If they roll a nat 1 but are able to sing Perception Check word for word and ham it up, it automatically becomes a nat 20. But ONLY for that encounter. I wish DMs would insitute a performance based Hail Mary for a very specific Nat 1 that turns it into a Nat 20 upon completion. It can only be used in either a very specific encounter, or once in the entire campaign. Not the session, the entire campaign. It has to have very specific trigger and the player has to be do screwed by that nat 1 that they might die. And when I say once in the entire campaign, I don't mean for each player. It's one Hail Mary for the entire party, and they have to agree on the use of it. Make it almost like a divine intervention thing.

As someone who's been listening since 2016, it's a wild fucken ride.
Very good podcast, bunch of comedians play dungeons and dragons badly, with live music and audience, and a great deal of improv. It's fun for people who don't like d&d (like me) and for people who do

So edan and Tom need no introduction the video is more than sufficient in that
The two people they video with are David Harmon, who has been the DM for the series since the start, and Ben Jenkins who has played all the NPC characters. In season 2 he was away so edan took over, and then Ben returned for the season finale and ever since the two of them have done NPCs together
So this is really cool news that Tom cardy (who did the live music from I think season 5 onwards? Benny Davis from the band the axis of awesome did it before) is getting a bigger role, and edan is taking a leadership position
But it's also kinda sad, that Ben and David are leaving, since they have been so involved for so long
