- I frequently use our Sam's Club Plus membership to order staples and have them shipped to the house. It's a huge savings. I've never done the online pickup before because the nearest Sam's Club is over 40 minutes away on a good day without heavy traffic. I decided with soaring grocery prices, it was finally time to do it. My son was going to town anyway so it wouldn't be an out-of-the-way trip. This video will show you what I got in this haul, as well as how I'll store it and what I'll do with it.
In the video, I mention the following:
Restaurant Style Chicken Tenders
• Restaurant Style Chick...
Lemon Chicken Piccata
• Easy Lemon Chicken Pic...
Luxury Bath Towels (only $6.98 each!)

Hi Sara, well I thought this was very interesting especially the differences between our two countries. I have never seen mince beef in a big roll before, and I was fascinated. I loved how you prepped your meat for the freezer I was truly impressed. Yes, I have noticed that grocery prices are going up in Australia as well... it must be a world-wide issue.
I have a black fridge/freezer, and to my surprise I have not seen any fingerprints or marks on it. I would have thought any marks or splashes would show up immediately..., but no!
Have a blessed day in Jesus. 😊❤
Hi Gloria! Yes, I'm sure it's strange to see mince beef (or as we call it, ground beef) in a big roll if you've never seen it before. It is very convenient, though! I reckon grocery prices are going up the whole world over. Wonder how long they will keep climbing!?
I second that on the oversized bath towels from Sam’s! I have them in dark gray.
AREN'T THEY AMAZING!!!??? 😍 🥰 I love them so much!
Very smart lady, thank you, God Bless.
Thank you and God Bless you, too! 🙏
❤❤❤
This old lady has a tip, put your cutting board in a cookie sheet, that way nothing goes on the counter. I did it processing tomatoes, worked well, so I do meat that way too. Drain as much juices out b4 getting into the food saver bags and a cheap bag holder with bags rolled down works. You're absolutely correct chubs have less air, I hate the styrofoam packaging. Styrofoam always has air that's why you see browning of meat after so many days. I also will not buy meat that seems to have a pillow of air, it's got some kind of gas in my opinion. No you're not crazy with rolling pin, that's genius! I usually use my hand to flatten out to make more room in freezer!! Funny, I was just thinking about you yesterday!
Oh, I love that tip! Why have I never thought of that before!? I have one of those half sheet pans that would be ideal for something like this. Thank you for the suggestion! And I'm glad I'm not the only one who's a fan of flattening out their ground beef before putting it in the freezer. I will admit, when I score it with those lines it's hard to break with just my hands, but if I take the whole foodsaver bag and knock the scored line on the corner of my counter it snaps right in two, ready to make burgers. 🍔
Great tips...smart lady!
Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
Love Sam’s Club! As long as we do Scan & Go… I can’t handle the checkout lines there. 😂 Picking up is something we’ve only tried once. We’ll have to try it again. Last time we did pick up I don’t think they had a lot of fresh foods available. But that was years ago.
SAME! It stresses me out to go there with the monstrous shelves and huge carts and people going around like they'r stocking their whole convenience store. But buying online for my pantry items has been great. I'm definitely going to be using online pickup for fresh stuff going forward. It's just too good of a deal not to. Maybe you'll find your store has more fresh stuff in stock where y'all shop now.
I to get pork Linda I slice, vacuum seal and use them to make chicken fried pork cutlets
Very smart! I love fried pork cutlets!
Im only a few minutes into your video and wanted to mention that when foodsavering meat that your suppose to partially freeze it.. I actually didnt know that until last year after having the units for well over 15 yrs.
That is a good point! I have actually read that in the directions for my foodsaver, but no one in my family who uses them has ever done that and I'll be honest with you, my freezer is almost always so packed I just don't have room to partially freeze things until they're all tightly stored in the foodsaver bags. I think that's a step I'm just going to have to skip for the foreseeable future. 😬
@@OldTimeKnowledge I believe that the partial freezing is for liquid items, That is the only time I do it.
@@OldTimeKnowledge ~lol..I have the same problem of having no freezer room..😬🤣
