- Alex Grey (born November 29, 1953) is an American visual artist, author, teacher, and Vajrayana practitioner known for creating spiritual and psychedelic paintings. He works in multiple forms including performance art, process art, installation art, sculpture, visionary art, and painting. He is also on the board of advisors for the Center for Cognitive Liberty and Ethics, and is the Chair of Wisdom University's Sacred Art Department. He and his wife Allyson Grey are the co-founders of The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM), a non-profit organization in Wappingers Falls, New York.

The dream is coming alive under the realization that many subtle and imperceptible steps are taken each day towards a goal when the mind and heart makes it into a priority. Dude when I took mushrooms I swear I felt that presence it felt as self love and once I was able to love myself I appreciated everything around me I remember looking at my cat being grateful and I thought about every past traumas I had and realized these things were hindering me but after connecting the dots of I was able to let go of that trauma and for the first time in my life I felt so much joy and love I cried so deeply it felt like I was releasing so much negative energy I had stored up inside I came back a happier man
Now imagine living your entire life like that. The shrooms were just a tool to help you’re third eye open. But now that you can see they are no longer necessary. Keep on going live every day with purpose and love every moment. You’ve got this bro I love you.

@@fernandocontreras1577 I find counting my in and out breathe helps to give my mind "something to do". Or even repeating a mantra like "breathing in, breathing out". Focus on the sensation of the air as well.

The first tattoo I ever got was a feathered quill with a third eye, heavily inspired by Alex's depiction of the divine artist's pen. I have his book Sacred Mirrors, and the man is on another level. His story of a sequence of dreams he was visited by that turned him from creating very dark, evil imagery into images that only celebrate creation is a story I go back to time and time again. This world is incredible.
Honestly... Alex Grey is the most overrated psychedelic artist there is - He doesn't have fuck on Beksinski, Johfra, oleg Koralev, Robert venosa, martina hoffman, nerdrum, giger, maura holden - Yet has the audacity to claim he's the reincarnation of Jean Delville - Even look at his figure studies and they are college level at best. There's a synthetic quality to his work that I find goes not far beyond new age "Kitch" while rehashing the same aestheitc and themes for the last 30 years

If you think education only takes place in an institution, think again. As long as you breath, your mind, your heart and your soul are seeking knowledge. I see so many people rejecting knowledge, denying wisdom, every single day. It affects them, breaks their hearts; they become angry and bewildered. They would much rather tune in, tune out- and reject truth. I wonder if there's any hope left. The worst part of all this is I'm the only one that seems to recognize what's going on, and I want to tear my hair out while my friends are only concerned with football.

We do not seek knowledge as much as we strive for Love.. a worldly purpose isn’t as important when there is so many miserable people with “meaningful” lives. The smartest and most knowledgeable of people are the ones that make happiness a choice and act on it through Love.

I believe his intentions are good but I also believe he's being extremely ignorant to the doors he would be opening and the Monsters behind those doors. If you play close attention he's not just talking about teenagers. Finding the Alex Grey videos a bit time-consuming but he definitely has some controversial views about families doing drugs together and providing drugs to children he makes it out like he has it all figured out but I also think he's being very ignorant and living in his own small world. wow. what a collab. Blessings and gratitude for all.
This brought me to tears. I’ll be honest, as a musician and visual artist myself, the love to create something incredible for another human to enjoy with no expectation of a compensation for creating said thing is both unexplainable as to why I do it and why I enjoy it.
But lately, I’ve lost the desire to do it. As badly as I want to pick up my guitars, keyboard, and open Ableton to let the unexplainable force to create go, it hasn’t been there. Because I’ve been depressed and pretty miserable. Just thinking about life… thinking about the end, thinking about how any of this could be real because it seems so unfair and cruel to be a conscious being to know it all ends. It’s like what for? Is much as I’ll never act on it, suicide runs on my mind almost constantly, everyday, because I hate the fact that this life that I am truly grateful to have will just go away. I’m aware I’m on a timeline and it pains me to think that this is real.
But you know what, I watched this video, and I felt the affirmation I’ve truly always wanted to have given to me that I could never find. Things have to go on, and they will. I am the way I am because I am something more, like every single thing on this Earth and in the universe. I believe in a loving God but have always believed it from a point of God as the universe. And it crushed my soul to be fascinated by space, the unfathomable size and wonder of its nature… but to be stuck here in a body. To never be able to reach the unknown of its depths, to know I would die outside of the Earth. To know that I will die someday in general.
But this video changed my perspective entirely, immediately. This video gave me happiness and optimism I have not felt in a very long time. This video gave me peace and understanding, and most importantly, closure to a fear and anxiety that I will not go on. Thank you for this, I really needed this.
