- The Fenix PD40R V3.0 Rechargeable Flashlight is an upgrade that checks all the improvements customers have been asking for. The newly designed patented mechanical switch has raised grips for easy one-handed operation. Simply rotate the dial to access its modes-great for gloved hands. I have a slightly older version and it is absolutely awesome
I have this model. Use it almost every evening on walks. It gets very warm on the higher settings, but not dangerous. I like that it will auto dim when the battery is getting low, letting you know it’s time to charge.
That light has a battery level indicator, so when you turn it on it let's you know the current battery status. And it has a low-voltage warning where the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
It has become my favorite flashlight
Very easy to use when using the flashlight with an underhand grip
It's great that I'm not going to be too vigorous and trigger the sos or strobe
The ring switch, not the side switch, allows me to quickly dim the flashlight as well as increase it
And I don't have to roll the flashlight around in my hand to find the side switch in the dark🤣
Thanks for that. It too is one of our favorites for those reasons as well!
I have the V3.0 and love it. So much so that I've bought one for myself and three for family members. The one thing that would make this perfect is a tail switch for memory instant on.
Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately we cannot combine both types of switches.
Love this flashlight🎉
Needs a swtch just for on and off so the ring can be used like a memory
The technology to have both a ring and switch is patented by another company. Thanks for the feedback.
Love it, bought two:D
Thank you so much!
Love it!
Thanks!! We like it too!
Está linterna es una maravilla, tiene un foco inundador amplio y un foco concentrado que llega muy lejos, no he visto linterna de este tamaño con esa potencia lumínica hasta hoy..
¡Muchos gracias! We agree that this a great flashlight.
I love FENIX products i got a FENIX hp30r v2.0 headlight but i would like to know if i can use a power bank while it is in use thanks.
Yes you can, but it is not recommended for to do so for a long time. Too much current running through the circuit can cause excessive heat build up in the battery pack.
@@FenixLightingUSA ok thanks
Hope it's better than the V2 that wouldn't hit turbo if the battery was 85% or less.
Check out the runtime chart on our webpage: www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-pd40r-v3-rechargeable-flashlight
This. Runtime charts don’t answer this, v2 had a similar chart where turbo lasted for 2h but after the battery level dropped below 85% (so… all the time unless charging with external charger), I’d never get turbo at all
Honestly, I felt a bit tricked with this one
@@pmgalves1977 worst light I ever owned. Sold it after 2 weeks.
@@pmgalves1977I'm no expert, so I could be wrong, but from what I gather, that's the way turbo works: the producer puts as much output as they can into a turbo mode, but as soon as the battery starts getting lower, the voltage drops and there's just not enough "oomph" left to power it that high anymore. I guess they could go with a bigger capacity battery, but then you'd just get an even higher turbo output that would be gone soon as well. Another solution would be to just drop turbo modes and go with a more sustainable high mode as the highest setting, but some wouldn't like that either, and tbqh, I think high numbers is a marketing gimmick that actually works.
But as I said, I could be wrong about the technical aspects as electronics really ain't my field.
@@WeldingForJesus that turbo mode is always temporary, but on the model i mentioned, if bated is lower than 85% it doesn’t even turn on, which means it almost never turns on.
In the TK series, it always turns on, no matter the level
Can you develop a flashlight for aircraft maintenance technicians with high run time at high and very high lumen settings
We have a lot of flashlights that are used by aircraft technicians. The longer you run any flashlight at its highest settings the less time you will be able to do so. This one will run for 3 hours continuously on High at 1000 lumens.
That would make it perfect
Looks great. Want one. When it becomes available in europe? I can not buy it directly from you unfortunately because you ship only in US 😢
Yes sorry. We are the U.S. distributor and are only allowed to sell in the U.S. Please contact the factory at info@fenixlight.com and they can connect you with a European retailer.
Does it have focus/zoom?
No. It has four brightness levels.
Called today to have my UC35 warrantied under the lifetime warranty. Fenix will not honor the warranty due to the light being discontinued... they will only offer me a 30% coupon towards a new light. Main reason for buying Fenix was for the Lifetime warranty. Buyers beware investing in this company's products!
Sorry you are displeased. We do state that our limited lifetime warranty is limited to 5 years and that if we are not able to repair your light due to lack of available parts (as I am sure is the case with your UC35), we will offer you a discount on a new flashlight. You can read more here: www.fenixlighting.com/policies/terms-of-service
@@FenixLightingUSAhow can you call it a lifetime warranty if it's for 5 years? That's ridiculous
@@FenixLightingUSA in English life time means the whole life cycle not 5 years. You must be sued for fake advertising
希望能多個1流明檔位跟隐藏式Type-C充电接口........
The USB port has a standard rubber cover.
@@FenixLightingUSA 是的 但我非常討厭那種橡膠蓋....
Is this a throw or flood flashlight?
The beam is more focused (spotlight) with 60954 candelas.
how can i buy this? i live in Europe :/
Contact the factory directly at info@fenixlight.com and they can help you find a retailer or distributor in your area.
When is the release date?
FenixLighting estimates 7/11/23
The official release was on July 7th. We at Fenix Lighting are expected to have inventory tomorrow. If you live in the U.S. you can purchase at: www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-pd40r-v3-rechargeable-flashlight
@@FenixLightingUSA I’ve already pre ordered when y’all posted it. Thanks
I just got. Tubo 20 seconds auto step down even nó hot. Why. I used so many fenix product. But why this kind so bad
The light will step down due to heat, but 20 seconds is too quick. Please contact our warranty & repair department and let them help you trouble shoot that. www.fenixlighting.com/pages/warranty-repairs
@@FenixLightingUSA tubo 20-25s ( in tubo mode if rotate to high or lower mode then rotate to turbo again cannot tubo it maybe around 1200lumen. So I’m not understand about that even no hot. If keep at turbo mode until 1 minute is ok. But if I rotate to high mode or lower mode then turn to turbo again cannot turbo. Why.
@@FenixLightingUSA Initially I turned on the highest at 3000 lumens, if I left it in that mode for about 1 minute, it would lower the light, and if I was in the highest mode, it was 3000 lumens for about 20 seconds, but I switched to the lower mode and rotated. When you return to the highest mode, you can't get up to 3000 lumens like the original. even though it's only been 25 seconds and the light isn't hot yet.
So glad the tail switch is gone on this one..... not I need to order.
Some people like a tail switch, while others do not. That is why we have so many choices :)
it was gone on the V2 as well.
I have been using phoenix flashlights for years and they’re absolutely incredible. I work a job where a good flashlight is an absolute must. I use the PD36 and the TK30 for long distance.
I was curious if you guys ever plan on making a light that has a flood mode and also a throw mode?
We used to have the FD series lights that had an adjustable head which would focus the beam, but they did not sell very well and discontinued. There are no plans currently to offer both as most people are happy with the brightness levels vs. beam intensity.
LR40R is expensive but it does this with a single LED throw and LED"s around the outside for flood.
