- Automate 2015 was held at the McCormick center in Chicago. It is a biennial trade show and conference that is the largest solutions-oriented trade show for robotics and automation. This video is a compilation of some of the vendors' demonstrations from the second day of the show.
That part with those 9v batteries is very cool. Random batteries coming in, one robot puts them very quickly in a randomly orrientated row, and the next robot knows the random orrientation and picks the whole row up. Must be fun to program :)
Agree with all you wrote. Saved me writing the same :)
As you say, I’d love to working on programming that stuff. Instead of 5G mobile core technologies that I do work on which might sound interesting but isn’t....
Mind blowing video....thanks for d video....keep posting such videos....Its damn cool...!!!

Did Skynet have a booth?
This is my Disneyland.
Also, how the heck did that floating ball work!!!
Try it at home with a hairdryer and pingpong ball
Mark Osmond Coanda effect.
dim sum yeah but that is only when it is perpendicular to the ground right? This on is on a slant.
Isaiah Schwartz if the ball is light enough that probably works anyway. Either that or there are additional air hoses we don't see in the video.
I know i'm a bit late to the party, but it's a Bernoulli's Principle at work right here (ball moves from the low speed/high pressure zone to the high speed/low pressure zone; it works when stream is tilted as long as vertical force resulting from pressure difference is greater than weight of the ball)
That hand!
What kind of programming languages are used to operate such machines? How to learn it?
Different for every robot, unless you use something like ROS / RoboDK
ABB: RobotStudio
FANUC: ROBOGUIDE
UR: Universal Robot's SDK with VirtualBox
and more...
*** *slaps top of hydraulic arm* *** _"This bad boy can sink so many hoops."_
anyone can say what is the best characteristic in (many of) those bots??
..u will show ur expertise in robots
THOSE ROBOTS CAN "SEE"
Repeatability
So did FANUC really steal the show with so many demos, or are you biased towards the yellow guys? ;-)

About the basket ball....hows the programmming done🤔
I'm imagining they are using some sort of vision to pick the basketball up. As long as the hoop doesnt move and the programmer's moves were accurate, it will always make it in the hoop
2:45 why are they trying to kick the little guy???
best
😍😍😍😘😘😘
Sudden day tomorrow
Why did you film the ball floating in the air? That's a kiddy thing found at every kids science museum everywhere.
RESPCETED ÀBB ROBOT MANUFACTURER I WILLING TO LEARN FOR SERVICE (AS COMPANY SERVICE Er.)
2:52 Honestly, I believe this guy is playing an online game instead of working^^
None of the tasks the arms were doing were particularly difficult.
Not much to see, there, just the same three stands over and over again with different coloured machines. The only ones that grabbed my attention as something interesting were the hand and the 3D printer.
Gudel😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍
робота от 1:00 къде подрежда батерийките ряпа да яде, знам за човек, къде е по бърз
UBI now pls lol

8:22 So that’s why my weedwhacker runs like shit.
OK but robots dont eat...

I see robot people
Job killers coming to a city near you.
low-skill job killers. The same was said about carriage drivers and cars, candle manufactures and electricity, secretaries and computers.
Robot technitians a robotic support jobs are thriving.
