this isn’t a chisme Q&A…this is a in depth with Moe Money! I also grew up with unaffectionate parents and had very poor choices in men because I was lacking that emotional support. Fast forward to now…ended an unhealthy 13 yr relationship and am dating myself. You definitely learn so much about yourself when alone! I honestly love it! My kids are 18 & 14 & I am living MY best life! Much respect to you for not settling & knowing your worth! 💕

Omg me too! 13 years down the drain with my kids father 🤦🏻♀️ I’m ready to heal and eventually meet my husband in a few years. I’ll never date a guy like that again. It’s crazy how it roots from childhood trauma and not being loved correctly as a child. I’m doing my best to turn that around with my kids. 💜🙏🏼 God bless you on your healing journey

Damn Moe I felt when you spoke about the relationship with your mom and dad. My mom treated me badly growing up, she never showed me love. She was abusive with me. I never knew why she acted that way with me. But my pops was the opposite, he literally showed me affection, love, and everything. He cooked for me and did everything for us. I was a daddy’s girl. My dad never yelled at me or hit me. But my mom was something else

Really I always see Latinos hugging and kissing each other all the time. I am half and my mom wasn't loving but my abuela and a few of my Tia's were very loving.

Moe, you really touched me when you started talking about your relationship with your mom, when you were describing the kind of mother she was with you, it really hit me hard because I had that same mother. I had to distance myself from her when I was a teen. Our relationship was toxic. But as I got older I wanted to forgive her because I needed to in order to be a better mom to my own kids especially my daughters. And the same with your dad, my dad and I were the best of friends. Moe, I totally feel you on the part about growing up with a mom who wasn't affectionate towards you. My mom was the same way with my siblings and I. It was tough growing up that way especially because we grew up without a dad. But because of that reason, I'm more affectionate towards my kids as much as I can be. I want them to grow up feeling loved by both parents. Not everyone will understand the way we grew up and that's ok! Keep being the great person you are, you have a big heart. ❤

Girl yes! I didn’t start feeling confident until my 30s. I just had my first baby at 33. I spent most of my 20s and early 30s traveling and partying now I just focus my time being a mom

I always knew there was a reason why you act the way you do towards your mom. I hate how people criticize you for that when y’all come out on the twin’s channel. Mexican moms from back in the day are different than the moms now. They were, and some still are, toxic! Yes, I agree it’s hard to show affection to them when they didn’t do it with us. That’s why we need to break this cycle & not do it with our kids!!
My dad was very emotionally absent as well growing up and it does effect your adult life and relationships. I’m still in the process of healing my childhood trauma and I’m glad you brung it up. A lot of people used to tell me why I was so cold hearted and didn’t show emotions and I didn’t like bringing people into my private life but it’s it deeper than you think. Sometimes I’m happy alone and having my own little space but I’m trying to work on it for my relationship because my boyfriend doesn’t deserve that.

My Mom had me & my sister late too, and we grew up walking on egg shells daily…not just from her - our Dad too. We didn’t grow up with that typical Mother & Daughter bond, like you’ve said in the past - our Mom wouldn’t even tell us she loved us. I remember her being so detached and now as an adult I realized she was very depressed. We have a great relationship now and she’s the best Grandmother to me & my sisters kids..she cuddles them like she never did us 😂

My mom always worked, barely had time for us which is understandable because she was working for me and sister. But at the same we needed that kind of affection too.. so I understand where you’re coming from!! My sister and I had a bad toxic relationship with my mom, and now that we’re older and both live by ourselves and I can now say that me and my mom have the best relationship ever. She’s my best friend. Try to understand where Mama comes from, she was dealing with a lot of depression at the time that you didn’t understand. Everything takes time!! I just want to say I relate soooo much almost every single thing you said from being raised with older parents. My mom also suffered a lot from depression and neglect my emotions a lot. We made it work and I love her no matter what. My mom passed away and when I came across videos of mama she reminded me so much of my mom. May you pleassse make video of growing up with mama ? I completely agree with you with the mama situation. Growing up my mom never showed us any affection and was super strict with everything which caused me to be sneaky around her and hide everything from her. Even now it still feels weird to even say I love you or to even give her a hug lol. Now I have a baby of my own and I make sure to show her all the love in the world! You have to build a bond and a safe space with them from the beginning.

Hey moe love ur videos, girl I gotta tell ya cause I ain’t got no one to tell but I just did the 23&me last month and found out I have three sisters I’m finally going to meet my dad in may 37 years not knowing my dad I feel so beyond blessed! What’s even better is I didn’t have the best up bringing as far as abuse and molestation. 🥺 I wanna shout it to the world! I’m so happy this is the happiest I’ve been in years! Enjoyed listening to some of your life issues past and present. True as you get older and observe others life styles and know what you have already seen or done it's a learning experience. Nobody is perfect not even you but their is someone out there that will be your match but you have to make some changes becuse it does take two to work on a relationship and both to be on the same page and have the same goals in life. Trust, patience and comunication is the secret... well works so far for me..I have been married and together with my husband for 35 yrs. Met at 23 yrs. old.
