever seen!".
    Reggie Miller is not a better scorer than Durant, or Harden just cause he has more total points. He just played longer.
    Nor is Karl Malone a better scorer than Michael Jordan just cause he has more total points. We know this cause they played in the same era and MJ won 10 scoring titles while Malone won zero.
    Just as Vince Carter isn't a better 3pt shooter than Klay or Dame just cause he has more total 3s. It simply means he played longer.
    Just as Mark Jackson isn't a better passer than Magic Johnson just cause he has more total Assists. It simply means he played longer.

    RJ is right. If you will consider debating the G.O.A.T. of Basketball, you will have to put them into categories. It is a team sport, and I think their respective teams should also get some credits for their achievements. Think about this: Jordan is one of the greatest, but he never won anything solo (only his times with Pippen and Coach Phil). Well, Coach Phil won 1 ring without Jordan. The same goes for LBJ and the rest of the other greats. Let us put them into categories. Like you can't say that Jordan is also the best shooter?! An insult to Steph, right? Now, Jordan to me, is the best competitor, the best 1-2 player (Offense and Defense oriented), and the most popular NBA player, globally. But no, he is not the best scorer. That award goes to Kareem (well for now). You can have the best guard, best forward, best center, etc.
    So please, stop romanticizing Jordan too much. He never dominated the 80's. He never beat Magic or Bird during their primes. The unblemished 6-0 feat is amazing, don't get me wrong. But beating a 73-9 team and being down 0-3, then winning it all! That is something entirely remarkable. And don't debate me about saying the basis of GOAT are championships won. Bill Russell has 11, so shouldn't Bill be the GOAT?!? Just saying :-)
