Omg don't even mention mold I live in an apartment and last month I noticed a design on my black sheets and then I looked at my clothes mold has destroyed all of my clothes shoes and furniture in my bedroom but the management is mad at me they said I'm complaining well like I told them you all get paid faithfully every month fix the problem so of course they don't want to do that they want to move me into another unit I said nope because all of these apartments has mold so I'm in the process of getting a brand new apartment and where I'm living don't even know what I'm doing and since they don't care about my health and property I don't care about their rent
They can get asthma with the mold 😩
Oh no you guys should have never moved in there. As tenants you have rights. That’s basically an unlivable house how they gave it to you. You can sue them if you really wanted to. Hope it gets better but you shouldn’t let them get away with that.

You guys can also charge for the time cleaning the house, going to the store to buy cleaning supply, paint, wood ect. It’s the property manager’s job to make sure the house is in living condition & they should take care of taking tenets to court. You guys should just buy a house thou.

I hope ya have receipts for everything ya paid to fix and clean and make the landlord reimburse you guys because that was their job to make sure the house was up to standards before you guys moved in smfh or honestly don’t pay the rent because you guys have rights as tenants to move into house that is livable and that house definitely was not. The prop owner was probably desperate for money and took your money ASAP. With everything that’s going on I don’t doubt they used up you money real quick to pay if any bills they own and now they are going to lag with anything else that need fixing like the cabinets

YES! I am going through a rodent issue rn at the house I am renting. I told my landlord about it and have yet to hear back. Sad part is that they're Latino also and you would think we would help each other out. They only care for the $$$.

I had this same situation in August too! Our landlord sold all his properties so we had a month to move out. We found a house but my husband says it was filthy. He didn’t even want me to come see it because he knew I wouldn’t want to live here 😂 he cleaned most of it, I had to take care of our kids. But when we moved in I made sure to deep clean everything! I love cooking so I couldn’t wait to see the kitchen but the oven was sooooo disgusting 🤮 it had grease on the bottom and all over the oven walls. I wanted to get a whole new stove 🥲 the kitchen sink had old food and water in it.. that’s not even all of it tho 😒 idk how people can live like that.
We definitely need a room tour!..... good things always come to those who wait. ❤

We bought a house like that too. We offered the seller 10, 000 less than asking price and he accepted. He knew it was a lot of worked needed but it had so much potential. We remodeled and we love it now. Congratulations on your new home!
They didn’t buy, they’re renting so the owner should 100% be paying for the repairs. I hope they get reimbursed for what they spent to hire the cleaning ladies also.

Glad everything is over and your all getting everything to normal.In my personal opinion even if you didn’t take a look at the house or did your research on the house.I honestly think it’s the landlord or property manager responsibility to fix and clean the house before tenants move in.If they didn’t do their obligation it looks bad from their part.Also some houses need to be winterize for winter and I hope the ceiling and walls can be fix before winter comes.Winterization is high priority in the south around the 19 we had a winter blizzard it was 19° people’s apartments and some house were not winterize therefore they had pipes burst due to it not being winterize.Pipes need to be winterize windows attic and basement.I hope your property manager puts that on his to do list is high priority.

When we bought our first house we did a walk through and everything was perfect but when it was move in day and all the previous owners things were gone, the house was filthy. I had a fit and didn’t want the house anymore so my realtor paid for cleaning ladies lol. Can’t imagine your situation 🥺

from moving for 4 years straight back then my parents never told our landlords that we were moving on the exact dates they’d actually tell them dates a week after the actual move date for reasons like cleaning, or fixing whatever needs to be fixed or just simply having a lot of time to be able to move out and not have to stress out.

My close friend is a realtor and let me tell you guys… when a home is listed by a realtor whether for rent or sale the photos are taken by a professional photographer. So always go to it and see in person if you really like it then.

The same thing happened to us we BOUGHT the house and they said they had cleaned it and hell no they didn’t do shit it was nasty as hell when we started moving our stuff we had to clean everything.
