  • Disclaimer: I am not a speedrunner, I do things unoptimally and probably do so knowingly. I find enjoyment in many ways while playing this game and while tryharding might be one of them I wanted to put out a video that can be accomplished by any player from the get go.
    Moreso maybe for those who are trying many different playthroughs in Baldur's Gate 3.
    Can be done in Gale's playthrough.

    You can also use a different character to get slept by Gut if you wanted to be an Elf, since you grabbed the goblin camp WP just TP gale there and let her inspect Gale instead of you.

      Eh, you can comfortably get to level 7 or so pre act 2 if you do creche and under dark. Even with just one or the other you can safely get to atleast 6 before last light. After you get to level 4 all of that gets pretty quick to do imo pending on your comp.

    If you immediately go south to the swamp don't you miss out on being able to buy elixir of Hill giant strength? Or at least however many she sells in the Grove?

      That is correct

      I think you can trade with Ethel if you side with her in the swamp, then at the tea house, click the trade icon in the bottom left after talking to her. Afterwards just make sure to leave her conversation without antagonizing her, and you'll be able to shop there again after every long rest and level up. The playthrough I saw this on did meet her in the grove, but I feel like it doesn't matter

      On controller you can press triangle (Y?) and her regular shopping window opens anywhere, going south is actually better since she has a portal next door instead of grove and its annoyingly long walk

    Is there something stopping you from doing the Gith-check much earlier? (In case you fail and have to start over)

    I jumped up to the windmill and they attacked me even as a Drow.

      A bit late of a reply, but you have to make sure you either jump or walk up those stairs next to that one specific unique goblin to trigger a dialogue, if you trigger an encounter from any other direction, you'll enter combat.

      It's totally possible to get to level 4 in the same or less time without splitting the party or doing all that jumping.

      The constant jumping also looks ridiculous. We play games to waste time so why the need to hurry?

    • @SordidusFellatio
      @SordidusFellatio Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@christinehede7578 because CZcamsrs, they act like they HAVE to optimize in literally everything. Like this video here, imagine you start a new run and you specifically chose these character build just to get to lvl 4 as fast as you could, oh my I sure do think I would enjoy playing a slow paced story driven D&D game like that 😂

      @@SordidusFellatio i give you an explanation on why people do this, if you die in honor mode you have to run it back and its boring and repetitive after a while to repeate act 1 cause you died in honor so you rush the first level making the first fights kinda easy and enjoyable

      As mindblowing as it is, you can also just not use these methods if they grind your ass so much. These videos give us more insight and options for our runs so I’d sat that’s a W.

    Exploring the area, and getting to the under dark quickly (through goblin camp) helps. Althoughhhhh...... fucking Ethel did hold person on ALL the party and she was low health. Fucking BRUTTAL. I mean if where a game dev I would only let one compainion go in for the clutch.
