We at the Southampton Model Railway Society are building a 4mm scale layout of Seaton Junction, I am tasked with building the footbridges using PECO footbridge components and 3D printed spans, This video has been of imence help, Thanks
I can remember this station when it was working in the mid 60s. It was actually quite busy on Summer Saturdays when the holiday camps in Seaton changed occupants. Trains would arrive from London and the Midlands on Platform 2, and passengers would change onto a Western Region branch line DMU train for Colyton, Colyford and Seaton on the curved southbound platform 3. There was a buffet between these two platforms and this got quite busy as people waited for connections. On the far side of the station was a milk depot, with sidings and tank wagons shunted by diesel engines. From Seaton Down Hill, I watched the very last train (a 6 car DMU, I think) leave from Seaton on March 7th 1966. Seaton Junction closed for passengers the same day.

Thank you for sharing so much, really interesting :)
Thank you for this footage. I have spent many a happy hour on that long bridge watching steam trains take a running start up Honiton Incline.
A map would be helpful…where ever was it ?
Seaton Junction is in East Devon
@@GlynJones1 thank you 🙏
