All Sound No Talk: Korg Volca Modular

- Disclosure: A Korg employee gave me this synth at NAMM. They didn't ask me to make anything with it but hey it's a new synth and we're all curious how it sounds. This is a video of me using it for the first time, patched for about 20 minutes and trimmed it down to my favorite bits. Raw audio recorded direct with no post processing.

Imagine having a volca modular and just making a bunch of crazy Kraftwerk-esque electronic drum sequences. That sounds honestly super fun
That last patch was beautiful! I've been waiting to hear someone make a "pretty" sounding patch and then tweak it. I can't wait to get my hands on one!

i think the most interesting thing is how long he had the same melody with so much consistency and yet the duration, filtering, and timbre were constantly changing, i feel like that could be incredible both for live experience and for incorporating into music
Ok, im most likely the youngest person to watch your videos but for my 11 birthday i got one of these and i played with it for about 3 days then kinda stopped, then i saw everything you can do with it and this is Awsome!
This is the best demo of this so far. I initially didn't think so much of this synth, but you've really brought out some great variances in the sound and capabilities, and you always have a way of getting melodic ideas out of the more abstract synths. Great work!
This thing is like an 80's video games/synthwave generator in a box. Rad af.

Reminds me a lot of music like SOPHIE or Arca, definitively modular synths haven't disappeared from the vanguard i suppose
