That voice actor is over used. Too many roles that sound exactly the same.
Sterling Archer is Bob Belcher and Cyril Figgis is Jerry Smith. Get it! 🤣

Ironically, both Archer and Cyril are both pretty pathetic in their own ways. Archer is a guy with severe mommy issues while Cyril is a guy who can't get over a chick who never wanted him in the first place.

I think Cyril has mommy issues too, like in the first few episodes he talks about how his mom died in a car crash or House fire or something.
Why is having mommy issues pathetic? It's not your fault or something you should e ashamed off. Are you shaming people with depression or a trauma too?

No, he was explicitly setting him up so that Archer could humiliate him himself, and was pissed off because Cyril took that away from him.

Archer has progressed a lot since Season 1. Seeing him progress and seeing his upbringing has given me a better respect for him. I don't condone his sexual tendencies, but his character development has increased a lot. He's acted more maturely (from my perspective), and he's become more caring for Lana, and for A.J. Compared between Archer and Robert, Robert is the S1 Archer. (Not saying I hated S1 Archer)
I think what you described is more what you hope you've seen rather than what it actually was. Or at least none of that would be reflected in his relationship with Cyril

What exactly has he progressed in? Cause when he was in that coma everyone got better but when he came back everyone went back to their vices and Archer accused them for needing him to be their worse when he really didn't want to admit they were all better off without him.

(Just kidding -- the conflict his pining over Lana brings out in the series is great for the story).

I still don't understand the decision to make Cyril Figgis the number spy in S11! It just doesn't make any sense, especially when Lana Kane is still active in the field. I'm glad it was retconned in S12 but they should have given us an explanation as to why he's back to being his old self instead of completely glossing over it.

I think Archer and Cyril have a thing for each other, except I think Cyril is the top, despite how loud archer is (I am joking bc the rest of you are so stupid to think that's what indicate it)
In Cyril and Archer's scenes, Cyril act like a put upon father and Archer act like a bratty kid who gets his way only because he is a brat

The worst thing this show has ever done was make Cyril "Surpressing Fire" slightly more superior than Sterling Archer. Even though it was only for one season (THANK GOD) it made Season 11 the worst in the show.
It wasn't that bad, nor was it the worst thing the show has ever done. I enjoyed watching Cyril being superior to Archer, and was annoyed when the show reverted him back to his old self.
@@justinbryan6249 nah it was the worst. It's one thing to make Cyril less insecure it's a whole other thing to make him the number one spy just because Archer is in a coma. That's like Lana being frozen for three years and Cheryl becoming not only a sane person but also the legal guardian of AJ (Archer is on the run and for arguments sake Lana's family including sister are dead).
@@RomaroBrandon It was not the worst. Also Cyril becoming top agent because Archer was in a coma is not the same as Cheryl becoming AJ's guardian because Lana's frozen.
@@RomaroBrandon With Archer in a coma, Cyril was able to become less insecure and focus on his work. And all of his hard work for 3 straight years have payed off when he became the top agent.
@@RomaroBrandon Plus with Archer gone, everybody was able to move on and become the best version of themselves.

The voice for Archer doesn't fit. It's why i never was able to watch this show. That same voice actor gets too many roles and makes the characters less believable.
I used to think the same thing. But then i stopped watching bobs burgers and the voice didn't sound so weird anymore
