Its kinda weird that capcom actually had the hardest ai for now in sf6 (like they literally input read you and respond to everything perfectly)
But man, i really miss the SNK boss syndrome, not only the input read, but also the safe invincible and unblockable move that somehow spamable, which explain why lot kof fans remember the saying "genocide cutter and koko desu ka", welp, cuz the boss spam the shit out of it freely unpunished, god i miss it so much

@@ladjielYeah Capcom has a really difficult AI to beat. Even in SF5, the Extra Battle mode had some very difficult boss fights like Shin Akuma and Shadaloo Lady (Chun-Li)

I met kof many years ago thanks to mame 32, the first kof I played was 96 and it was one of my favorites, it took me many tries to beat Goenitz 😅 It's great to see him again as both a boss and a playable character.
Can't wait, favourite SNK boss and he looks sick, especially that extra outfit. Goentiz along with the crossplay matchmaking fix is gonna be beyond hype.

tbf, SF6 lvl 8 is very good which masks its cheapness...while SnK bosses are just cheap Af
People say they want it until snk do it and its HARD AF and no one can defeat them. Rugal in kof 02 I just use to turn it off when I got to him. Kof 98 I could only bear rugal with an Kyokugenryu Karate character

@@watersports1381he only thing that’s cheap is the insane input reads. Everything else is perfectly fine, because all their other shenanigans are possible in an actual match; it’s the same as the characters you’re playing, just optimized to the max.
Hopefully they will make him challenging,
And if they ever make a Season 3 I hope the free Boss in that will be Krizalid, I really want to see want he would be like in this game.

normally i would understand not wanting an overly cheap boss but frankly KOF15 is way too niche to have to care about scaring away new people or something. they gotta focus on hardcore at this point and just go all in.
Rugal still felt pretty cheap despite not being his 94 version. I hear a lot of people say he was pretty easy, but only if you know the exploits. But I never knew the exploit, so this boss was a nightmare. Goenitz is going to probably be a nightmare as well, unless the exploit is really obvious.
Honestly I dont know what max is talking about because the home console versions of kof in 90's were still hard. Trying to defeat any of the snk bosses back in the 90's on ps1 took the whole day

KOF 15 is so awesome that it made me go back and play all the older KOF games and it has been a blast. The SNK vs Capcom games are something that need to happen again really. You should visit those games as well.

Damn man, we got KOF, SF, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat all coming with the mf'in heat. Diamond age for fighting games right now. Just wish KOF had something similar to a world tour mode like SF6, they came up short on that end imo
They gave me Rugal and Goenitz, 2 of my favorite KOF bosses for free. If they somehow do a season 3 and give me someone from NESTS saga I'm sure will go nuts for it.

regarding timing of SNK game releases... Steam port of Samurai Shodown came out THREE DAYS after Strive resulting in a 160 players peak on release day.
At that point they should have just waited for rollback patch.

When he interrupts the 96 tournament with the finger of God he kicks your ass while he continues to whip the surroundings with his power I remember the npc that appears in the background suddenly struggling to hold on to save himself that explains the other more powerful version I still remember when I faced him for first time from the stage, soundtrack, how brutal the blows sounded and the bloodthirsty of their attacks while laughing at a truly apocalyptic scene made you feel respect for the game 😱

I feel like Fighting game AI is just hard to do well in the first place. since they cant act like people, they almost always devolve into input reading you, meaning the best way to beat em is to find a loop they fall for (usually spamming armour or invuln). Bosses though can be where you specifically build them around teaching habits to the player, like whiff punishing, or rolling. That might've been the idea behind Rugal actually, but KOF15 seems under the impression that their notorious difficulty scares people away rather than being a selling point, so Rugal got easily cheesed
that doesn't stop other companies to make harder to beat bosses like Arc System Works
I mean, is it too much to ask to give bosses a linear set of attacks that you can learn and take advantage of? 2D platformers do this often. Hollow Knight is a favorite of mine when it comes to this. I'm just throwing out a question btw, so I'm not expecting my suggestion to not have any loopholes.

SNK need crank up the difficulty, at least to around KoF 97 Orochi level. It can be a great showcase for the game too since the bosses have proper combos now.
97 orochi is the one of easiest bosses os all time, bro.
@@CryDevilBabyApocalypse I'm thinking it in terms of current SNK. KoF 97 Orochi is a good in-between for classic BS SNK boss vs just a good boss fight.
Also, bosses having proper combos might actually make it more difficult (ie maybe Igniz level?) because they can punish mistakes better instead of just doing insane BS damage from 1-2 moves.

All the characters can do that, you activate Max mode, do a lvl 1 then lvl2 and finish with lvl 3.

I think they don’t want to lock the second costume out for people who can’t beat him. But they should just give it on normal difficulty. Add a super hard mode without unlockables behind it. Problem was you get one hit confirm into supers and it’s done, idk give ‘em more health.

If the matchmaking is still broken after this update the entire game may as well be dead this year. I bought this game in February and had no idea the match making was so fucked.
If sf6 wasn't go great, goenitz finna make me hop back on kof 15 for real. This is like a jojo fusion with nickelback
Evil Eminem is the best KOF villain for me, so I expected nothing less than the best modeling in this game, Goenitz he looks like from KOF, but he's much better modeled jesus he has better fabric than Kim's pants had.

I get Max having too much time in his hands with Street Fighter 6 and FFXVI, but I think he should give KOF XV another look, but it does seem like he's pretty much done with the game as there aren't really any other characters he's excited for except Shen.
Thing is all these other franchises are doing a bunch of cool stuff whereas KOF is just doing more of the same and the online isn’t so great. Max has never been a huge KOF guy, he checks it out here and there when there are characters he’s interested in but unless they did something really crazy and new I don’t think it’ll ever be a franchise that he consistently plays a lot. Especially with so much other great stuff coming out, like man this year has been packed with great games and there are even more on the horizon.
Nah max doesn't like kof the only fighting game max checks for is SF and mvc that's it. Any other fighting game he reports it's for views

We almost got one in Capcom Fighting All-Stars, but not only it was cancelled, but the guest character's identity is still a mystery due to legal reasons.

I'm still waiting for TheQuarterGuy to do his own Boss Rage for that fight ever since his countdown on Boss Rage episodes years back. He essentially introduced that fight to me and led to me finding the horror stories surrounding her.
