    I am a power user. I like to tinker. But the simplicity of this printer is great. It did print straight out of the box. The beginner printer is going to go away in favor of this one. No more replacing springs, hot ends, tramming and hoping your printer works good for a few weeks. I bought it on Black Friday. There is no way to go wrong with it. Thanks for the video.

    Seriously. Thank you again! I bought one of these for my home business. It is literally saving my bacon right now. The thing just...works!

    Thanks for sharing. I worked with several projects in USAF that used VAXs. When lived & volunteered with schools in Nashua I “played” with PDP 8 & 11, APPLE IIs ,MACs recently learned about Raspberry Pi and at Make Nashville played with multiple 3D printers. Currently researching 3D printers for my use at home to create models for my Model Railroading, Amateur Radio, Drones hobbies. I subscribed to your channel !

    Flashforge is a beginner printer company. It was my first printer. Like he said it’s a toaster. Flash print was my first slicer and I loved it. It has adjustable supports etc

    Biggest problem is the Flashprint slicer software. I can use Cura, but it doesn't like it. Also, for the price WiFi would be nice. Totally agree on the build quality. Oh, clearing a blocked nozzle can be quite a mission. Most printer reels do not fit the holders. it's a pain.

    Great review of the FFCP2, what replacement nozzles does it use, MK10 M7? Hopefully they are not proprietary.

    Great timing. I have been looking at this brand to start phasing out my Creality printers. Very disappointed in the low quality from Creality, but not surprised. Really hoping the Flashforge are much better on maintenance and reliability!

    • @MrBassard
      @MrBassard Před 3 lety +1

      Creality printers are a decent base to start with but I have found they all need work and at least a few tweaks for them to be on par with more expensive printers. The IDEX technology once you get it right will be much better than the older version of this printer.

    • @DanJonesShow
      @DanJonesShow Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrBassard Yea I agree. Creality isn't "bad" but cheaper build quality. I am just done with the constant repair. I have (two 3 v2's and two 5 pros) and they are always broken. I am looking forward to buying this machine at some point, if it really is reliable.

      Ditto. I like tinkering but with 3D printers I find it annoying because there are dozens of key variables and testing and adjusting them can be an incredibly lengthy process. I want to make objects, not printers.

    I got a flash forge for creator pro two and it has not worked since it came out of the box. I finally had to go into the bottom of it and look, and I found where it was wired backwards. I straighten that out I’ve done everything to flash forge has told me to do, and it still doesn’t work

    Very useful info. Question:
    Does the force of removing prints cause the bed to become unlevel?

    • @MakeWithTech
      @MakeWithTech  Před 3 lety

      I did not have a problem with that. My printer also came with 1 replacement print bed sheet and you can purchase additional sheets.

    Sitting in front of my Pro2 , great machine, having only one issue with FlashCloud ( I cant find the registration code... ) not in the manual or as recommended in the easy (very good) touch screen. This is my first printer, only managed to print the test prints from the SD card... anyway good review DrVax. I agree with all your comments, I just need more time to play (or workout how to download files) Jon T, England

    Hey Doc lol I am a gunsmith and I was looking at getting into Printing. I wanted to try and print mags and furniture so I didn’t have to buy any parts anymore. The price is just ridiculous for basic things. Would recommend this printer for that reason?
