I cannot comment the Falath evo video, so I will put my comment here. I was considering both frames, Vanyar and Falath, I have just bought the Falath Evo frameset as mostly I'm riding on flat and it looks amazing. I will have almost the same groupset, however all from Sram Red except the cassette, I will go with 1x12, 36x48t. We will see how it goes and I will put my review, I already had querciotti and cube. Now I decided to conduct some experiment with Elves ;)
thank you for your comment, I really would like to know what do you think after the first ride and then after 5 rides. My opinion can change from ride to ride...on the Vanyar it has...but on the Falath evo unfortunately it stayed the same...share your thoughts as I would like to know what you think. Most of CZcamsrs have said that they liked it but comapring the bike to what I rode in the past it's just not there...Vanyar on the other hand was good. I wouldn't mind ridding it every day.
@approvedcycling In general, it's great that we have so many options with different brands and geometries for almost everyone. Some people want something aggressive, some rather more comfortable. We'll see how it works for me; I rather prefer aggressive. For sure, it's good to have some expert opinions and reviews. You mentioned some interesting aspects, so I'll for sure test it. One more, for me, the biggest issue was the weight. Elves declares around ~1165 g, I measure around 1365, so big difference!
@@mariuszuzdowski4620 Regarding the Falath Evo, its pretty bulky with Elite Drive 50D wheels and Sram Red it tipped the scale at 7,85kg. So yeah not the lightest. But considering Trek Aero bike has the same weight but costs more than 2x more...If you have the option buy the Vanyar as well for me the bike road really good if you want an aggressive stiff bike especially good for climbing.
@@approvedcycling I bought Falath Evo and at the moment in my local bike shop they are assembling the whole bike. I didn't check the weight, but based on my calculation without pedals it should be around 7.4-7.5 kg, so quite light as it is an aero bike. I have many doubts what frame should I choose, I still believe that I made a right choice, but we will see very soon ;)

what size this Vanyar frame is? and your height and other bike fitting dimensions? looking at its geometry specs, it seems unusual the seat tube length, pretty longer than other bikes with same performance/climbing purpose (e.g. BMC Teammachine in size 56)
HEad to head comparisopn with the TM not the TM R is that the TM is more comfortable an dand high speeds it was little bit unstable. The Elves Vanyar is stiff which means it clims really good, here i think TM or Vanyar are both good on descents the TM feels a bit shy and this one feels all the ankles end ellbows are stiff. So in my opinion if you ride mostlly to 100km and you want a race bike Vanyar is a really solid option. But if you want a comfortable bike that climbs really good and you are not that bother mhow does it descent at 50km/h plus go with TM. I am 180cm and this is the size M. My seat height is 75,3cm.

Question about the wheels : I live in the alps, so I will mostly do uphill. Should I go for the Orome TH30D (30mm depth) or the TH50D (50mm depth)? They only have a 60g difference
If you are looking for marginal gaisn then every g counts, we haven't ridden them but lower profile it should ride better. Depends on the climb steepness etc. Since the pros are ridding 50-55mm almost all the time I do not see it as big of a difference for recreational riders. But lower profile does ride a lot better in the wind...but worse in high speeds 40-45 km/h and up.

I have F5 and it's probably the worst bike for climbing i ever ride but it's very comfortable and amazing on flat and descents
with what wheels do you own the F5? If they are any of the stock options Pinarello has that is the problem. Try a lighter setup and the bike will feel totaly different...
I have CarbonOne wheels with carbon spokes and carbonti hubs, they are pretty light below 1400g but the rim is 50 so maybye there is the issue. I feel like something holding me back when i climb with this bike 😅
@@hektor6675 thats strange because the wheels are solid from what you are saying. We tested it with PCW Wake 6560 and TR01 hubs and I didn't found an issue...We expected it to be worse then it was really good on slopes from 4-10% incline. I do not think the rim depth is the problem. But I agree you can find a lighter bike for climbing...Elves Vanyar does climb like the best bikes on the market for a very affordable price!

@@hektor6675 In your case I am not sure the wheels are the problem. If they weight bellow 1400g with light tubes I would not change the wheels, but you can try and see. Thank you for the kind words. We do try and keep it 100% regarding production we can improve a lot but wha tis the most important we do not hold back and give our honest opinion :)

You cant compare a Falath with a Teammachine, or any other high end bike that is 2-3 times the price!
For the price you pay, you get a fucking good deal.
The Falath feels great on the road, is compf enough for 200km rides, climbes good for a Aerobike, and i have no issues putting power in the frame and getting that power on the road.
We didn’t know, now they are turned on. We like comments like yours since it gives the people more opinions that they can decide for themselves what to believe. For the value 6500€ like the one we tested was i can honestly say there are a bunch of bikes that ride better. You can buy a scott, bmc, pinarello, colnago etc. for 5000€ and put on a good pair of wheels and the bike will be light speed ahead of the falath…vanyar on the other hand is a totally different bike which i liked and i will recommend. Since you like the falath, with what bike do you compare it to that you rode?
