The "muscles" are scallops and they can swim by opening and closing their shells rapidly. Most bivalves use a foot to crawl through sand but scallops have evolved the ability to swim to escape predators like starfish and crabs. They also have many tiny eyes that can detect when a predator is nearby through the shadows they make. They're pretty neat critters.

The simple answer for the trees: There was extremely high wind when they were still very young. The trees were unrooted and knocked over. Since they were still alive, the roots found their way back into the ground and the tree eventually grew upwards again, leaving the trunk horizontal.

The crooked forest is just an effect of very slow movement of upper earth layer. The ground moves and doing so it tilts the trees. But tree naturally want to grow upright, so as it grows more it tries to correct itself.

All elasmobranchs lay eggs like sharks. Each species looks slightly different, but all basically the same (and can be known as "mermaids' purses"). So, in Sweden, you could be seeing ray eggs; there are also 7 native shark species around Sweden and another 8 which are more sporadic, so could be shark anyway.
